It's never a good time whenever we have to make a claim to our insurance. Right? Even if they cover it fully, it'll still ding you a lot of times. It's like applying for credit - you don't want to do it if you don't need to. For this instance, I noticed a small (about 1/3 of a #2 pencil eraser). I scheduled an appointment for 11:00am, and they began to work on it around 11:15am. It took about an hour - I got new wipers as well as the rain treatment (RainX). No big deal. But when the employee took me out to show me the work, he did warn me it "didn't look pretty, but it's fixed." The guy was nice, but it did look odd to me that it didn't look "fixed." But if I was an expert, I would have done it myself. This appointment was on a Thursday. The very next day, guess what happened? It cracked to about a 9 inch crack. I couldn't call the place that did the first fix because they were closed and it was then a weekend (I was out of town), so I filled out a request on their site. They never got back to me. Now I needed the windshield completely replaced. What was the point of the first claim on my insurance? What was the point of the RainX? I just found it very disappointing. It's a pain to have to schedule 2-3 hour appointment with kids. When I was able to schedule again the following week, no one followed up with me at all about having two appointments within 4 days. Shouldn't there have been an explanation? Is there a warranty on the first job? Any answers would have been nice, but they didn't care, my insurance will pay for it. That's all they care about - will they get paid? Yes? Then who cares? Another interesting thing is that when they recalibrated my sensors (after the windshield was installed), they drove the truck for a while. That's fine, but they unplugged my Dashcam. Why? It's an easy plug and play so they had absolutely no reason to unplug it. When an employee is in my car, not only do I want the option to see how he drove my vehicle, but I also want evidence if something goes wrong and there is damage to my vehicle! They also don't go over whether or not you'll get an OEM windshield. They claim they put a non-OEM on it if that is approved by my insurance, but it's MY vehicle, not the insurances. I should get the choice. I'd even pay the difference in price if I had had the option. Now I'm stuck with an interior windshield that makes me nervous to have on there. On the other hand, they do have a warranty if it does go bad but don't really want to deal with Safelite again? No. I'd suggest going to MS Glass (not too far away). I've dealt with them before and wish I would have gone there instead to be honest. However, my insurance makes it difficult to go anywhere else other than Safelite, without having to be reimbursed, which is annoying. I'm sure there is some kind of payout Country Financial gets for forcing (recommending) Safelite. Their reviews speak for themselves, really. I hope to not have to deal with this company again - anyone who needs insurancs to recommend them blindly doesn't have the reputation to sustain themselves by their quality of work. Shop around if you can.

Update** Please read the bottom for the update. If I could give this joke of place a negative 100 I would. My first appointment with them I drove out to the Beaverton location and began to wait only to have the technician to come out 40 mins later saying that there was a huge scratch in the new windshield, so they need to get a new windshield to install. So I had to set up an appointment over two weeks later for a tech to come out to my house. So the tech came out to my house installed the new windshield. His name was Simon. And after he left I inspected my vehicle and the interior was left filthy. Not only that he left two black rockstar cans in my grass. And to completely top it off. He scratched my vehicle multiple times and used cover up paint to "hide" the damage! I then called to have someone come out to look and take pictures of the damage. His name was Joshua. The new tech came out and "cleaned" the interior (there are still black marks in the interior) we have yet to get a call back about the damage. So now it's been 8 days and I call and a person in customer service had to read me the notes. According to the notes, they claim that Safelite did not make the damages that have the cover up paint. I have proof and now we are hiring a lawyer. Please whatever you DO NOT come to this company! Update: After speaking with the store manager again, they had to further investigate the matter. After that, a week later, I got a call from an insurance company saying that Safelite filed a claim. Safelite never called me to say sorry or take responsibility they just directly filed a claim. Im thankful they at least did that, but im still very disappointed that I didnt get call with an apology. So the insurance company directed me to a shop and the shop quoted my van roughly a week and half later. After getting a quote it got approved but they were scheduled 2 months out. My van is still damaged but we are close to getting if fixed finally. So it's now 11/5 and my van was damaged in July....

We first took our 2022 Honda Civic to Safelite in June 2023 after it developed a crack from a rock chip. We dropped the car off on a Saturday morning and it was returned to us later that afternoon. We were told the windshield replacement was uneventful. What subsequently unfolded after the seemingly innocuous decision to choose Safelite was a six-month long chain of events that required: 1) Replacement of the housing around the rearview mirror that the Safelite technician broke while during the initial windshield installation, which he failed to disclose and which fell down while my son was driving the car, nearly causing an accident 2) A second windshield replacement because of scratched frits from the tech trying to conceal the broken housing around the rearview mirror 3) A trip to the body ship to repair the 24" scratch they put in the hood (also not disclosed) 4) A trip to the Honda dealership to fix the rearview mirror that broke a week after the second windshield replacement. The Honda dealer needed to replace both the rearview mirror AND the windshield. So, to recap, a "routine" windshield replacement ended up requiring (over 6 months): - 3 separate windshields replacements - New housing around the rearview mirror - A new rearview mirror - Body work Due to the work of Francisco Aroche, the one trustworthy employee I encountered at Safelite Beaverton, Safelite ultimately made things right and refunded us what we paid for the initial windshield replacement and also paid for the interior car parts they broke and the body work necessary to repair the scratch in the paint. Thank you, Francisco! Obviously, your mileage may vary. In the end, and after a lot of coaxing and advocating by Francisco on our behalf, Safelite made things right. NB, Francisco is no longer at the Beaverton location, be warned if you decide to take your car here.

I made an appointment in person to have my cracked windshield replaced and broken off rearview mirror remounted. After waiting a week for my appointment day, I went in just to be told that they didn't have the right mirror mount. I rescheduled my appointment for the next available time, a week later, even though they said the part they needed was only in Portland. So I came back a week later and was told that whoever ordered the mirror mount ordered the same wrong one. So I was in the same position I had been in the week before, still driving with no rearview mirror, and wasting my time coming in for nothing. They said they could grind down the back of the mirror mount and glue it on if I didn't want to wait for the correct part...again. If that was the case, I don't know why they couldn't have done that at my original appointment. Anyway, I told them to just get it done because I couldn't drive without a rearview mirror any longer. When it was done a couple hours later, I got in my car to find that the rearview mirror was mounted SO LOW on the windshield that not only are the wires showing that were not visible at all before, but my vision out of my front windshield is extremely compromised with the mirror below my eye level, I have to crouch down to see beyond the mirror. I am extremely upset and every time I drive it, I get upset that my vision is compromised, not just as a driver, but as a mother of a 1 year old who is currently 6 months pregnant. I feel that they did a terrible job and didn't care enough to do it properly. I am currently looking elsewhere to get it redone properly.

Before you read any further, spare yourself headache and don't even attempt to use this Safelite shop. My experience: I had a rock chip in my windshield, and Safelite was the insurance recommended shop to get the repair done at. On 3/15/24, I scheduled a windshield replacement appointment for 3/26/24 (they had to order my windshield replacement). I show up to the appointment on 3/26, leave my keys with them and head out. I receive a call 1 hour later, being informed that they don't have a specific part to do my service, NOR DO THEY HAVE THE WINDSHIELD. So I show back up to the office, they said they don't know what happened, and wanted to reschedule, and offered to throw in free wiper replacements. So I reschedule for the following Tuesday, and I'm told that I should call before my appointment to make sure all of the parts are there (now it's my responsibility to make sure they have the parts to do the work?). So I call Tuesday morning before my appointment, and am told the glass has still not arrived... At this point I cancelled my work with them and went elsewhere. There seems to be a strong communication gap within the team at this location, which caused a lot of wasted time and effort for me. I have nothing to say about the actual service, since I did not even get that far. Hopefully just a fluke event, but I will not be returning to this shop.

Zero stars if I could. GEICO basically pushed Safelite on me, making it the default option on their claims app. The replacement windshield that Safelite installed on my Audi Q5 left my heads up display blurry and is disabled my ADAS... lane keep assist, traffic jam assist, and forward collision are not working as they used to. I pointed the blurriness out when they returned the car to me and they insisted it wasn't blurry. I noticed the malfunctioning ADAS on the drive to work later that day. When I got home I realized they installed a windshield that was not HUD compatible, as it has no markings for it, and that they did not properly calibrate the safety systems. Clearly they thought they could put any windshield in there and do the minimal amount of work, charge both me and GEICO, and then make me do the work of sorting it all out. Worst yet, GEICO Insurance Company, who pushed Safelite as their preferred repair shop, is unwilling to help get anything fixed. They are letting their preferred repair shop install glass that makes modern, safe cars LESS safe. Zero stars for them too. I had to file a warranty claim on the spot with Safelite and am waiting for my replacement to be replaced, again. AVOID Safelite if you care about your car working as the manufacturer designed it to.

Oh man, don’t know where to start.. got my windshield replaced, took 90 minutes, got the keys and guy told me about the warranty and left. Only to discover that the tech broke the cowl panel, installed the side seal wrong, left all the dirt inside the car, didn’t even clean the windshield from inside, then I saw a few scratches on the NEW windshield!!!. Called the store to file warranty claim, for new parts ordered, I was like, good company! Nah, 2 weeks later I got the email that the replant parts are ready, stopped by, told the new tech, Luke, everything and show him the broken part. They took the car for an hour, and told everyone got fixed and no payment is needed as it’s under warranty. I check the windshield, nothing replaced, and the broken part was stupid glued! When I showed the guy, his tone changed, and he said, we repaired it!! I’m the top of that, he accused me that “maybe it was broken before you brought it for the service” what a smart person!! Windshield replacement turned into “we didn’t feel it needs to be replaced, so we buffed it”. Really?? What’s the point of your 30 day manufacture warranty when your cheap windshield already comes in with scratches. It looks like I’m not the only one here doesn’t recommend this place. Better off with local store.

First off, misty up front and Benny in the back were excellent and helped as much as they could. Overall the experience here was a nightmare. Had to go to the location twice times for just a windshield replacement. - first appointment(my original appointment), I arrived at 7:15 for my 7:30 appointment that I scheduled online and they didn’t open till 8. At 8am I was the first one in the door and they said they didn’t have the part and it was at the warehouse even though I made the reservation a week prior so they should’ve been prepared - Second appointment, I arrived and waited for 6 hours(I was origin told this should only take 1.5 hours). I was told I would need to come back in 12 days for them to try again, I made my appointment and they went to pull the car around. Thankfully something switched when they tried moving the car and they were able to finish the recalibration. So I didn’t need to come back but I did spend 6 hours there and my windshield is different than the one I had originally even though it was OEM Safe to say I won’t be returning and will go literally anywhere else next time

I took my 2000 Escalade in for a replacement windshield. I made an appointment to take it into their shop instead of having someone come to me. I thought I would get a better job if it were done in their shop. Instead, they worked on it in the parking lot in the bright, hot sun. The tech told me the adhesive started to dry before they could get the windshield set. They went ahead and finished the job anyway and acted like it was a Class A job. There's a half inch gap from the body line all the way across the top of the windshield. There's adhesive smeared along the roof pillars inside the car. There was significant debris on the dash the seats and the floors that I had to vacuum up afterward. I brought these issues up to the person working the desk inside. He told me it would take 10 days for the adhesive to dry before they could remove the windshield to correct the issue. He said he was going to open a warranty claim on the issues and would email me with the information. It's been a week now and I haven't heard anything.NegativeProfessionalism

I would not recommend this location. They broke over 3 parts, replacing my windshield. When I took it to Portland for my warnty work that when they informed me of the clips being broken and they had to order them. Yesterday, on my way home, another part of my windshield flew off because the clips were broken, and they didn't even mention it. They neglected to tell me they broke my car as well as dent it. I am going to be filing a case against them on small claims court as well as reaching out to the BBB. Un acceptable and they lack the integrity. My car doesn't have a finished date and safelite as a company can't even get you connected with localpl they shoot you to a call center and put you on hold while they talk to the store. Support your local body or glass shop, and you will actually receive quality work for the right price. I even attempted to find the part that flew off to validate the lack of care as well as the part that flew off keep water out of my engine bayNegativeProfessionalism
