I scheduled an appointment to replace the cracked windshield on my Subaru. I received a reminder voicemail two days before my appointment letting me know the details: I’d have to leave my car all day so the camera systems could be recalibrated, and I’d have to pay the $500 deductible for my insurance — all no problem. The morning of my appointment, I called the number listed for this branch of Safelite to confirm that everything was all set. No answer. I called the callback number the representative left in my reminder voicemail. No answer. I called each of these numbers three or four times. This appointment was on a Sunday, so I assumed all customer service employees were off for the day. After no answer, I drove to the appointment. When I arrived, the technician told me that they would not be able to recalibrate my camera systems because of the snow, and I would have to leave my car for three days in order for them to do that. He also said that Safelite was having issues communicating with Geico, so I would have to pay the full amount of the service ($1700) instead of my $500 deductible. All of this news completely contradicted everything the representative told me over voicemail only TWO days ago. Why send a confirmation message about a price that you were never able to secure? I found it very frustrating and unprofessional that no one from Safelite contacted me to let me know of these changes before I got to my appointment, especially since that changed my ability to get service at all. Also, if a business allows appointments on Sundays, there should be someone somewhere to answer a phone. Note: None of this was at all the fault of the technician I met in person the day of my appointment. He did his best to communicate everything he knew. He was very understanding and apologetic, as well, and he acted professionally as he had to speak on behalf of those who made these decisions (not him). This is an issue of poor management, communication, and customer service. I would recommend just going to a dealership, where human beings are easier to get ahold of and where communication is better.

An absolute terrible experience. Mobile windshield replacement. Technician shows with a replacement windshield that was not polarized as the damaged windshield with no prior communication before arrival. Technician installs the plain windshield and leaves the job while leaving smudges and prints around the outside of my vehicle. There were small pieces of glass on the driver seat/floor. Began driving and the window insulator dislodged. Had to drive to the facility where I explained the situation and had to wait 10 minutes for an available Technician. Technician approaches vehicle and proceeds to attach the part. No one apologizes for any inconveniences. I leave after and enter the freeway to begin errands when I hear a loud smacking sound. Pull off the freeway to notice the window insulator was again dislodged. I had to cautiously drive and finish my errands and upon finishing I had to drive back to their facility for it to be reattached. The wait was shorter for a different technician to appear and finally fix the issue. The only apology received was from the second technician who apologized for not attaching it properly when I arrived at the facility the first time. All the while I have been keeping a polite/professional/courteous demeanor through the entire debacle even through the second visit. It is why I am not able to recommend their winshield service at this time.ServicesAuto windshield replacementPrice assessmentOverpriced

A rock shattered my windshield and I needed to get it replaced asap as it was continually cracking. I thought I was in good hands based on the reviews seen here and across local recommendations & I dropped my car off as soon as I could. What I was left with, was a car that was dirtier than I left Safelite with after camping for 3 days and a service that felt like my windshield and all the components were literally duct taped back together. Issues encountered: glass shards left on dash, rear view mirror is extremely loose, sensor on dash had the sticky tape reused and dangles (cord isn't even hidden or tucked into roof), the cowl isn't flush with the glass and the glass itself isn't even an OEM glass.. all for $500. They were sure to make sure my oil change sticker came on my new glass, but just threw away my employee parking pass that was on my windshield as well. I've decided to go to Ohio Discount Auto Glass who quoted me less of a price, for an OEM windshield and will come to me. I unfortunately can't recommend this Safelite location nor can I trust this location or Safelite to fix this and make it right after what I received back from them.

Extremely disappointed with our experience at the Sawmill SafeLite location. My girlfriend, an ER nurse, scheduled a mobile windshield replacement after her windshield cracked. The tech, Lamonte, canceled due to rain, which it never did, and told her to bring it in — she clearly said she’d go to the SafeLite near our apartment. He agreed. When we got there, he called and asked if we were at Sawmill, which he had never mentioned before. He admitted the confusion was his fault but refused to help or meet us at the closer location due to his oversight, forcing us to drive across town. We paid nearly $400. After the work was done, Lamonte said he parked the car outside and left the keys in it. We told him we’d be picking it up after hours (5 PM) — and when we arrived, the car was blocked in by other cars and totally inaccessible. No one could be reached, and we missed a planned trip to Chicago that night. We expected better communication and support. Instead, we were left stranded with zero accountability for their mistake. We’re asking for a refund to make this right.

I would give zero stars if I could. I had a disappointing experience with Safelite when they replaced my door glass in 2022. Unfortunately, they installed the wrong size glass, which was incredibly frustrating. When I reached out to address the issue, I was informed that someone would need to come out to assess the situation, but I would have to pay for that visit despite already spending $600 on a brand new window. I attempted to contact customer service multiple times and was eventually referred to a store manager. He assured me that he would escalate my claim, but after waiting two to three months without any updates, I followed up with him twice and was ignored on both occasions. The lack of communication and accountability from Safelite has left me feeling undervalued as a customer. It’s disheartening to see a company refuse to rectify their mistakes, and I cannot recommend their services based on my experience. I will certainly be looking elsewhere for any future needs and urge others to do the same before proceeding with any Safelite service

Top-Notch Service at Safelite on Sawmill! I recently had my windshield replaced at Safelite, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! From start to finish, everything was handled in a timely and professional manner. Rachel, the office manager, was absolutely fantastic. She was so friendly and kind, and really went the extra mile to get me answers to all my questions. Justin, the technician, was also great – super kind and professional. He worked efficiently and effectively, and I was impressed by how quickly he got the job done. He even took the time to test drive my car, check the sensors, and recalibrate everything. While I waited, I got to enjoy their beautiful workspace. It was clean, bright, and they even offered free coffee and water. The best part was being able to watch the windshield replacement right from the waiting area through the large windows. It was fascinating to see the process unfold! Honestly, I'd do business with Safelite anytime. If you need a windshield repair or replacement, they're definitely the place to go!

Our business had a terrible customer experience with the woman at the front desk at the sawmill Road location. Our fleet manager walked in to that location because we had a question. The woman at the counter was extremely crass and went on to say that something we had done was stupid. We don't like to do business with organizations that don't respect our employees. Further, we asked for a refund on another repair because it got worse. I understand how that can happen with windshield repairs but why would we want them to keep our money after the way they treated us. They can't give refunds and customer service sends you through this maze of prompts and different representatives like every other large company. We'll dispute the charge and take it up a notch or two until we're satisfied.

Something I need to share that I did not know. I had a busted trunk window. We'll after the Safelite technician replaced the window there was glass still in the hatch of my latch. Needless to say my hatch was not closing. I took it to a jeep repair they vacuum out the glass, but as a result of the glass left in hatch it ruined my latch. I took my concerns to safelite they said they were not responsible. There job is to replace the window. The representative said they don't have the necessary equipment to get glass out of a hatch, but the dealership repair used a vacuum. WHAT! I ENDED HAVING TO PAY 800 TO REPAIR MY LATCH. SO PLEASE USE ANOTHER COMPANY THAT HAS YHE EQUIPMENT TO REMOVE THE GLASS TOO AS WELL AS REPLACING A WINDOW.

Safelite to the rescue again! This is my 3rd glass replacement in 12 months on different cars between mine and the kiddos. This time the landscapers weed eater picked up a rock and shattered the back glass of our 2010 Honda Element. Always a great experience, this time with my work schedule I choose to have a mobile technician come to our home. I was impressed with the ease of ordering a new glass via Safelite’s website and had the amazing technician Cesar Castaneda come to our home to replace it. Cesar followed up with us through-out the morning of his arrival, and explained the process once arriving and cleaned up all the glass in driveway. I highly recommend Cesar in the Columbus, Ohio area. Thank You!

Wow! I am just blown away by how terrible the service is at this location. The information that they give you before you bring your car in is incorrect. We tried to take our car in to get repairs done last week and they sent us away after giving us the wrong information (we have actual text messages from them with this incorrect information). We came back this week following all the instructions they gave us and then found new issues where they decided again they could not help us… we had even paid for a car rental to try to get this fixed this time around. Absolutely terrible service all around. I would avoid this place at all costs.
