For starters, if you care about the resale value of your car, do not agree to the resin fix. The cracks will still be highly visible and to be honest, I'm not sure why that is offered, especially on new(er) cars and to those who have full coverage that covers glass replacements. So comes the day of windshield replacement - note this was delayed a week as the scheduler told me to get there early and I would be seen right away and did not tell me that I actually needed to set a time. So I arrived the following Saturday at the scheduled time. The install seemed to go OK, except discovering later that someone sat on my sunglasses, bending them badly. They're ruined. I discovered the day after that wind leaks had formed in several locations in the top part of the windshield. So it needs to go back for that. But the worst part is that they damaged my car. There is a body-colored A-Pillar cover that looks like a sensor/wiring is attached to the underside. The Safelite tech broke some tabs and instead of telling me, tried to lock it into place to cover it up. That was discovered when I was driving at highway speeds, and I suddenly notice part of my car fluttering in the wind and a sharp increase in wind noise (in addition to the whistling in several spots around the windshield.) I could not secure this piece of trim, and rain or shine, I have to drive with the window down, holding this trim down so it doesn't dent and scratch my car. When is this acceptable? It was so much fun driving to work in a downpour when the window partially down and holding down part of my car. I have a follow-up appointment already scheduled and this will get resolved. Letting a customer discover on the highway that the tech damaged a car is unacceptable, as they had to know the piece of trim was not going in correctly and they left the damaged trim alone instead of working on a fix. ---edit--- Safelite acknowledged they broke some tabs that held the trim in place and was able to reattach the broken trim piece back to the existing trim and the pillar. They also patched the areas where some of the epoxy didn't seal fully. After a highway drive, it appears to have fixed the problems. I'm thankful that they were able to fix this issue without any difficulties and raised the review by several stars.

Do not use Safelite. I scheduled a full windshield replacement a week in advance and they cancelled my appointment without telling me. I left work early to make the appointment, I drove all the way out there (25 mins) and all I got was a "sorry for the inconvenience". Now I have to make up the time I missed at work for no reason. I searched through my entire email inbox and couldn't find any email from them telling me it was cancelled. No text, nothing. As I sat in their parking lot, I called a local Louisville windshield repair shop and they were able to schedule me for the following day since they had my model car's windshield in stock and they came to my work to do the replacement. Do not use Safelite, just use local.

Would absolutely NEVER use again! I made an appointment on 5/10/25 for a windshield replacement for a 1998 corvette. Appointment confirmed for 5/21/25. Two days ago I received a text message to confirm the appointment again, which I did. This morning I received a voice-mail from Sheila stating they were having issues getting the windshield in and it would be delivered by June 4th. They rescheduled my appointment to June 4th. I can understand a parts delay, but when I received the confirmation email the $80 off promo code I had used when I booked it had been removed. I called Safelite and asked why the price had gone up when they had rescheduled the date. I spoke with someone named Rece who was national apparently and not at the local store. He agreed and said he would call the manager at Louisville and make sure it was corrected. Approximately 10 min after our conversation maybe less I receive an email from Rece stating he spoke with the Louisville manager and they cannot replace the windshield due to the molding and not being able to get it. He said they have canceled my work order and I will need to go to a dealership. After I received the email I then get a text confirming my June 4th appointment! So first it is the windshield isn't in stock yet, then I question the price change, now its molding which I didn't ask to be done to begin with ?! Which is it Safelite?! Absolutely horrible customer service! They cannot get their stories straight! Unprofessional company and I am beyond upset at being jerked around! I have had this planned for almost 2 weeks. Safelite doesn't care that people have taken off work and adjusted their schedule For all potential customers go elsewhere!!!

Took in my Acura RDX so get the back glass replaced because my insurance company sent me there and they “offer a guarantee”. There was no glass inside the hatch when I took it in. It’s been a nightmare ever since. They told me a few pieces of glass will be in the hatch of my vehicle after replacing it. They didn’t really give me any other option. You’d think being a glass replacement business, you’d figure out a way to NOT get glass in a hatch. There is WAY more than a few pieces. I had the whole back windshield taped up so no glass should have gotten in there to begin with. Then, the tech made the mistake of telling me they’ve had 4 or 5 like this so, they knew it was an issue and did nothing to prevent it. My insurance Erie said that they should be the ones to fix this issues safelite doesn’t think so (for some reason). They claim “we replaced the glass, our job is done and I should take it to a detail or body shop to get it out”. Now why would I have to when they’re the ones that got the glass in there to begin with?! Their customer service is absolute trash and their managers never answer their phones. I wish I would have taken this somewhere else that just does the bare minimum. Be careful when choosing this place for any glass replacement!

Never again. 4 visits, 8 hours in waiting room. Absurd excuses, contradictions all to excuse shoddy workmanship. Most egregious, told me the misfitting window trim was a "wear item like the tires on the car". Really? And they left it that way again after the second install to correct issues with the first install. I returned after the first install because the Subaru eyesight system kept shutting down and even the lightest of rain. Never did that before. When I went in I was told can't be what they did because they did the calibration. But they said they would look at it. 20 minutes later another tech came out and said what's the problem and I explained and again he said can't be what they did but they'll look. An hour and a half later a third tech came out and Said the eyesight system is not working because of the non-OEM glass they had installed and they will have to install new Subaru. The next install was poor workmanship, sealant oozing out, trim not fitting etc The list of excuses goes on. Used this place for years, always did excellent work. Not any more.

The Technician did not install the lower, plastic cowl panel correctly. There are little tab clips made to slide under the windshield to hold the panel flat against the windshield. Instead of taking the time to install the panel correctly, he simply laid it on top of the windshield and fastened down the mechanical fasteners. When I pointed it out, the technician said that it was like that before, telling me that he took pictures. I asked to see the pictures and he told me that he couldn't show me the pictures. Pictures posted are how the panel looked after installation. The vehicle has always been highly maintained and I doubt highly that the panel was like the previously. Even if it was, why did the Technician not take the time to install it correctly? Is it possible that he set the windshield too low in the opening. We will find out as I will take the time to have the panel installed correctly.ServicesAuto windshield replacementPrice assessmentReasonable price

To Whom It may concern,,, I will say this is one of the most unpleasant experiences with Safelite or any other company on completing a job… Number 1,,,It took over a month to get a front window for my Tesla X which I had an employee drive over 1 hour each way TWICE…The first time you ordered the wrong window after giving you the direct VIN from the vehicle… Number 2,,,Lexa from my office which was the one who drove down the first time had to call and check on the front glass that was reordered TWICE before getting a response back and it magically showed up within 2 days… Number 3,,,My front dash looks like a Christmas tree with all the warnings and safety features NOT available because the front camera is NOT calibrated correctly... Number 4,,,Tools were left in my front floor board…Thank you for the donation of tools… What a joke…

Paul the technician who replaced my windshield was nice and did the job. My disappointment is with the facility. I had no covered parking at home or work, we had rain and snow the week I scheduled and to reschedule would have put me into May. So I canceled until the weather looked better. I scheduled for a Thursday and Safelite rescheduled me no notice to Friday. Then on Wednesday I got a cancelation notice. No reason. It took me 25 mins to find a number then get past the recordings to a human. Once I got the shop I was told that they canceled me for canceling them 2 times or more. I said not true, here is why I canceled the one and only time. I finally got my appt back but the price went from 410.68 to 463.65. If you have no covered parking at home or work, don't schedule unless you can control the weather.

Absolutely horrible customer service. I scheduled the appointment but they cancelled it without ever texting me as I asked in my request for service. I saw that they called me on the day of the appointment, they didn't leave a message and they cancelled the appointment within 3 minutes of calling me. I've called them 5 times with no answer, even after leaving messages, no response. I used their chat service, what a joke, I couldn't get assistance. They told me that the cancelled the appointment because I didn't show up for the appointment. I took off work and waited for them. I was home. On the rescheduled date, I got no phone call, no text and didn't hear from them; Now I can't even reschedule on their website, this is an insurance claim. I guess they registered the work as complete.

Worst experience ever. We were scheduled for our appointment. They emailed, text and called to confirm our appointment. Got there and they didn’t see our appointment. So they rescheduled for later in week. We did leave our car so they could fixed it so it was already there. So they called me after my appointment and said they needed me to pick up the car to get some codes cleared at the dealership. It took another week and opted to just get the dealership to fix the windshield. If I had to redo this Safe lite would not have been part of this equation. I felt like it was a waste of time. Hopefully your experience will be better here! Ours wasn’t great and cost me extra week of rental car fees. Safe lite do better!
