Taylor Auto Glass

I wanted to share a fair review. I’d like to first thank Jennifer for making things right and for having good communication. The other hired help at the front desk does her job but isn’t the nicest/friendliest person, as mentioned in other reviews. The problem areas after receiving my car back were paint being razor bladed across the top of my windshield area (to remove prior adhesive) and the two cowl seals/covers being broken and not held down with new 3M (level 4) tape. When I reached out they sent me to a place to have the paint touched up and had Mike (Mike is the amazing mobile guy) come out to replace the cowl covers with new ones. If you have your windshield replaced by them at the shop, please keep an eye out for the small details. Mike, in my opinion, is the best guy there. He is their mobile guy and doesn’t work at the shop typically. They will make things right if you reach out to them. I only gave 4/5 stars due to being handed my car back with these issues and not being told about them. Having to find things wrong with your car on your own and not being told about them definitely was not a good decision. I understand human error and would have allowed them to make things right with a 5 star review, if they had been up front with me. Other than that, the windshield itself was installed properly (no air or water leaks). They just rush a lot at the shop so small details are missed. I waited a week after the repairs were made to write this review to include before and after photos.

Receptionist that picked up the phone was very rude and snappy decided to schedule an appointment anyway because I was looking for urgent service. The side mirror was fully attached only the mirror was off. Now on the phone I told her, the receptionist, the motor was exposed and she seemed to ok it, I understand she may not work with repairs etc. Once there I was told I had a back piece missing, which is understandable and would have to wait until Monday. The combination of the rude receptionist and driving 15 minutes to be told I wouldn’t be serviced, was all I needed to not want to spend my money there or do business with them. On the phone she initially scheduled me for a Saturday (I was looking for something much quicker) they are closed on Saturdays she called me back and said she thought it was a Thursday, which could have been a honest mistake. Being closed on weekends is mostly normal, but I found another place that had way better customer service to fix my vehicle on a Saturday. It’s very frustrating as a customer when you are spending money with a business to deal with sarcastic employees. I see many 4-5 stars reviews but that wasn’t my experience today.

I contacted Taylor Auto Glass to have a sliding rear windshield installed on my 2015 Ram 1500. The owners Tony and Jennifer provided me with a detailed written estimate and arranged for an appointment within just one day. During installation, they did not like the quality of the aftermarket windshield. When they could not reach me by phone, they upgraded the rear window to a factory, original equipment part which fit perfectly and looked great. I offered to pay them for the difference in the cost between the aftermarket and factory glass but they politely declined and stood by their estimate. I have operated my own small business here in Greensboro for many years and the people at Taylor Glass (owners and employees) treated me the way I treat my own Clients. This company impressed me with their attention to detail and quality customer service. I contacted Taylor Auto Glass through their website. I got an almost immediate response from Kaitlin and within ten minutes and a couple of questions being answered I was given a very reasonable quote and we set up an appointment for just a couple of days later. Devin and Justin called to let me know they were on their way on the day of the appointment, got here just when they were supposed to, and immediately went to work. They were both polite and professional and did a great job on replacing our windshield. From the time I contacted Taylor Auto Glass through their website and set up the appointment with Kaitlin until Devin and Justin left everything went perfectly. I hope I don't get another broken windshield anytime soon but if I do I know exactly who to contact. Had the pleasure of doing business with Taylor auto glass today. I say pleasure because as the techs were installing my windshield my heater hose blew and proceeded to dump my coolant onto the pavement. The owner was there and quickly got on line to the local freightliner dealership down the street. They had the parts I needed so the owner loaded me up in his personal vehicle and drove me to get my parts. Then he helped me fix the truck once we were back.thats what I call going above and beyond anything I could have expected. I will only use this company from now on. FYI... Taylors Auto Glass was recommend by the dealership that I purchased my vehicle from. I read reviews and proceeded to call for a quote on my 2015 GMC. They were half the price of Safelite and they are a local business. I happily canceled my appointment with Safelite and booked with Taylor’s. The work they did was very professional, office staff as well as technicians were very courteous and knowledgeable. They stand behind their work with a lifetime warranty. Can not say enough about this company, they are very reasonably priced and do great work. Customer service determines if I do business with you. This family company is amazing! Before the appointment was even made, their consistent response time to my questions via email and text were amazing. Most of the time responses were under a half hour. Kaitlyn, the point of contact, is professional, knowledgeable and friendly. This made dealing with insurance and the whole experience seem effortless. No worries about waiting for your work to be done, the customer wait room is spacious and comfortable with 2 large clean leather couches. So if you are in the Greensboro/ Triad area of North Carolina and need any glass work done, these people earn every bit of 5 star rating.

I had to have my windshield installed quickly. They worked me in and came that afternoon. The guys installing the windshield were nice, friendly, and explained the whats and whys. Unfortunately I came up with another leak. So I went to their business to see what was happening. It was something else contributing to the leak which they explained and showed me what the problem could be coming from. Leaves built up and such. The girls in the office were so nice. Best customer service I highly recommend this place. You don’t see many mechanic shops that cares about customer service around triad. The receptionist Jennifer She was very nice and friendly also knowledgeable on windshields. She said off market windshield will look exactly like the OEM Windshield glass Honda sells and it does! Devin and Justin did a great job on replacing my windshield. They were personable and professional. From start to finish, the job was completed in a little under an hour. They came to my residence, so I was able to enjoy the comfort of my own home instead of sitting in a lobby of a garage. Very convenient. In my case, they were able to beat the price of companies such as Safelite, and also have a lifetime warranty. I would recommend Taylor’s Auto Glass to my friends and family.
