My 14 year old windshield, original to my car, was heavily pitted, chipped, dinged, scratched ... and had two long cracks starting to spread into the driver's view area due to the icy temperatures over the past few weeks. Driving I-5 had done a number on it from uncovered dump-trucks hauling debris and rock chips kicked up by other vehicles. It was more than time to have it replaced! I visited my insurance company's claim website and easily scheduled an appointment with their recommended shop, Safelite. Check in was smooth and easy too. The staff was kind, personable, efficient, and informative about the process. I know that Safelite can send a mobile unit to you to do the repairs, but I had the day off, so opted to come to them. The shop was sparkling clean, with comfortable chairs, and entertaining magazines in the waiting room. Another plus, although I didn't have any, free refrigerated bottled water and individual snacks were available for guests. At checkout, a technician walked with me to my car parked right out front to show me my new windshield and explain its 'care and feeding'. Easy stuff, like don't run it through a car wash for a few days.... My car had been cleaned, inside was nicely vacuumed, the dash dust wiped off. The care Safelite gave me as a customer and their service was (is) above and beyond. My warranty and receipt arrived in my email right away. My new windshield is crystal clear and truly a thing of beauty. I can't believe what a nice change it is to have an unobstructed view! I also opted for the new wiper blades when Safelite installed the windshield in order to keep the new shield clear and lovely.

The whole process was extremely easy, from booking the appointment online, to getting the windshield replaced. The prices were very competitive and affordable. There were next-day appointments available, I made the appointment online, I was informed of the time frame when the technician would arrive, I was sent text messages informing me of his arrival time, and he was quick and proficient with his work as well as courteous. I am very happy I chose to go with their services!

I have had at least 4 experiences with the local (Olympia, WA) Safelite Office/Garage location and Safelite Mobile Service (where they come to you) over the past decade. Two of them were for rock chip repairs, and two of them were for full windshield replacements. Whether the experience was from a few years ago, or from most recently (a few days ago), the Safelite employees/service techs have consistently been friendly, helpful and professional. Also, most recently, the Mobile Safelite Service Tech did a good job of continuously updating me about their estimated arrival time (through using the phone service), for my original (mobile) home address service location and time.

Shopped around town (Olympia, WA area) and used an online promo code. Even without the promo they had the best price. Convenient location and times. Friendly people and great tips on 1st few days of having a new windshield. Surprise "Recycling Fee" that other companies did not point out - but still best price around. Did all pricing and service setup via their website. Did not go for up sells (wipers and coatings) - that seemed pretty gimmicky. Done in under an hour, but I let it sit there for a few.

I went to this Safelite location for the first time on June 3rd to get the windshield on my car replaced. I had to take in again on June 11th because the cover for the front view camera fell off after one of the mounting clips that attach it to the windshield came unglued. I had to take my car in for a third time June 24th for the same problem. This time the cover came off about an hour after I got my car back. I had a 4th appointment set for July 7th but Safelite canceled it because they were going to have install an OEM windshield (this will be the 3rd one) and they said they would call me when they got authorization to get that OEM windshield. It's now July 15th and I haven't gotten a call back to get the new windshield replaced. I'm tired of fixes that don't work, I'm tired of excuses and I'm even more tired of waiting for the local Safelite to get authorization to this to get fixed. Had I known what a mess this was going to be I would have gone to another company to fix my windshield.

I had a really frustrating experience. I booked and paid for my appointment online in full. My appointment, originally scheduled for Tuesday, was moved to Saturday just a couple of hours before. When I arrived on Saturday, I was told I needed to pay an additional $100 that wasn't mentioned during the online booking. I asked to speak with the manager, but was told they were out for the weekend and would call me on Monday. It's been two weeks, and I still haven't received a call. I'm very disappointed with the lack of communication and the unexpected charge.
