Because most insurance companies suck and mine isn’t any different, I arrived at Safelite as their preferred repair shop; only a small fraction of the costs would have been covered had the work been completed at the dealership. To my surprise, Safelite replaced the windshield and recalibrated the vehicle’s camera and safety systems in the allotted time after a small rock chip quickly spread as a crack across the windshield. They did a good job and were extremely professional and courteous. The real reason for this review is that I noticed damage (a crack) to the plastic piece attached to the windshield camera system when I took my car in for a wash after the service was completed. I fully expected and anticipated Safelite to deny having damaged this piece when I stopped by shortly thereafter. JJ, my initial installer, was quick to apologize and stated the reason why it would have been damaged and not been caught upon completion…in full disclosure and being super detail oriented, even I didn’t catch the damage for a full week, as this plastic trim was hidden away behind the rear view mirror. I have been told that Safelite is ordering the part and will replace it shortly. Safelite’s team in Boulder demonstrated integrity, trustworthiness, and care...traits and values often found wanting in today’s larger corporate practices.

I had a small windshield chip. The technician called me that he had arrived. I leave my patient to run down and open my car but he is not there. When he finally shows up to the right place he looks like he just rolled out of bed. I tell him I recently got my windshield replaced. I head back in to take care of my patients. About 20 minutes later I get a call and the technician says he broke my windshield and that they are going to call me to get it replaced. I see that they already scheduled the appointment for the replacement. I also see that it’s going to cost me about $1500 or $500 if I go through my insurance. I speak to a representative who transfers me to the manager Tara who was very rude and condescending! Not only did the technician break my window but now to get insulted and for the person to tell me that they are not responsible for the damages that they caused!! Not such a good outcome. My insurance company works with Safelite / Meaning they agree to the terms set forth by the insurance co. I normally like to use outside vendors who are well versed in Land Rover windscreen installs. I should have trusted my gut instinct. The instal took over 3 hours. I didnt have time to fully inspect the work and even gave the the installer a tip . But.. when I got home I had more time to look over my L322 in detail. ( See pics) I am very disapppointed in my experience with Safelite in Boulder, CO. I did call the Customer service line top file a compaint and inspaction for a follow up claim.. Its alot of damage , especially to the interior pillars on the driver side . Also the cowl was not installed correctly and has a bunch of sealant blocking it from having a tight seal against the windshield. Notice my passenger side seat also has a tear. That was not there before the install. This is one expensive mistake by Safelite.

From start to finish, this was a perfect experience. My insurance company connected me to the lovely operator at Safelite, and she was able to make me an at-home appointment within a couple of days. Jimmy kept in constant contact with me, letting me know exactly when he would arrive. Once at my location, he took complete control. He moved my car to a convenient spot and went to work changing out my windshield. It took him less than 90 minutes! Not only did he replace the front windshield, but Jimmy cleaned all of the windows in my vehicle AND vacuumed the front seat area, and made me aware of a malfunctioning rain gauge on my windshield (from a previous incident). Jimmy was prompt, courteous, friendly and thorough. I cannot thank him (and Safelite) enough for a great job!

My insurance company set me up with Safelite Boulder for an appointment, but I tried to call them and spent a very long time trying to get to a person... but Safelite has designed their automated system to try to avoid letting you speak with a person at all costs. This wasted so much of my time. I called the insurance company to report this and that I can't do business with Safelite since I can't reach a human being and that they should not be recommending this company to customers. Edit 12-23: Their reply is exactly the problem... they clearly don't want you to speak with a person on the phone, they want you to go their website or talk to an AI. I had a very specific need where I needed to speak with a person and a chatbot just isn't going to solve it!! :facepalm:

Was told it was too cold for them to come to me and replace windshield outdoors and had to go to their location. It was 70s and sunny all week and when i went to pick my car up later in the day they had their 2 massive garage doors open letting in all the "cold air". Seems like they just didn't want to travel for the replacement. I had also had my cars interior detailed the day before the installation and even though they claimed they vacuumed the car afterwards, it was covered in dust on the dash, screen, and seats. Along with this, they also claimed they washed the cars exterior windows which did not happen. With this all said, they send you a review afterwards and ask you to rate them a 9 or 10, pretty ballsy in my opinion.

Boulder Colorado Store. I brought in a Truck that I had just got out of the detail shop only to get it back full of mud on the rear as if the tech had backed into a field. It was parked in the isle between the building and parked cars so I only had access to to the front door. I went on a 250 mile round trip and was back home in the dark so I didn’t see the mud mess until the following afternoon. Today while washing the truck I found “black” adhesive on the door handles and passenger side door edge, it comes off but only with work. The windshield install itself appears to be good however care should be taken with customer vehicles.

This was my second time going through insurance for a windshield replacement here, and both times these guys took care of my vehicle. They reinstalled all the things on my windshield including my dashcam which they didn’t have to do. I believe Simon was my installer. If that was you that reattached my camera after replacement, I gotta say thank you. That thing is actually tightened and fits snug to the glass now. I was constantly having it fall off because I didn’t know how to actually tighten it 😆 Thank you for the attention to detail, it really made my day.ServicesAuto windshield repair

Terrible experience. Booked a windshield replacement online- when I got there they told me I wasn't in their system. Left, booked another appointment online WITH AN AGENT for later the same day. When I got there the same receptionist was very rude and told me they didn't have the glass in stock and I would have to make a new appointment. I had to then make a third trip back to finally get the replacement. The actual replacement was fine, but the overall service was extremely disappointing. Absolutely will not be going back here.

I had an incredible experience with this shop and the store owner, Mike, who not only took care of my repair, but went above and beyond and took care of this situation and gave me a very fair price for the damage when I was having a difficult time. The technician that came out to ultimately handle, my situation, was professional and courteous and kind. I called into corporate to give them compliments! I highly recommend the shop! You’re in great hands here!
