Discount Auto Glass

I've used DAG for years but this is my first time since they've moved. The price for my Tundra windshield was $225 which is excellent! The work was pretty sad. For one, they pulled my truck around front with the driver door weatherstrip hanging out the bottom side. I think OK the guy just bumped it with his shoes on his way out of my truck. Then inside I noticed they somehow knocked out the passenger door window panel. That's odd since it's not in their at all. What else did they mess up? So I popped all that stuff back together, not a big deal I'm not hanging around to complain about stuff I can fix in 10 seconds. Well a few weeks later and I've gotten my first rock chip, hooray! So I'm looking at this rock chip I need to fill and I notice more lousy work. The lower cowl (side) seals were apparently ripped out upon removal of my old glass and I guess they threw those away? Also the cowl panel at the base of the windshield had the screws ripped out on the passenger side but they were laying there loose so I (sort of) got them reinstalled. THEN I see the side moulding of my windshield is now missing the rubber portion that presses against the glass and the rest of the moulding is barely in place anymore. On top of all this crap I see just how lousy the weatherstripping is around the new glass. It's flimsy, it doesn't lie flat at the top corners and I'm shocked it doesn't leak rainwater. It's clear they ripped this glass out as fast as possible with no regard for trim, moulding, weatherstripping, you know....all the things a professional glass shop should be familiar with. If you don't like your car, take it to these people. If you have a Toyota or any other vehicle that has a little extra trim or rubber molding on either sides of the windshield, these guys will rip that stuff out too and whatever isn't ripped out will lay their loosely until it flies off. After all this I'd say they could've at least wiped all the old sealant and dust off of my dashboard and center console but they couldn't even be bothered to do that.

I called needing 5 windshields replaced at the dealership where I work. I have used them in the past, and I got a good quote, so I had them come out and do the work. The first issue was noticed when we took the tape off the windshield of a Ford F-150 a few days later. The windshield was cracked. I called, and the woman said she would ask the tech about it. He said yes, it broke during installation. They would come out and replace it. Why did he not come in and tell us about it when it happened? Did he think we wouldn't notice? Seems sketchy, right? The next issue that was found was the missing rear view mirror from another vehicle. I called again. She put me on hold and spoke to the tech. He said he took the mirror back to the shop because he was out of glue. Again, sketchy. I was told I could come to the shop and pick it up. Well, that wasn't the deal. I didn't take the mirror over there, and I didn't have the time to go pick it up. Besides that, why would he even take the mirror with him? Why would he not bother to mention it? Why did he not bring it back? I called the office several more times over 3 weeks, asking them to bring the mirror back. Each time I called, I was told it would be there in the morning. Finally, I got the mirror back after telling them I would go to Volkswagen and buy one and send them an invoice. I believe there was no intention of letting us know about the windshield cracking or the missing mirror either. I have sent a lot of business to them in the past, including friends, family, customers, and business associates. I don't forsee using them or sending anyone else to them in the future. My time and the frustration I could have avoided by using a different company is worth way more than the few bucks I saved.

I called this place a week and a half in advance to set an appointment to have my windshield replaced and a side vent window installed that I had to order because they could not get it. The day before my appointment I call to confirm that my appointment is still on and we are good to go. I was told by the older Hispanic lady at the front desk,” YES! Then told the price. So I take the day of from work, losing almost $300.00 in pay, to be on time and available for my pre-scheduled and VERIFIED appointment. Only to be told they don’t have the windshield yet. It’s still on its way. This is a very unprofessional and disorganized group of individuals. Unless you want to be lied to, only for them to try an keep your business, I suggest using someone else. This is why going local always seems to leave a bad taste in my mouth. Today is November 21st,I called yesterday and spoke to Jerry,I knew that I was giving them my business before he gave me a quote,his personality over the phone had me sold!!!,but when I finally got my quote it was definitely a go!!!!!...I called about 6 other places before I called discount auto glass and no one could beat their prices!!!!...Came in this morning to get my windshield fixed that's when I met Susan,Jerry's wife,these people have the brightest smiles and the warmest hearts!!, made me feel as if I've made some new friends for life,Susan,you should teach a seminar on hospitality and customer service you guys definitely have it!!....I hate I can't remember the guy name at the front desk but he was great as well,the fastest service I've ever endured,I would definitely recommend this business to anyone,you guys are truly heaven sent!!!! Today while driving down the dreaded right lane of Poplar, my side view mirror met an untimely fate when it collided at 45 mph with someone’s trash can that was parked too close to the curb. Said side view mirror came slamming into my passenger side window and completely obliterated it sending glass flying through the entire front of my car. Discount Auto Glass was able to order the appropriate window for my vehicle, replaced it same day, and vacuumed up the huge mess for a heck of a deal! The staff was extremely friendly and courteous and my window was replaced in less than an hour. I will continue to give them my business in the future and will recommend them to everyone.

Woke up one morning and went to get in my car, as I closed the door my entire back window cracked and began to break. I called many places to repair it at a decent price and ASAP. One place did all that and it’s this one. Called back when they said they would and got me in on the same day. Talking with another customer for a while and my car is already done. Super fast. It rained the next day and not a leak. They damaged my transmission while moving my vehicle and I had to be towed away. As the tow driver arrived he witnessed an employee moving a customers car, back into another customers car. When I went inside to tell the other customers what happened to their cars, they tried running me off and telling me they would call the police if I didn't leave and that I was not allowed to talk to the other customers. They same guy who moved my truck was the same guy who rear ended those two customers cars. It was a big ordeal and I now have a claim with my insurance against the company. DO NOT GO HERE!

These people were amazing! Someone broke out my back window around 10 pm last night and I texted them late around 12 just giving them a heads up and literally they responded back within 2 mins and took care of me the next morning! They were so nice and kept saying how sorry they were that this has happened to me and you can’t beat the price!! I didn’t expect them to respond that night since it was so late but they did! Amazing people and great prices! Couldn’t have asked for better people!! Thank you soooo much for all of y’all help!! They forever have my business!!

I am a new international student at Memphis. Unfortunately, I had to replace my car windshield. But I was fortunate enough to have met Susan at the store. I had to rush to the airport and asked Susan if she can help. She tried her best, but could not schedule it that day. But she offered a great discount if I could come next week. And I go there today, all work done in 15 minutes, The price was unbelievable! Way to go! I will never go anywhere for glass other than Discount glass. U bet I will get you more of my friends! Had my hood come open and hit my windshield. I called and expected to be told it would take a week or something to get it replaced, but they had one in stock! I arrived and they got right on it. They had me finished up in about 45 minutes and there were other people there that had their door windows done just as quickly. The price was very reasonable! I have used them before a year ago to come out and replace someone else's screw up *cough* Auto Glass Now *cough*. They had me done in about 30-45 minutes back then too.
