Precision Auto Glass in Columbia

I called on Wednesday and my glass was replaced on Thursday at their shop. During the installation, the crew noticed that the window moulding was defective. Rather than install it and act like nothing happened, the crew stopped everything and asked if I could stay a little longer while they ran out and got a quality replacement part. I was not in a hurry and was able to take conference calls while they were getting the replacement part and finishing the installation. Regardless, the team did not waste any time getting the replacement part and finishing the installation. I was impressed. Here's why I rate them 5 stars: 1) They prioritize quality work and products. 2) Their sense of urgency on my behalf was outstanding and I could tell they were genuinely concerned about the delay and getting the new part as fast as possible. 3) The pricing is competitive and 4) Really nice people work there including the owner! They even offered me some watermelon! I will not hesitate to call Precision Auto Glass for my next windshield replacement. This was the best glass replacement service I've ever experienced. I came to bring my car in like I have many times before. However this time when I repaired one of my door windows, after the install, the button on my driver door to control this window no longer worked. I had a reasonable conversation with Dave the owner/ manager about what could be done. However Dave had called this man to “talk” to me. After approaching me very aggressively he walks up to my passenger door without an indication and starts yelling for me to open it. This leads to a small yelling match from him, as he’s come to me asking what happened, I try to explain and he keeps brushing me off. Then gets in my face and try’s to snatch my phone out of my hand. I have no issues with Dave however his reaction to how his employees act and handle problems when this guy was the one who worked on my car is ridiculous. They shouldn’t be angry if a customer has an issue related to the work, if the work done isn’t right or has caused a new issue. If I could post the video on google I would however as you see in the pictures he reaches to try and touch my phone.

After having a nightmare experience with safelite, I called every auto glass place shop in Maryland and even the dealership I purchased from and no one could get me the windshield. After speaking with someone at Precisin Auto Glass and explaining that everyone is saying the part is unavailable and there’s nothing they could do. They told me they would look into immediately and get back to me. Within 20minutes Precision Auto Glass called me back and already had the part on the way. Told me to come by the shop and they had me in and out in under 2 hours. Considering that everyone else completely blew me off and said there’s nothing you can do besides placing an order outright and hoping the back order would be filled. Precision Auto Glass was amazing and really saved the day for me. I’ll never take another vehicle anywhere else. Thanks guys you really went above and beyond.

On Christmas eve, during the subfreezing temperatures our daughters rear side window got smashed and we had to replace it. We tried other Auto Glass replacement companies but none could replace the window until near new year eve. We called Precision auto glass and spoke with Dave. He didn't have the window in stock but said he would order and have the window overnighted and would be able to replace it the day after Christmas. She brought the car in on Christmas Eve to have Dave put a seal on the window and to clean the glass, which he did. The day after Christmas he replaced the window. The price he charged was much lower than the name brand glass replacement companies. Small little shop over by Lifetime Fitness. Not the easiest place to find, but well worth it. At first, he didn't think he could repair the two nicks (fairly large) and five cracks in my windshield. He was worried he'd move the cracks and cause further damage. I knew it wasn't going to be an easy fix. I told him I couldn't afford a new windshield right now and I would take the risk. He did a fantastic job with the amount of damage I had. Yes, you can still see two spots on the windshield, but I've had repairs before, and it's just a fact of life for glass fixes like that. I offered to tip him because the job took a lot of his time, especially in the heat wave we had this week, but he refused. Highly recommend! Note: His price was exactly half of Safelite's quote.

Superb glass replacement company. Convenient location in Columbia, great price, excellent work. I had the windshield on my Tesla replaced at a fraction of the cost Tesla quoted (literally less than 1/3 the price!). The glass used isn’t the exact same as the original Tesla, but it’s high quality, the finish is perfect, and it took less than 2 hours (I did have to wait until the glass arrived before the work could start). The owner Dave is super nice, clearly hardworking, and seems honest. Highly recommend!

These guys were awesome. I was recommended different shop by my insurance company. After that shop cancelled my appointment at the last moment, I found Precision after a little searching on my own. This place is punctual, reliable and honest. Had a cracked windshield on my Explorer, called Precision and it was replaced the next morning. Wanted the OEM Ford windshield and they got it right away. Dave showed me the windshield before installation so that I was sure it was OEM - a reassuring gesture on his part. Was professionally installed and paid exactly what I was quoted. Dave and co did an amazing job on my Lexus. I paid out of pocket for the OEM windshield. I was charged a very fair price for labor + glass + calibration. Definitely cheaper than the dealership. I dropped my car off at his shop and the repair was done in less than 3 hours. After driving my car around for a few days, I can safely say the replacement holds up well. Highly recommended. If I ever need another windshield replaced, I'll drive down to Maryland again for this shop.

I had to take a moment to leave a comment. We run to leave bad reviews and it’s only fair to do the same when good things happen. I have had trouble with the regulator in my 2016 Dodge and from the very first time they have gone above and beyond. It’s a very tedious job and I would hate to see myself coming but not these guys. They always handle it with grace and fairness. If you want honest and quality work done I would recommend them over and over! Thank you all!
