Previously I used Safelite to repair my windshield because that's who my insurance company recommended (and paid for). Since they were no longer covering it, I went with Boulder Auto Glass and I'm so glad I did. Itay responded to my quote request (via the web form) immediately on a Sunday nonetheless. The quote from BAG came in over $100 lower than Safelite. I mentioned this and he said that it's not unusual for Safelite to start high and negotiate lower which is exactly the kind of antics I would hope to avoid by going with a large company. Getting a good vibe from Itay and wishing to support local, I decided to go with them. I offered to pay at dropoff but Itay insisted that I wait to make sure I was satisfied before paying. When I picked up the car, Itay walked me through what he did and also pointed out where Safelite had messed things up previously. He even washed the car for me. I can't recommend Itay and Boulder Auto Glass highly enough. He did incredible work for a reasonable price. And after seeing the botched job that Safelite did on a previous install, I will never use them again.

Fast, quality, and affordable - this is the place to get your chips repaired! We have used Boulder Chip repair on two different vehicles and have been so impressed with the results. Most recently, we showed up with a large crack (about 5"?), and Itay did his magic, leaving only the faintest of marks to stop the crack from progressing at either end. The first time we called and made an appointment, but this time we just stopped in because we were in the neighborhood, and he fit us in. We can't recommend this service highly enough.

TL;DR - They treated me like a family member when I was in a pinch and I'll always appreciate that. Would recommend calling them first. My car was broken into last night at the gym in Lafayette. I stopped by Safelite in the morning and then called about ten shops to try and source a window before this weekends storms (rain and 40-100mph winds expected). Nobody could find one until next sometime week at the absolute soonest. Toyota themselves only had two available in the country (California). There wasn't a junk yard in town with a used part available either. Glass was available online and through amazon, but couldn't arrive for a few weeks. Delta was able to find one in south Denver and shifted their schedule around to go all the way down and back to Boulder in time to have it fixed the same day. No other shop could find this option nor would they even offer to go that extra mile. Demonstrated a lot of professionalism and care to drive across the city and do that for a complete stranger.

small fender bender, had to take it in here for body work. had some car issues before i had to take it into our regular mechanic stuff, mountain auto. car gave out on me while driving and had to tow it there. one $600 repair later and it was ready to go just in time before i took it in for the collision repairs! only took like 4-5 days i believe. picked it up and they actually cleaned inside my dirty car! that was really appreciated. but my car didn’t start! i figured the problem i just paid for prior at mountain auto wasn’t the actual issue. the front office lady gave my girlfriend some sass when she mentioned that our car didn’t start while i opened up the hood of my car outside. she jumped to conclusions and tried to blame it on us since we picked it a day later i’m guessing. whatever. but some other guy came out and started poking around the engine seeing what he could do to help. then the manager (i think) came out and he was crawling under the vehicle and looking around hardcore. very high energy dude. managed to narrow down a diagnosis of what he believes was wrong in like a half hour vs mountain auto taking an ungodly amount of time for an expensive and unnecessary battery replacement. yikes. staff was with us for probably like 2-3 hours helping out and laid out a bunch of options. front desk lady? kinda crabby. just wanted some help, we weren’t making any accusations. don’t jump to conclusions goof ball! other dude in the office next door and manager/mechanic guy? stellar. 10/10. super helpful. if some ding dong hits me again i know where i’m getting my repairs done. thanks fellas.ServicesBody & Trim, Auto engine diagnostic, General repairs & maintenance

This company is great! Called for a quote and the receptionist (don’t remember her name) was so friendly and very helpful, she took my name and info to hold the quote in their system for me. I called around a few other places and everywhere else was more expensive and booked out for a month! I called back the next day and they were able to schedule me in 2 days later. These guys offer FREE MOBILE SERVICE!!! That was the cherry on top! Day of service I got a call from the tech 15 mins before arriving. He was friendly! And SO QUICK! I think it took him maybe 20 mins to finish, I couldn’t believe it. Again, the other places I called said it would take a couple hours! Overall great company! Because most insurance companies suck and mine isn’t any different, I arrived at Safelite as their preferred repair shop; only a small fraction of the costs would have been covered had the work been completed at the dealership. To my surprise, Safelite replaced the windshield and recalibrated the vehicle’s camera and safety systems in the allotted time after a small rock chip quickly spread as a crack across the windshield. They did a good job and were extremely professional and courteous. The real reason for this review is that I noticed damage (a crack) to the plastic piece attached to the windshield camera system when I took my car in for a wash after the service was completed. I fully expected and anticipated Safelite to deny having damaged this piece when I stopped by shortly thereafter. JJ, my initial installer, was quick to apologize and stated the reason why it would have been damaged and not been caught upon completion…in full disclosure and being super detail oriented, even I didn’t catch the damage for a full week, as this plastic trim was hidden away behind the rear view mirror. I have been told that Safelite is ordering the part and will replace it shortly. Safelite’s team in Boulder demonstrated integrity, trustworthiness, and care...traits and values often found wanting in today’s larger corporate practices.
