Vic's Auto Glass

One of my car windows was hit by a rock yesterday afternoon and crumbled. My insurance told me to go to Vic's. I read the other interviews first and was dreading it, but since neither of them had actually gotten serviced by Vic's, I decided to give it a go. This business did great by me. They asked me to come by yesterday so they could make sure they got the right replacement parts, and then were able to get to me FIRST thing this morning. I got there at 8:20 AM, they had the part waiting, and my window was finished and perfectly installed by 9am, so I was out in LESS THAN AN HOUR. Super quick and easy service, it was great, and their prices are very affordable. If I had to guess why the other reviewers didn't like it- It's run by an older guy, who has a little trouble talking, and possible hearing impairment. He might sound cranky, but that's just the way he talks. He might also get frustrated when people don't understand him, or he misunderstands what they are trying to tell him. I met him in person instead of just talking to him on the phone, and he was very nice and very helpful, as was his helper. Location/Appearance- The place looks a bit run-down, as does the surrounding neighborhood, but your car is safe with them. I'm going to go out on a limb here, and suggest that maybe one of the reasons it's so affordable is because they aren't charging you extra just so they can repaint the building every year.

I have to say we are so sensitive these days but sometimes people aren't rude, they are just gruff. I went to Vic's because he is "down the block" from me. When I challenged him about my rearview mirror he threatened to spank my behind because "I'm a fighter," he said. I said, "My mom, too, and I'll send her down here." The price is a far cry from what everyone else told me so I wanted to be sure. I had called on the phone before but felt I needed to go see for myself. My co-worker had recommended him but I'd forgotten until I told her what happened. I asked how long he's been doing this and he told me his story. He's been doing glasswork longer than I've been alive. I figure he must know what he is doing. I'd say, don't be put off by his gruffness and be patient. He's actually friendly and an elder whose still working for a living. My five stars is because I think he is a good person. If the work is not good, I'll let you know but two co-workers have used him so ...

Went today to take my mother’s car to get the windshield repaired. Another shop referred us to him. While tending to another customer, he asked what I wanted. I told him an estimate, he responded, “don’t you see me talking to this lady”, I responded, “You asked me a question, I didn’t initiate the conversation.” He said, “you wait until I’m finish with her. I’m a fighter.” The other lady whispered, he’s not all there, he’s been like that for years.” I immediately got in the car and left. He is very lucky that I am not like I used to be 25-30 years ago. No way I’m patronizing a business that has an employee talking to potential customers in a disrespectful manner. This guy is just RUDE and letting money walk out of the door. I went to another place and got it done.

I've been going to this man to fix my windshield since 1991 He's a crazy old eccentric loud mouth old man who comes across rude but he's helped people for years CUSTOMER SERVICE? most of the time it's just him DIRTY SHOP? Who cares his prices are low its just him I've had reputable shops screw up jobs on windshields. I Just had a windshield job done on a later model vehicle Almost $500 at every shop I called, Because of the type of windshield it was I went to Vic, $290. I guess this man is not for everybody The only reason I'm giving him 5 stars is because they it's because there's no option for 10 stars 30 YEARS IVE BEEN GOING TO THIS MAN TILL THIS DAY HE NEVER REMEMBERED MY NAME!!!!😄👍🏿❤

Sorry to hear a reviewer report, that, Mr. Vic had transitioned- May 2022. I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with his work on the occasions that I needed my vehicles windows repaired. Mr. Vic was a "OLD SCHOOL" Craftsman and personality that, admittedly, may have taken some getting used to, by some; but, once you got to know Mr. Vic, you knew you were in "GOOD and TRUSTWORTHY" hands. And, I'm sure he is sorely missed, by those customers and "FRIENDS" who were fortunate to have gotten to DO BUSINESS and KNOW Mr. Vic...RIP!

Vic is an ornery old man. He's hard to talk to on the phone. There is NOTHING fancy about this place. Use the bathroom before you come, because you won't like his. But, he does decent work and the price is very reasonable. He might take a few extra minutes than the high end places, but not much more if you get there early. I had to replace my passenger side window after a break in. 9am to 10:30am, pull up to out the door time. $150.60 after tax. On a 2004 Acura MDX.

The guy does hate talking on the phone but what great prices he has and a different but awesome sense of humor. The guy has done 2 of my windows and its by far the cheapest in town. Vic told me that he didn't like it that I was in school so he wanted me to call him doc! After a few times of calling him doc he really began to enjoy my company. Great work plus cheap prices and always a story....yep he's my guy. So give him a try guys seriously.

Didn't put back my mirror but installed it on the old car before me.i didn't notice it not till the next day at the dealership when I was ask why the mirror was peeling .and I looked that how I knew were it can from also the .also some of item that rubber that go around your window shied was not my car is a 2015 and that car was 2000 the own told me.there whole car was fading.

Seriously Vics has the best prices and he does a very stand up job. Vic is not much of a talker, but seriously if you just want a new windshield at a very reasonable price this is you place. If you are looking for someone to be your best friend...this is not the place. He is not rude...just not a talker. I am very satisfied with the job they did

Best bang for your buck over here at vics and they're super quick also my car is 2017 and they got all the electrical connections right panel and weather striping on the door. If you need same day service at a good price stop over here. If you feel vic is rude its because your sensitive he had me in stitches the whole time I was here lol.
