Safelite AutoGlass

I've used this location a few times in the past and there has never been a problem. This time, that's not the case. I have a 2025 Hyundai Palisade (Calligraphy trim) that took a pretty good sized rock in the windshield during a recent trip. From the time I contacted Safelite until the day the installation was completed took about a month. I don't really fault them for this..... if you can't get the part, you can't get the part. Not much anyone can do but wait. The other issues with their service..... well, they had 100% control over and it wasn't great. Like many vehicles nowadays, the Palisade Calligraphy has forward cameras and radar built into a housing at the top of the windshield which require calibration when the glass is replaced. The calibration was fine, but pieces of the camera and radar housing simply fell off while I was driving the vehicle 2 weeks later. The rear view mirror was also VERY loose. Finally, my car has a dealer installed dash cam mounted to the windshield. Safelite tried to re-mount the dash cam, but the adhesive they used was horrible and the camera eventually fell off. Plus, after they, "mounted" the dash cam, they never plugged it back in. I had to take it back to the dealership to have the dash cam mounted (and plugged in), the mirror tightened, and the camera/radar housing plastics re-attached - for $230. Finally, whatever they cleaned the glass with left a cloudy haze that became VERY apparent when driving into sunlight. Overall, I was VERY disappointed with the quality of the job performed. About the only thing they did right was mount the windshield. I have a custom truck and I take care of her, like she is one of my children. I purchase the best for her and wanted to replace the front window due to rock chips and cracks over this past year. I went ahead and opt to replace the window wipers as well as the front windshield. Now, there was nothing wrong with my wipers. I just replaced them about 8 months ago and paid almost 100 bucks for them. The wipers safelite uses are very cheap and streak making it hard to see when the rain is misting. This product is poor so I removed a star just for that reason. Now for the window, the glass is clear.... the install only took about a hour. The bad, the installer broke all the tabs to my cowl and now I have to replace that part as well. The installer informed me to purchase the new part and he will install it, thats nice to offer but i will be handling this myself. The cowl comes off very easy if you open the hood and press the tabs to release the panel. The installer pryed the cowl up from the window side, snapping the tabs and never opening the hood. You can tell this happened by the rubber window seal in the pictures attached. Yes, I am 100 percent car guy and BS excuse don't work on me. I will not be taking any of my cars back to this branch and will never purchase the wiper blades. Staff was friendly and I paid cash, not insurance claim.

They pretty much have a monopoly in the Dallas area. I had to wait almost two weeks for my appointment, which was for a Monday, between 8-12. After having to confirm my appointment and availability the day before, when I called them at 10:30AM to obtain an update on estimated arrival, I was shocked to learn they did not have my windshield in stock and it was expected later that day around 3PM and they would have to reschedule to Wednesday or Thursday.. so I had to reshuffle my schedule again, last minute to try and accommodate them. The installation and service when the actually arrived was professional and admittedly outstanding. Safelite was recommended from some friends to replace my front windshield. You can choose replacement, repair if appropriate, pay using insurance or out of pocket, and I was able to get the total cost and pay online, schedule an appointment, and they even came to my house to make the replacement. My technician Courtney called ahead of time to keep me informed of when he would arrive, he was very respectful and did great work on my replacement, finishing quickly, and even called me when he was finished, as I work from home remotely and went back to work while he made the replacement. It is raining today and there haven’t been any leaks or build up on my windshield. I was very pleased with the whole process from start to finish.

I had a good experience. I set an appointment for drop off at 9:30am and my vehicle was ready for pickup at 4:30pm same day. I’ve had no issues since then. The only thing that could’ve been better is if my. Car was available sooner however I understand they are/were busy. I just wouldn’t expect it yo have taken so long to the point where I almost thought I wasn’t going to get my car back the same day. I called the office around 4:15pm to check in since I hadn’t heard anything and was told that they do not leave until the last car is completed. My car is new with it less than 2,000 miles & I was really nervous about it getting scratched or damaged during the windshield replacement. It had to be perfect so I scheduled the dealership to do the work then changed my mind realizing that they probably don’t do too many replacements & that’s all that "Safelite" does. I’m so glad I went with them! Aaron the master tech, was wonderful! Very personable & patient & showed me exactly how that fancy glass-lift worked etc. He’d done hundreds of installations & knew his stuff! He got it installed & calibrated the new technology (saved me a trip to the dealership.) and it’s like it was never replaced! I’d definitely recommend them & use them again!

One thing that really stood out was how well the entire team in the back worked together — you could see everyone communicating and helping each other, which made the whole process fast and efficient. They calibrated my cameras, transferred my registration and toll tag, and even cleaned the glass when they finished. Absolutely the WORST customer service! When I called Katey only argued with me and my husband and had an absolutely nasty attitude. We will not be returning for our other cars like we previously planned solely on her attitude when I called to address an issue. She wouldn’t listen and insisted there is absolutely no way the problem I was physically looking at is wrong and was already like that when I brought the car in. If she hates her job so much she really needs to leave because it’s obvious she does not like dealing with the public. We will gladly take our business over to Texan Glass.

Unfortunately driving hazards include busted windshields. Fortunately, Safelite was able to replace our windshield within a week, calibrate the sensors and put us back in a comfortable (and trustworthy) driving situation. USAA managed our repair request, all we had to do was show up and wait for the replacement to be done. We have used this particular location at least 3 times because we like the service and quality of repairs. Thank you! I highly recommend this location and Safelite as a company.

Courtney was the best! He was clear and told me the whole process and how long it would take. I was able to do business away from him while he replaced my windshield and was done in an hour and a half! He kept me updated on the progress! He arrived at the perfect time during the 4 hour time window I got when I called to reserve the service.
