My insurance company uses this company to replace windshield. To my dismay this shop is not Professional and does not bother to investigate the details of how technicians fixes or replaces windshield. They are not accountable to their work. They did not seat the windshield they replaced properly and the following days I had a crack at the very bottom of the windshield. Spoke to a manager and said "oh this is an impact"! We do not warranty direct impacts! Did not even bother to see the work that technician completed. The work was sloppy! The rubber that was suppose to be on the glass was not seated properly on the edge of the windshield! They did not even bother to align the rubber gasket that slides into the bottom windshield! The manager does not care about their customers and should be fired! Btw, this is the 2nd car they mess up..1st car they broke a piece and had to replaced it! Luckily in the State of Florida, I found out that there is no limit and cost to replace Windshield due to a crack so I had to hire a different company to replace the windshield again!!! I think this is an insurance scam from Safelite not paying attention to their employees work and just saying "oh, its an impact and we don't warranty that!" and needs to be address and I hope my insurance company reads this!!! So this is follow up after another company replaced my windshield. The window technician that replaced my windshield was as former employee of Safe-Lite and I was very enlightened what the company does. Safe-Lite actually uses after market windshield. They used an after market windshield on my car which is why the the rubber gasket is messed up as you can see in the pics I uploaded. Probably used a cheap windshield on my Toyota is why the crack occurred after a few days of replacing it. Safe-Lite technicians are actually like production workers. The more windshield they replace the more pay they get. I will never send my car to Safe-Lite ever again! I hope my insurance company will change their car window contract in the future or else I will go to another company who will do detailed work and not ruin a customers busy life especially unsafe driving due to windshield crack!!!!NegativeQuality, Professionalism, Value

Stay away... scheduled an at home windshield replacement. Repair person call me shortly before the scheduled time and canceled due to him having to call out that day. Rescheduled for the following day for me to come for an on-site replacement. When I arrived, waited then the receptionist and a lady that said she was "one of the Managers" informed me they had the wrong windshield on the order and that they can get the right one from the warehouse and reschedule me in the coming days. She further stated that they never get the right windshield when they pul the VIN on a Mercedes Benz...please note they never inquired on what Model I had....I had to interrupt their flailing and finger pointing to the insurance company to tell them the Model....very unprofessional and frustrating them making excuses rather than get the right info to proceed. They then told me that the service tech had examined my car and and got the info he need...I asked when did he do that? I told her noone looked at my vehicle...She replied he took it around back and checked it out...I replied..."That didn't happen...as my vehicle is parked directly in front of the glass doors; directly in my line of sight and theirs. Not mention the keys were in my possession, they very argumentative ...totally unprofessional. Needless to say my frustration turned to being pissed, I told her nevermind, forget it...I will not be coming here again...this so called manager made a snide and insulting comment...like we'll go..."Take it to "BOO BOOs" glass repair!!! I left muttering this BS. She asked another customer "what he say"? I went back in told her directly this was "BULLSHIT ". Whoever "Boo Boos" glass repair is....she needs to go see if they are hiring or maybe she worked there before. Safelite isn't the only game in town! .

Shout out to the technician Elvin at the Safelite in Orange Park!!! I had an appointment for 8-12AM and he got here at 7:24AM with pep in his step! Love to see the initiative, and the customer contact was just wonderful! He let me know when he was almost here and kept me informed the whole time! He came with a smile on his face and did good honest work! I have a 2017 Ford Escape and they had a windshield that fit my car perfectly! I appreciate the integrity of Mr. Elvin and he was very honest about the fact that my windshield molding could be further damaged in the process of replacing my windshield as my car was previously owned and they were pretty beat up before he ever touched them. They did chip a bit but he had already discussed and educated me prior to beginning his work so no issues there! Again, the initiative and integrity and overall honesty to inform clients of issues like that brings clients back for years ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5-stars all the way!!!! The service was quick and Elvin made sure it was TIDY! Yes, there are a few spots where there is dirt on the fabric roofing on the inside as some others have mentioned, but I understand that just comes with the territory when technicians needing to manually get up under the hood where the dirty engine is housed to get the perfect alignment. I am so grateful for technicians! Anyways, for those who are concerned about a bit of dirt I am pretty positive that little bit of dirt can come out with some dawn dish soap or fabric cleaner😉! I had the pleasure of watching Elvin tidy up each of my windows like 7 times! Talk about 5-star service! Beautiful work, Elvin is surely an asset to the Safelite team! I would 1000% love to work with Mr. Elvin again if need be!!! I am so happy to be able to drive my car again!!!! Thank you Safelite!!!!!!!

Took the day off work... They called the day before to verify the appointment at 11... all is good to go. The day of the repair at 1:00 no contact from the tech so we called them and the lady said it looks like the tech will be arriving between 1 and 6. OK so we wait longer at the house.... 3:00 comes and Safelite contacts us saying they see a claim but don't have an appointment and wanted to schedule an appointment... we informed her we do have an appointment and explained everything previously mentioned. She stated she would look into it and call us back. 4:00 comes around she called us back stating excise #1 the claim was not verified however the tech has the glass on the truck, excuse #2 the teach is gone for the day, excuse #3 we don't have an enclosed/covered area the tech can perform the repair with a minimum clearance on each side of the vehicle, excuse #4 our insurance never verified. (Fun fact we had our insurance company on another phone stating the claim was verified and clear for the repair). I believe the Safelite receptionist name was Heather.... BEWARE and ready for excuses and lack of communication, loose time from your personal life for a job to never get done! NEVER AGAIN, DO NOT USE THEM they are literally a waist of time. Not to mention there are way better Auto glass repair companies out there that are mobile and can do recalibration and everything at the convenience of your location saving you time, travel, and loss of work! DO NOT USE SAFELITE

If you care about your vehicle, pick a different glass installer. The tech was very nice, professional, and quick. He chipped the plastic trim around the windshield during removal. It’s a bummer but not a big deal, I expect any car will have some damage when taking out the glass. He said the plastic on my 2016 was too dry rotted and brittle. He forgot a tool inside the car but promptly came and picked it up when I let him know. Hours later when I finally got in my car, I found he did not align the wipers during reinstallation… instead they slammed down into the edge of my hood, chipping off the paint. Cant take the car anywhere because the whole time the car is on, the wipers are trying to go down, the metal hitting against the hood over and over again. So now I get to take my wipers apart and align them properly. This is a very simple thing that every installer should know. There is a clear lack of attention to detail and I assume a lack of training for the techs. Cant help but feel my car was left more damaged than before the “repair”. I may have a new windshield, but now i also have tore up trim (not a big deal) and a large paint chip across the edge of my hood (i think thats a big deal). If you have a newer/expensive car, DO NOT go here. If you dont care about the trim and paint around your windshield, then sign up for Safelite. Teach your techs to realign the wipers to avoid unnecessary damage to customer vehicles, wasting customer time, and poor google reviews.

Outstanding Windshield Installation by Lavar – A True Professional! I recently had the pleasure of having my windshield replaced, and I cannot say enough good things about the experience—thanks entirely to the exceptional work of the technician, Lavar. From the moment he arrived, Lavar was professional, courteous, and clearly an expert at what he does. He took the time to explain the process, answered all my questions with patience, and treated my vehicle with the utmost care and respect. What truly impressed me was his attention to detail. Every step—from removing the old glass to installing the new one—was done with precision and efficiency. The final result was flawless: no smudges, no scratches, perfectly aligned, and sealed like it came straight from the factory. Lavar’s commitment to quality and customer satisfaction sets a high bar. It’s rare these days to come across a technician who not only excels in their craft but also genuinely cares about doing the job right. I left this experience feeling completely confident in the integrity of the installation and safe behind the wheel. If you ever need a windshield replaced or repaired, ask for Lavar. He’s not just a technician—he’s an artist in auto glass. Five stars all the way!

The tech Joshua broke the glass as he was installing and damaged the rubber sealant that secures the windshield. It looks like someone butchered the sealant. Also, there is seal sticking out in the inside of my car. It was an extremely sloppy job. He stated that he scheduled another appointment for Monday from 8am-12pm. When I called to follow up because I never received a text the lady on the phone was extremely rude and stated I didn’t have an appointment. She cut me off when I was asking a question. Then when I spoke to the gentleman at the local office he informed me that I was not scheduled and did not have anything for Monday morning (he was very nice and trying to be helpful). I explained to him that my husband took off for this designated time due to him calling and confirming with the number listed. He was very apologetic but explained that he didn’t have an opening for the morning. I asked for a supervisor and he provided me with the supervisor, Heather’s direct number. He explained that she was in the office and would answer. Needless to say she didn’t answer at all. I would NEVER recommend Safeflite moving forward to anyone. They have no respect for one’s time or belongings.

RUN SO FAR AWAY!! ZERO STARZ from me and they have over 1800 complaints on the Better Business Bureau website. Safelite caused $5000 worth of damage to our vehicle and refused to ever actually fix the damage they caused and now refuses to pay for use to have it correctly repaired at a body shop. Now, the damage they caused has resulted in further damage to our vehicle. They have ignored the letters from our attorneys. Even when the 5.5-foot trim was about to blow off AGAIN while I was driving, they claimed it was a quality job. This company and location are fraud. They lie, deflect, and seriously damage people's vehicles. We were told by the horrible manager, Heather, that we should have just let the piece of trim fly off while we were driving AGAIN. Just know that when they break your vehicle, they will 'smoke and mirror' attempts to fix it, but in reality, they are damaging it further. Now I am driving around with preservation tape holding this trim to my vehicle while trying to determine how to afford to get it fixed. You have been warned.

I had my 2018 BMW windshield repaired in December and a few days ago one of the chips got a crack straight through it. I called to set up a warranty repair and they ordered the windshield. The VIN and all other info was in the system from the previous repair. The tech showed up today and the wrong glass was ordered. I specifically told the agent when I set up the appt that I was going on a 3-1/2 road trip today and this crack is straight through my line of sight in the vehicle and it had to be fixed as it was a safety concern. Now I have to make the trip both ways with a 3 foot long crack right in my vision because the wrong glass was ordered. To top it off, he said it was not set up as a warranty repair so he had to have them do that also. So a failed repair, wrong glass, and not entered correctly in the first place. What kind of business is Safelite? I thought it was a top notch glass repair company but I am finding out it is not.

The technician was late first. Then he was on his phone for personal use the whole time and when I tried to ask some questions he just gave me this look like I'm on the phone your bothering me and did not speak to me.Terrible customer service...then he says I'm done and leaves. The next day I go to drive it and its making loud tapping sounds and one of my printed trim pieces is flapping. I pulled over and noticed over half my plastic push tabs were not put back in my cowl including the ones that hold my painted trim piece. I have to go to the store now because of a loud tapping sound that started after they replaced my winshield. I wouldn't use them again at all terrible technicians and customer service period maybe if he wasn't on his phone he could have done a better job on my car. Use at your own risk I have used local glass companies in the past and I should have again much better customer service and quality of work.
