I received a number of reminders from Colonie NY safelite about the time and date of my mobile appointment. I originally was schedule from 12noon to 5pm. At 10am i was told that the tech would be at my house at 12 noon. By 4;30 pm I called and was assured that a tech was "on the way." around 530pm i receive a call from someone who did not give his name. The man explained that they could not come over because they were out of daylight. This person was so flippant about his company's failures and eventually told me that safelite did not need my business? How can anybody be so flippant about wasting somebody's whole day. I was offered to come in in a Saturday or a sunday . I would have expected safelite to give me the first appontment on the next day. I find it somehow ironic that Safelite did everything to make sure that i was available for the appointment. Anybody can schedule an appointment. I guess the trick is to actally show up for the appointment. I did what was asked of me. Unfortunately Safelite did not! shame shame shame

I have made 3 attempts to have my windshield replaced. The first two days, both technicians did not show up, call me, or cancel. I just had to call to find out what happened after they missed the (very wide) appointment window to find out they weren't coming. Third attempt the shop called me and said they overscheduled and had to push me back even farther, then he actually scheduled me for a different day than we talked about minutes before on the phone, so now my 4th appointment is on the wrong day. It takes multiple calls of 5 minutes minimum to get past the horrible automated answering machine and to a real person any time you have an issue. It has been a complete and utter waste of time, 15 hours waiting for techs that never came and at least an hour on the phone. I would go anywhere else if my Insurance hadn't made me use Safelite.

Dropped off my vehicle only to find out they didn’t have the part. Brought the car back after being told. It was covered by the warranty, and I was told that it was no longer covered by the warranty, and that somehow it had been struck by an object. It was not they inspected it and saw that it was an expansion crack. Customer Service from that shop in from the Latham shop both were disrespectful in the way they spoke to me about my window and implied that I was lying and that it was struck, and it could not possibly be an expansion crack. They also did not address the distortion That the windshield had After trying to connect with a manager I ran into a belligerent manager from Latham, who would not even give me his name. Unless corporate does something about the way that they treat customers I would not go back to this company.

The repair lasted one month. It cost me over 400 dollars to have the cameras fixed after they were put in loose when my windshield was replaced. Having the dealership even examine them voids the warranty apparently. My insurance company has some sort of contract with then, but I would never use them again. While Safelite's reply states what the rep said when I called, it is and was not helpful given my dealership had already looked because it was going in for service and I assumed it was an issue unrelated to the very recent repair. I am working to get my insurance to provide better options than Safelite. They should make good on their mistakes.

No response whatsoever. Passenger side window shattered on 12/26. Insurer made appointment for me with Safelite. Quickest appointment available was 1/4. Appointment window was 8am-5pm. I got no call before 4:25pm. I called to see if my appointment would still be honored at this late time. DURING my call, I got a text that I’d be rescheduled for 1/10. Waited all day for nobody to call, nobody to show up, nobody even answered the phones. Looks like they could care less for my business. Commercials must be working well for them to turn away business this way.

I had an appointment today that the tech never showed up to. We waited all morning, not able to use our car, and there was no contact from the company that they would not be coming. I wasted more time calling around trying to figure out what was happening. A phone number a service agent provided me with was out of service. Finally another agent said the shop would return my call to set up an appointment for today but I am still waiting for a return call. Unbelievable waste of my time and hugely unprofessional.NegativeResponsiveness

Found a place that quoted me $100 cheaper and they would come to my home to do it I'm not a moron I'm not leaving my classic car to be taken out on a joy ride. Not to mention the $50 disposal fee on top of the $450 charge for a windshield replacement this place is a rip off! I don't know how anyone could trust these people I get told something different every time I tried to make the appointment and than after I get told they can't do it anyway unless I drop it off and leave them the car ha no way JosePrice assessmentOverpriced

The technician named Kishaun installed my window amazingly on my 1992 Lexus sc300. Being that this is such an old car and is quite literally a classic car it means a lot to me to have fresh glass in it. It was done professionally, cleanly and in a timely matter. Kishaun was very diligent about making sure not to damage anything and acknowledged the importance of such a classic vehicle. I will definitely be seeking out Kishaun for future needs. Quality✅ professionalism ✅ integrity✅.

The store manager Britney does not return phone calls and is always “out to lunch” or had a “family emergency”. Technician Josh was incredibly rude when I asked for clarification on why my sensors were not re-calibrated which my insurance company and the auto manufacturers dealership confirmed is required when a windshield is replaced. Use Capital Land Auto Glass. Safelites customer service is a joke and they do not know the ins and outs of windshield replaced as advertised.

Quite possibly the most professional, understanding, kind people I’ve met. Keith was a delight, and helped me out in every single way possible. They care more about the customer than they do the money and that’s how businesses should be run. They replaced my back right window, and the application was flawless. Not one bad thing to say about them. You guys deserve the best!PositivePunctuality, Quality, Professionalism, ValueServicesAuto side window replacement
