My dude, Ali, was so helpful. My appointment for a home visit was affected by the rain, so Ali offered for us to come even earlier and open the shop just for us and repair it sheltered from the rain. The lobby was spotless because it was just being cleaned by a hardworking family of cleaners. The vending machine options was bangin', son! So happy with my service and quickness and heads up Ali was to make sure we were taken care of for my windshield replacement. Thanks, Ali! 10/10 recommend.

Have been to this location twice in the last two years. Had a windshield replaced and just recently had a chip repaired. Arrived early for my appointment and was taken right in. Justin was the technician who worked on my car. He quickly repaired the windshield. Returned my car with a repair that was better than I ever expected. Everyone was very professional. The only improvement suggestion I would offer is the automated phone system. It was annoying. Thanks again.

I have a 2023 Tacoma TRD Off-road and took it in December last year to have the windshield replaced due to a rock hitting it. Safelite replaced the windshield and the next day there was a water leak all over the center console and dashboard. I made another appointment to have it replaced and asked for a OEM windshield to be used. Safelite replaced it again. The next day I was checking the work and found scratches on the pillar down to the primer as well as scratches on the fender. I made an appointment again to go back to the North Charleston shop about the damage. The manager Cory Quirk assessed the damage and said they would fix the pillar damage with a mobile painter and said the damage on the fender could be caused by a rock. Cory only admitted the damage after I had to come back to the shop a third time. The pillar damage and the fender scratches are on the same side. My vehicle was immaculate before safelite touched it. The fender scratches are consistent with someone leaning over and doing work on the truck. So I decided to call my insurance which connected me with safelite claims. I dealt with lady who said she would be my contact through this process. So I explained what happened and the fender damage. Safelite agreed there was damage caused by them to the pillar but not the fender. So the lady said my case would now be taken over by fleet services which is a third party affiliate who handles all the claims. I then had to explain again what happened. So fleet agreed to review the fender damage and their conclusion was that safelite was not responsible. I had them review it with a supervisor and nothing changed. I would personally not recommend the North Charleston safelite shop at 4975 Dorchester Road. It’s sad and disheartening that you can’t trust people to return your property the way you gave it to them. The manager Cory is also dishonest for knowingly not admitting to damage her tech caused. The workmanship at this ship is terrible. The tech got black epoxy all over my truck. It seems they don’t have integrity in the product they put out. This has been an awful experience with safelite. I will never use safelite again and recommend people find a reputable glass shop not named safelite.

I made an appointment to have my windshield replaced and a calibration completed through my insurance. OEM glass was requested when I made the appointment because it is a known issue for the HUD system and calibration to fail on my car's model without it. They had PLENTY of time to order it. Safelite decided to replace it with aftermarket glass without discussing it with me despite the need for OEM glass. Of course it failed calibration and my HUD system was so out of wack I had to turn it off. It looked like everything was rotated 45 degrees away from me and blurry. No matter what settings I tried it was rotated and out of focus. They said they would order the OEM glass and call to schedule. I return to the store to have the OEM glass put in and was told my car's calibration failed again. The technician wanted to use another piece of equipment but it was out in the field and wouldn't return before store closure. I live 45 minutes away and was upset at having to return a third time to get this right. The technician discussed that they could possibly pick my car up, perform the service and return it. I was told that a manager would contact me on Monday (my appointment was on Saturday). Monday came and went and no contact from the store and to make matters worse there really isn't a local number that you can call to speak to the front desk, the posted number online goes to a corporate number that is answered by a call center. Luckily for me even though I was told my calibration failed everything works fine now that I have OEM glass. They somehow turned everything off and once I turned it all back on it works perfectly with no issues so I have no idea why I was told it failed a second time and needed to return a third time. I will NOT return. They tried to cheap out with aftermarket glass despite me requesting OEM glass which wasted my time and theirs for a second appointment. I definitely was not planning on trusting anyone to drive my car from Meggett to North Charleston and back when they couldn't just order the correct glass in the first place.

I walked out of my house yesterday morning to find that a thief had busted the passenger window out of my truck and stolen several items from inside. While waiting (3 hours) for NCPD to arrive, I went ahead and made an appointment with Safelite to have it replaced. My insurance company was a pain, the cops were a pain, the thief was definitely a pain. The ONLY bright spot in all of it was Cory and her crew at Safelite. 24 hrs after finding my window was busted, I was at their shop getting it replaced. I had a meeting I had to get to, and Cory assured me it wouldn't take long. Less than 30 mins after I arrived, they were done. My insurance hadn't even confirmed they'd pay for it - I was prepared to pay, but they assured me they'd get it handled - and if they didn't, only then would I pay. An hour later and I had a confirmation that it was all taken care of. Seamless, extremely efficient - I can't say enough about the level of service they displayed. Thank you. 10/10.

Everyone was very nice. However, driving my vehicle home after a windshield replacement I noticed a nice size scratch on my NEW windshield. Ty, who was on my receipt as the tech, thank you for wasting our time this afternoon and providing us with an extremely stressful experience. This scratch is more bothersome being on my drivers-side than the one I initially came in with that was the cause of the replacement. We were a later appointment so I’m sure they were wrapping up for the night. We would of rather someone said “hey we noticed a scratch on the windshield after we installed. We can’t fix it tonight, but will first thing tomorrow”. We understand things happen. It is the neglect of handing us the car like this that’s upsetting. They had to sit in the drivers seat to pull my car out of the shop so they had to have seen this. It’s very clear from the drivers view.

Excellent service. I scheduled I believe Tuesday night and they were out here Friday afternoon with a window of 1-6. He was here at 1:30 and done by 2. He didn't even have to think while he worked, and waited patiently while I hovered because I'm nosey. Brandon was a great representative and very knowledgeable. He didn't seem to mind the heat either. He was much quicker than the last guy who came out here to replace a windshield. If you go here, absolutely ask for Brandon! If he's not at this location, try the others in the nearby area. Definitely worth the call around. 110% happy with service!PositivePunctuality, Quality, Professionalism, ValueServicesAuto windshield replacement

The shop does not return calls, I have been waiting for a part that the store can’t get ahold of the shop for. I’m put on hold for hours to be told the same run around story, that the store will make this a priority and doesn’t. I have been waiting for a part for weeks. Do better and communicate with your customers. STILL NO RESOLUTION- after filling out the customer service survey, I was on the phone for an hour with customer service representatives- all of them said “we are calling the store and they don’t pick up”. We are still with a broken windshield that has already been touched by Safelite, I will be getting an attorney because this is a safety issue.

Would not recommend had my window replaced last October the tech David shattered my windshield left glass all on the inside of the truck, dropped the sealant on the dash, broke the a piller on the passenger side, driving down the road he did not seal the window correctly water poured on the inside of the truck. Had take my truck to another shop to get the window fixed. Spoke with the manager Corey, had me bring the truck in to fix the dash from the sealant they sanded the dash and painted over it. Also told me that the part was discontinued I sent several used ones and the last one I sent no response. Will not go back unfortunately my loss.

Initial service was great. Easy to book, speedy service, staff was very helpful. However the alignment on my driver assist camera is off. I’ve been trying to speak to someone about it but I’m having two issues. First you can’t call the location to ask a question. You get transferred to Safelite customer service. Second, when you’re transferred you can’t speak to a human. Just get an automated message that no one can help you at this time. Really ruins all the hard work the local service team does when follow up is impossible unless you drive to the service location to speak to someone.
