City Auto Glass

I recently had my drivers side window smashed out and my car got vandalized. I had never experienced anything like it. I learned that my full coverage insurance had a glass deductible of $1,000 so I would have to pay for the damage completely out of pocket. I called roughly 8 different places around the Duluth Area and received quotes from all of them. City Auto was the cheapest option. Their Call Representative (Rose) was an all star. She called my insurance company. She asked me a lot of questions and she got me in as soon as possible! When I went to drop my car off they are centrally located right by a caribou coffee. I got there and immediately they pulled my car into the shop. Replacement took around 40 minutes in which I sat outside on their bench and soaked in the sun. Staff was friendly, polite and knowledgeable. Definitely 10/10 service and highly recommend.

This review is after their acquisition by Safelite. Contacted them for a very minor chip repair. Was great to get in very quickly in person but they automatically assumed someone would be coming out to my home. Regardless, I got in for the repairs which only took 15 minutes. I was thoroughly impressed by the speed! However, it cost $175 ($169/hr labor) for that 15 minutes and the chip was still visible and a larger crack spreading from that chip was now visible as well. It looks "sealed" from the outside, but the blemish is still quite apparent. I'm not sure if I had unrealistic expectations that this would eliminate the chip and make it look good as new, but the price made me balk a fair amount. I do have to say that everyone was incredibly nice and professional, though! I'll update the review if the chip stays sealed or if it spreads further.

This place is AWESOME! I called on a Saturday after Safelite had lost my windshield and canceled my appointment after they failed to fix a chip and had already canceled another appointment as well. My insurance was being difficult when it came to switching from safelite to city auto glass but Brianna, the person I called at city auto glass, was amazing and got my insurance to work out! Brianna deserves a mega raise for real. Technicians came out to my house, were flexible with my schedule, and replaced my windshield in my garage. I have used City Auto (Hibbing) for rock chip repairs on buses and vans. I have had more than one window repacement on our personal vehicles. In my last repair on the Caravan, there was in issue with the antenna remaining fastened to the window. It was well taken care of with an extra visit. They have always been prompt and courteous. If there are any potenial future issues to be noted they are communicated. One of my favorite businesses on the Iron Range for service. Highly Recommended. ok - had some issues as they did not order the correct glass first round after I had taken off work to sit for an hour to have them replace it -- they had to order glass from a dealer which came a week later. Also - couple things afterwards -- had one of the wiper blade come completely loose - if they had removed them to replace the glass it was not tightened back correctly - also have had issues with the backup camera which is now very dim -- not sure if there is a direct correlation to glass replacement or if calibration needs / needed to happen - thanks.ServicesAuto windshield replacement

This is the place to go for windshield work. I can’t say enough positive things about the team at City Auto Glass. Their staff and customer service are incredible. They all have such great attention to detail and you can tell they care about the work they do. I got my windshield replaced and all the driver-assist features recalibrated and everything works flawlessly. Drove through a massive storm last week and the new windshield performed perfectly. I drove 60 miles to have City Auto Glass work on my car and it was worth every mile. I will definitely use them again if I need to.

Will always go with City Auto glass. Called to make an appt and was able to narrow down the time to a 4 hour window. The guys called earlier in the day and were accommodating with adjusting what stops they were making so I could finish my errands. Living near the business, when they came they asked if they could take my vehicle to their shop for the windshield repair for ease and better results being in a more controlled climate. They offered to take my vehicle for me, and returned shortly after finishing. Great results and great ease with getting it taken care of

Very poorly run company. Schedule 4 hour afternoon window for windshield repair. Then I receive a text/voicemail from the tech that they can't work the schedule or not available. Three times for that. Now that I need the windshield replaced, the tech leaves voicemail that he will be to busy to work the schedule that I have been given 12 to 4 again. They clearly don't want the job for whatever reason; to long, to complicated (Lincoln Navigator) and not worth the reimbursement I assume. Why not tell me to go somewhere else, which of course I have to do now.

Had a few minor cracks in locations that were not repairable, so Dylan and their team were prompt in getting me scheduled for a window replacement. The entire process was smooth and was well communicated. I've had previous windows replaced by Safelite and I didn't have a bad experience, but it felt like that typical corporate "get in, get out" mentality, whereas City Auto Glass made me feel like a valued customer. I have used City Auto Glass services on three different occasions and they are always so helpful, speedy and have over the top service. Joshua came and replaced the rear glass on my Acadia recently and he must have saw I had a replacement wiper arm in the back of my vehicle and he installed it for me. I have had that wiper arm for 8 months, with intentions of replacing it myself, and never got around to it because the nut wouldnt come off. What a weight off my shoulders. Thank you for your over the top kind servce!
