Went to the DMV on a Saturday to register my ride. Come to find out that the agent that was helping me couldn’t verify my VIN due to the glue from the Windshield covering it up! my options were to remove the windshield and tear off the excess glue that was blocking my VIN or bang it with a flat head and a hammer! I spent 30mins trying to scrape the glue off, but nothing worked. The only option I had left was to remove the windshield and scrape the glue off then reinstall the windshield, but being charged a full windshield replacement. It was a Saturday and every Windshield company was either closed or was booked out till the next week. After numerous attempts I finally came across “A” Auto Glass! I Called Vick and explained my situation and he drove out to where I was. He removed my windshield in the DMV parking lot and removed the glue that was blocking my VIN number and reinstalled my windshield like a pro! All by himself! Honestly, I was super impressed! Vic(k) buys his glass from In and Out, where I should have gone in the first place. I called Vic because he had good reviews; unfortunately my experience with him was not good. He was late in arriving, his credit card processor did not work (forcing me to drive to In and Out, negating the whole reason for a mobile installer in the first place), he left a ton of glass inside my car (which he did offer later to finish vacuuming), my door makes a weird clack sound when closing (which may or may not be his fault), an interior trim piece by the door handle is out of alignment and -two months later- I am *still* removing pieces of glass that fall from my door when I close it. Why? Hopefully you will have better luck with him but to play it safe I recommend going to In and Out instead.

I went with Cosmo Auto Glass because they offered the soonest service on a holiday weekend. Their communication was straightforward and simple ( no online scheduling or voice mail boxes as I encountered with others in the area). They offered, even insisted to complete the glass replacement at my address, which was very convenient. They were quick and friendly the whole time. I’m docking one star because they were unable to vacuum the broken glass from the car, which they explained was a temporary problem. I mostly wish they had told me that upfront (and wish that I had asked) so I knew that I would need to do another step.

Vick helped us last minute. My car had just been broken into. He planned to come in an hour to us. But was a little late. From start to finish the job went quick without incident. He was cool and down to earth. We got to talking about a lot of Ethiopian culture. Later we found out that the real reason he was late was because he had to go to San Francisco to get the right window for my car. This is who you wanna call. I called this morning and in 30 minutes they were working on my broken passenger window (fortunately they had the right glass on hand, though I have heard that they will go to great lengths to acquire the right glass for your specific specs). In less than an hour the job was done. Very nice guy, and the price was Very reasonable. They’re mobile, too, so they can meet you where you’re at. So happy with the results, too.

Unfortunately I have to call a guy to fix windows on my and my wife’s cars more than once. Fikre HOOKS me up! He gets where I am fast, has the right glass and installs the glass quickly and efficiently! He vacuumed well enough for me to put my daughter in the car. He even came to my workplace and got the glass fixed before my lunch break. Good dude, quality work, great attitude, what more can you ask for?

Fikre was excellent - communicative, prompt, and did a great job on our car. We had our rear window smashed in our Rav4 and desperately needed it replaced ASAP because of the rain and needing to use the car. Somebody in Oakland broke my passenger back car window on Saturday night. Vic in Oakland was there to fix it on Sunday which is when most businesses are closed. He was friendly and professional, as I had to wait for another person before me. After he replaced the window, he vacuumed the broken glass and cleaned the window.
