AMB Auto Glass and Window Tint

DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED. It is a two man shop so no wonder they don't have ethics training! I had to fix a flat tire after I left my car with them for a regular tinting job. To make it even worse the guy with beard and strong accent claimed it is my problem. How could that be?! I did NOT have any issues with tire pressure until my car was in their hand for 24 hours. Who the heck know what had they done with my car in that 24 hrs if this two men has no work ethics? LOL now the shop left a response blaming me again as a fake review. Martin is the best!! Wife got a new white Tesla Model 3 and wanted all the sides and that humongous rear hatch glass tinted at the best place in San Diego. Did tons of research and inquired to about 10 places and AMB was one of the few places where their reviews on Google, Facebook and Yelp were top notch whereas other tint shops would have good reviews on one site and not so good on the other. I sent AMB a message on their website on the page with lots of good info and pics on particularly Tesla car tinting. Within a few hours, Martin sent me a clear detailed pricing breakdown and what brand of tint film and features you can get in the email. They use industry leading brand by the way manufactured by Eastman which the company has been around for over 100 years and it’s super high quality tint film at a very reasonable price from AMB. Other tint shops replied back asking for me to call them or their prices were much higher. What’s the point of messaging if they want me to call them I thought. I confirmed my appointment with Martin, who accommodated me and got me in a week earlier because I would be leaving out of town that week and I wanted to make sure my wife gets the coolest (heh) and sickest looking Model 3 among the sea of white Model 3’s in So Cal and of course with the added benefits of uv blocking for better skin and more range on the battery due to using less AC. I showed up to the shop on the day of the appointment with my toddler and Martin was super friendly and running the whole show in his shop. What I mean by that is he made sure my toddler was comfortable and happy by giving us the remote to the big screen tv so we can watch kid friendly programs and even handed us the remote to the AC cuz the toddler thought it was too cold. I was scheduled to finish by 5 pm but Martin got it completed by 2 pmish and made sure I was happy with it by looking at the finished tint together. Let’s just say I got that tingly feeling again when you first gaze at ur new car at the car dealership or Tesla showroom. When I took home the car that day, I felt mission accomplished because I absolutely wanted to make sure my wife was taken care of. She loved it and was thrilled with the finished product which makes me so happy. I am grateful for great shop owners and shops like AMB Auto Glass and Window Tint to be in sunny San Diego and thank you Martin for the awesome experience and increasing the cool factor of the Model 3!

**2 year update** A bit over 2 years later, the car looks a lot different but the tint looks exactly the same which -if you don't know tint- is exactly what you want. Excellent work and excellent product!** **Original Review** Absolutely fantastic experience; tinted 6 windows + windshield strip with 20% Pearl Black ceramic film. Took a bit longer than expected, but listen: tint is finicky (I know, I've done it myself on a majority of my vehicles), and I'd MUCH rather a company take the time to do it right than try to rush through it. End product looks amazing, employees are friendly and knowledgeable, and total cost was significantly less than I was expecting, with a lifetime warranty too... win/win all the way around. Took my van there for nano ceramic tint all around. They carry Llumar IRX and Air80 high quality nano ceramic tint and charge a reasonable rate compared to other shops that carry the Llumar line. Not all tints are created equal and doing research Llumar is the best. My van looks great and it stays cool even in the heat. I also brought my Honda Accord for a tint correction (done by a previous shop in LA 10 years ago) on the rear window. I did however find some bubbles 5 days post application of the tint correction. Gave them a call to get it fixed. They asked for photos and scheduled a correction for those as well. They ended up redoing the whole tint correction for free. I would take all my cars here for any tint work and refer all friends and family to this shop.

Brought my 2024 in for tints and somehow during the process of tinting my car they managed to damage a side pillar, told me it was “wiped” and ended up looking like this. They offered to order a replacement part and swap it but I would have to bring my car back again to have it fixed. I figured it’s easier than trying to get an appointment at a dealership, cheaper, and less of a headache for all parties. Wasn’t even offered an apology and was still charged the full price for the tint job despite having to bring my car back a few days later for them to fix their mistake. Nice of them to consider what my time is worth. Went with this shop because of how great reviews were and left extremely disappointed.

Just got a new EV but because they were in short supply I couldn't get it pretty tinted. Found this place on Google. They did not disappoint!! They were great to work with even after I totally forgot my appointment. The rescheduled me right away for the same day. I think the nice gentleman even stayed late to get it done I felt the price was great for the quality level of tint I chose. It looks fantastic and I'm very happy. I get the vibe that this is a family business and glad to support a small operation. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a tint done to a vehicle. I've brought 3 vehicles here ranging from a car, suv and truck (been coming back with ceramic tint install). To my amaze, it was done very quick and great install as always. 3 times says a lot and they use top quality ceramic tint. They showed me a meter that measures the UV that comes in between stock window and with tint, and I was astonished with the result. They are very accommodating and very professional. Great service. Recently had my ceramic tint done by AMB. Martin was my contact, and he was very knowledgeable on his product and service. Tint looks great and seems to keep my car quite a bit cooler with the ceramic tint. They also cleaned up my headlights that were a bit hazy. The headlights came out great as well. He assured me that they also apply a clear coat to the headlights so they will be clear for a long time, and not just haze up again in the next few months. Martin and his team did a wonderful job on my new car. I've never tinted a car of mine before and had some (probably) pretty stupid questions, but Martin explained things easily and made the process very simple. He also managed to accomodate me and my schedule as giving up my car for a day would be a challenge because of my work schedule. He was able to complete my car in less than 5 hours from the time I dropped the car off to the time I picked it up. We had our windows tinted using AMB. When we first were looking for a place and getting quotes, they were one of the only places to respond. I went in to speak with them before scheduling an appointment. They were incredibly polite, helpful, and really excelled in customer service. Informed me of the product warranty, so I knew it was a quality product and if bubbles or issues ever occur anywhere in the nation, it will be fixed.
