I had my windshield replaced on my Honda Civic and drove home, parked in my drive way and the next morning there was a 3 inch crack in the lower corner. You cannot contact the shop directly so you have to go through the automated service and file a claim. When I was finally able to reach a real person they simply read off a script telling me to schedule a warranty claim. I finally got them to connect me to the actual shop I had the work done at and they read me the same script word for word. They also told me I couldn’t have anything done to it for a week so the glue could dry. In the weeks time the crack grew and is now 12 inches. When I was finally able to take it in they told me it was an impact (they looked at it for about 2 seconds) and they couldn’t do anything for me. The manager was conveniently not there but my first interaction with her (Jeanine Stevens) during the initial appointment was poor. I have seen a few other reviews saying she was rude and unprofessional and I would agree. Now I have to pay someone else to replace my windshield. Poor and unhelpful customer service. You can tell they (safelite) just don’t care about their customers.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

Gave one star because the tech who actually worked on my car (who was from the Manhattan location not the Topeka one) did a good job. Otherwise this would have been a zero. It was my second horrible experience with this shop. Both times only went there because that was the “preferred shop” for my insurance carrier. Had an appointment FIRST thing in the AM after open and I took the car to them. Not mobile service. It didn’t get touched until after closing hour the day of my appointment. Had to actually go back next day to get it. No one called to say we’re running late, why, or anything. Discovered all this by just showing back up at shop 10 minutes before close after two failed attempts to contact shop directly in the late afternoon that instead took me to national appointment center that couldn’t tell me anything. I strongly suggest you find another local place like Binswinger Glass or similar for work. Don’t waste your time with these guys.

Let me start with, my scheduling of my first appointment went smoothly, but then it quickly turned downhill from there. I have now returned 2 additional times and they have been unable to recalibrate my front windshield. They keep telling me that the system gateway is down and they are waiting on an email to see when it is back up. I've called multiple times only to be put on the phone with automated messaging. Today, I finally go a hold of someone and they literally hung up on me! They also do not have a solution to get this resolved and say, well if it takes months, then I guess it takes months to resolve.. Just a waiting game! Excuse me.. but the security features are not working as optimized because they are not recalibrated. Also, talking to the main customerservice center, they said they hadn't heard of this issue before. This has just been a very frustrating experience.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism

Let me preface this by stating that the service technician was great. That was the only positive part of my experience. Safelite was the only glass repair service offered by my insurance. I was lied to by the woman at the desk multiple times. I dropped my car off at 8:30am for a windshield replacement and was told it oily be done early. I tried calling for an hour, but your customer service is dismal. I can’t call the local branch. Instead, I was routed to a call center that never answered. My husband and I both tried calling in and sat on hold. We wasted an hour. When I arrived at 3:30, my car hadn’t been touched. My husband had to leave work early to help get our kids to all the activities because my car wasn’t ready until after 5. Additionally, the woman said she would waive the wiper blade fee for my inconvenience… Only she didn’t. And the serviceman had to remove it after I pointed it out.

I arrived 30 minutes early. They got right on it. I was told over the phone, when I scheduled my appointment, that it would be 1 or 2 hours to complete. It took over 3. Having no one to pick me up I had to wait. After they were finished I inspected the work. They didn’t take my oil change sticker nor my till tag sticker and put back on new windshield. I went back in and reported it. The man that checked me in originally got right on it. I think it should have been taken care of before! Also there was pieces of rubber all over the dash and the middle console of my car. I would have thought that for the money I was charged that their mess would have been cleaned up by them. Unfortunately I didn’t discover the mess left behind until I had already left.

Had appointment set they came out and said your vehicle is getting direct sunlight the chip repair would probably crack so I tried to reschedule with tech he couldn't reschedule appointment and manager was out for the so I rescheduled with my insurance company. Time was set between 8am to noon so I get a text from the tech be your way between 9am to 930 am. So I wait nothing no call no text so I send a follow up text are you still planning on the repair nothing no reply try to call the shop nothing now pass the appointment time and still nothing from the tech or shop. What a waste of time

I recently had my windshield replaced by Safelite. My service tech Kenneth did an outstanding job on the replacement job. He called ahead of time to let me know when he would arrived. He arrived on time and was very polite and professional. He did an outstanding job and was very diligent in his duties. He communicated the information and instructions to me and explained what I needed to do to ensure complete satisfaction with the new windshield. Very happy and appreciative for his assistance in this matter. Great job.

Great tech great speedy service. Riley was great informative and knew his job.. He had no problem answering my questions as he worked and went above and beyond to make sure any and all glass remnants were vacuumed up inside the door and interior of the vehicle he also seeped my garage floor in my garage and made sure everything was cleaned up and proper before leaving.. Thank you Riley I appreciate you! Tell your scheduler I also appreciate her help.. Great service all around!

The staff at the Topeka Safelite are very knowledgeable and friendly. I set my appointment online... someone from Safelite contacted me within 24hrs. They helped me determine if I needed repair or replacement and even set up a 3 way call with my insurance to get approval. When my original replacement windshield came to the shop with a small chip they called me right away so they could re-schedule... rather than wait for me to come to my original appointment and tell me then.
