"Certified technician" Patrick Vance replaced the windshield on our car at our home as part of Safelite's mobile service. He arrived, groughly asked for access to the vehicle, and showed my wife the new windshield. He replaced the windshield, rang the doorbel, and told my wife the keys were "in it" and immediately left without giving her the opportunity to check his work. As it turned out, Patrick installed the incorrect piece of glass and did a poor job in doing so. Upon my inspection I noted: 1. There was a 1/4" wide strip of eurethane gasket material protruding along the inside of the driver's side A pillar for probably 8-10 inches. 2. The windshield was installed off-center by nearly half an inch to the passenger side. Aside from being aesthetically unpleasing, this left a physical gap between the top driver's side moulding and the glass edge of the windshield. 3. Patrick's greasy black fingerprints were all over the beige interior of the car (A pillar, headliner, etc). 4. The glass was the wrong piece. The tinting at the base of the windshield did not come up high enough to conceal the inside of the A-pillar behind the interior trim. This was incredibly noticeable from the exterior. 5. At the top of the cowling (base of the windshield were two large globs of eurethane that were clearly obvious upon inspection and served no purpose (as he later indicated they were to "hold down" the "old rubber" molding). We filed a warranty claim with Safelite, and Patrick returned to fix his work. I marked each discrepancy with a small piece of painter's tape so I would remember to address each issue in turn with him. When he arrived for the warranty work, I went outside to find him with 4 or 5 pieces of the tape removed from the windshield. He immediately demanded "Well, what's wrong with it?!" After explaining the significance of the tape markers he was removing, he immediately began defending his awful tradesmanship all the while telling me "This windshield is installed correctly, or you wouldn't be able to read the VIN in the window at the bottom!" As I pointed out to him, even the VIN was off-center in the window. I asked what more could be done because I was not satisfied with his work. He called his manager at the shop (Joshua Blevins) who agreed to meet with me later that afternoon. While on the phone, I witnessed him making false claims to the manager that there's "not a thing wrong" with the windshield, but the customer wanted to see him anway. Bottom line, Patrick Vance is not to be trusted to service your automobile. If you choose this Safelite, and Patrick arrives, just send him away! He is not trustworthy, shoddily performs his vocation, and takes no pride in his work or your vehicle!ServicesAuto windshield replacement

Had a very frustrating experience here. I made an appointment for 7am, and even got several confirmations about the time through text and email. I brought my car at 7am and found out their business hours didn’t start until 8am. Waited for 20 min, no one showed up. Tried to call and no one answered. The confirmation said it typically takes 3-4 hours, but when I called at 2:30pm (more than 6 hours later) and it still wasn’t done, I was told (falsely) that they were calibrating it. Turns out they weren’t. Since I couldn’t get ahold of anyone after that, I just decided to go in person at 4:45pm since I knew they closed at 5pm. They hadn’t even started calibrating it. The tech then told me that since I dropped it off in the morning it was an “all day drop off” so they left my vehicle unfinished to work on other vehicles in between. He said the email says it would take all day (it didn’t). At 5:30pm, they still hadn’t started. No acknowledgement. No apology. Couldn’t get ahold of a manager. Zero communication. They finally started trying to calibrate the systems around 530pm, and couldn’t get it to work. I was there until 630pm. They then asked me to come back in the morning to try calibrating it again. It still didn’t work. So they needed to have the glass replaced with a better type of glass to avoid the calibration issue. But because they had just put on new glass, we had to wait a week for the materials to dry. So we came back a week later and again I dropped it off at 730am, only for them to not even work on it until closer to noon, and then set it aside to fix other vehicles, insisting again that it was an “all day drop off.” The tech even told me multiple times that they had other appointments scheduled in the afternoon so they couldn’t finish my car that had been there since the morning. They eventually finished it around 4pm. No apology. No attempt to make anything better. They just blamed us for making an “all day drop off” appointment. Not coming back here. UPDATE: after I complained multiple times to the Safelite corporate office, I was contacted by the manager for the Albuquerque location. He was very helpful and apologetic, and tried very hard to make things right and make things better moving forward. Honestly if the Santa Fe location had dealt with the situation like he did, I wouldn’t be writing this. You’re probably better off just going to his shop in Albuquerque. I’m not coming back to this one.

I showed up for my appointment at the Santa Fe location promptly at 9:30 as requested by multiple texts and emails after I made my appointment. The receptionist told me that the glass had not come in on the truck that morning. I did not get a call about this and had scheduled my morning around dropping the car off and getting a ride. I was asked to leave the car there and hope the glass came in on the 1pm truck. I was assured that they would call me either way. Fortunately, I decided to take my car until I got a call. I never heard back from anyone. I tried calling multiple times that day to spend long waits on hold before always only reaching a call center. Apparently the Santa Fe location “does not take phone calls”. I was told by the call center that they would email the manager and have him/her get back to me. That was last week. I have not heard back, and still have a broken windshield. I’m going to have to use an Albuquerque location, which is really inconvenient. I hope Safelite Corp. will find a more reliable shop to put their name on in Santa Fe. I don’t trust these guys to work on my car after this experience and reading other reviews. What a shame as Safelite at different locations has been truly excellent for many years.

The process was super affordable and very simple; all I had to do was break my windshield 😉 and they handled the rest! Communication was clear and accurate, and so many updates!! It made it very easy to schedule my day and get all my things down and still accommodate the appointment. My tech, Erick, was prompt, professional, and not just courteous, but also genuinely friendly and pretty funny. The work done seems impeccable, and follow up had been appropriate and super thorough as well! I was very overwhelmed about what I *thought* this process would entail and how expensive it would be, and SAFELITE made it so quick, simple and affordable, that it was probably, actually the easiest chore on my list to get checked off!! I would ABSOLUTELY 💯 👌🏾 use them again, and certainly I don't hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing repair!

The replacement of my 2024 Subaru Crosstrek passenger window took 6 hours due to “issues with auto pinch sensor”. I was even sent to local Subaru dealership in Santa Fe to ameliorate the situation, but they made it very clear that there was no issues with anti-sensor. The tech is finally able to replace the window without it automatically rolling down. I then take my vehicle back to Albuquerque where I live and come to find that the passenger door is now not able to open from the inside. Overall, this process took way longer than it should have and now I have to return to Safelite to have my passenger door handle fixed. What should’ve been a simple replacement of my window ended up being a six hour ordeal and now I need to go back to Safelite because of issues with my passenger door.

Horrible service. Snarky attitudes. I got my windshield replaced. When I arrived to pick it up the technician was no longer in and neither was the key to the vehicle as the technician took the key with him. They broke my antennae and made no efforts to make it good. I had a spare and took my vehicle. I was told the key would be placed in my mail box the next day. It was not. Follow up communication was met with snarky attitudes and rude customer service. When asked about my key I was told "You can come get it as I cannot leave. That was always an option." When I told him it was a long round trip for me, he tried to argue details of how much time it would take me. How about you try and make good on the fact that you kept my key and broke my antennae?

Horrible experience! Do not get your auto glass repaired/replaced here if you have an option. Installer made a mistake, refused to correct it. When the front windshield cracked two months after the shoddy install, they refused to perform warranty work, stating that they only offered a 30 day warranty for all work. So much for a lifetime glass guarantee, as long as I own the vehicle. Now I think know why they charge twice as much as Speedy glass - they needed two windshields to replace my one broken one. Had to go down to Albuquerque to get the warranty honored. Never shop here! I sure as hell won’t be back.

The work is first-rate — no doubt. The only reason this is not a five-star review is because I got up at 4:30 a.m. to dive 116 miles from my house in Red River to drop my car off at around 8:15 a.m. I had to Uber or walk around Santa Fe while my car sat there MOST OF THE DAY and I didn't get my car back until around 6:40 p.m. Meanwhile, another customer — who brought his car in at 3:30 p.m. — got out at the same time. I get that Subaru's are super complicated, but what is the point of a 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. appointment if my car was gong to get bumped to the end of the day anyway?

Santa fe safelite were super Professional!!! I had a rock chip on my classic car it was repaired great.I had a Windshield molding that wouldnt stay in place, and just loved to come out while driving constantly.I told the manager about it,he took the extra time to get the problem fixed.I can drive my classic now with out that moulding coming loose. On top of that it was no extra charge! He told me to bring it back there if i had any troubles with it.I sure will. The whole experience was excellent.Thank you

Safelite Research department needs training on how to use the VIN to ENSURE they have the correct windows. I waited for over two MONTHS to have my windows done and then was forced to drive over 100 miles each way to have the work done! I am NOT impressed with the overall Safelite experience at all and will provide this feedback to USAA who also forced me to use Safelite. The technician however was good and did accomplish the repairs while I sat in the waiting area for 4 and one half hours.
