AAsaferide Windshield Repair

I contacted AA Saferide Windshield Repair to get my windshield fully replaced. They were able to help me and a team was sent out same day, and they replaced my windshield. However, there was some strange stuff going on making me unsure if this business actually provides legitimate services. When I called AA Saferide and spoke to Dallas, he gave me a quote of $490. I also had to pay a deposit of $95. However, I noticed something strange. The team/truck that came to me was from "Auto Glass Warehouse" in San Rafael, and the remaining $395 went to them, rather than AAsaferide. I'm pretty sure that all Dallas did was make a phone call to Auto Glass Warehouse on my behalf and charge me $95 for that. I could have just done that myself. EDIT: Dallas reached out to directly and explained that outsourcing jobs to shops they work closely with is very common to complete heavy workloads. While I can see how that can be true, I think I could have saved myself some money by reaching out to those shops directly rather than using AAsaferide as a middle-man. EDIT 2: The glass they used was not compatible with my car's lane keeping assist sensor, even though they verbally assured me that it was. As a result, my lane keeping assist feature no longer works. I set up an appointment for them to take another look and they never showed up. Updating my review from 3-stars to 1-star.

I appreciate the customer service! I was upset after my window was broken while working out at the gym. They assessed the type of window that was right for my Jeep and ordered it the next morning. I was able to get my window fixed while dealing with my busy schedule at work. Looks brand new!! The tech was quick and professional. They did a really amazing job! I got really lucky to find Dallas at AAsaferide. Having your car broken into is a stressful event to deal with and I couldn't have worked with a better person to help fix my window. My friends got me all worried because they heard there was a five week waiting period because of how many cars get broken into in the Bay Area, so I was eager to get in the queue right away. Being new to the area, I tried to call the Audi dealership in Oakland first but no one picked up. I reached out to a few places on Google and yelp, but Dallas was the one who responded and called me right away! He was so pro at what he does that he was able to order the part and have a team sent out to me within 36 hours. In fact, he called me back within an hour because he was able to find my part in San Jose and was willing to drive out there and replace my window the same day only for an additional $40! I am so appreciative of this extra step he took because my car was broken into last summer in Portland while I was on road trip and I couldn't find anyone to help me until I got to Seattle. Unfortunately this is a fact of life living in the Bay Area, but if this ever happens again, I know the first person I'd call. Dallas was super nice and I do appreciate promptly being added to calendar. However I was supposed to be first up with a 9am to 10am window which got bumped to an arrival of Jose at 1pm. He did an ok job but added some scratches to my brand new van( see pics ) and left quite a bit of broken glass. Professional feedback: send me a text with the agreed upon price and time window for service. Be on time (or within the window) and if you’re going to be late, communicate that. If felt sketchy sending a deposit to Venmo and then getting charged 10$ extra bucks at install (for taxes?). After getting blipped and robbed it’d be helpful for the installer to explain why he needs my key fob instead of just having me unlock the car for him. Again, overall I’m appreciative but based on the above mentioned, I likely wouldn’t recommend AAsaferide Windshield Repair and that’s why I gave it 2 stars. Hope the business can take the feedback and grow because I really get the feeling Dallas is trying to build a professional business.

Dallas filled in a deep rock chip in the center of my windshield on my brand new car. This penny-sized chip had two cracks forming around it. He was extremely honest and practical with how the chip/crack would look after the repair was done. From the outside, it is hardly noticeable from 6 feet away. However, it is noticeable from the inside looking out. I guess that is to be expected since the inner glass was not damaged and showed a clear view of the damage/resin. Overall, I am completely satisfied with the effort, service, and end result. The price was clear up front, and he accepted multiple forms of payment. If you are looking for a flawless job (like-new appearance), you will not find it here. You are better off spending the hundreds if not a thousand dollars to have your windshield replaced. My car got broken into late last night, and luckily Dallas picked up the phone and got me scheduled for a morning glass replacement. (I called or texted 3 other places I found on Google, and Dallas was the only one who responded.) He was kind and efficient, and his quote was cheaper than I expected! The technician, Jose of Auto Glass Warehouse (seems like AA Saferide outsources, which I don't mind, as long as the job is done as promised and the price was fair!), arrived as promised the next morning, and he replaced the window and vacuumed up the broken glass in about an hour. Jose was also friendly and efficient. An unpleasant situation was basically resolved in about 12 hours. Thanks, Dallas and Jose! EDIT: I called Dallas back about a month after the break-in to request paperwork to submit to my insurance company. He was so prompt to provide it, and very courteous. Thank you again, Dallas, for being so helpful during a really bad situation!

I turned to AA Saferide after Safelite postponed my appointment by more than a week. Everything seemed to be going smoothly with AA Saferide, with a driver scheduled to replace my glass the same day! Unfortunately he showed up with a window for a completely different year of my vehicle. I called the dispatcher, Dallas, to inquire, and he called me a liar, saying I gave him the incorrect year! Dude, I know the year of my car, I've owned it for years! When the technicians finally arrived the following day with the correct glass, my battery had died. They tried to jumpstart me, which I really appreciated Ultimately, the glass replacement was solid, and I'm grateful for the quick turnaround. Unfortunately, I can't overlook Dallas' extremely poor attitude. Note that they charge a fairly decent fee for credit card transactions

AMAZING service by Dallas and his crew. I cannot thank them enough — my truck got broken into a couple of nights ago and I called maybe 7 or 8 places to see if they could find a replacement for one of my side windows on my '00 Land Cruiser. No one could find the window I needed or just flat out said they could not do it, except for Dallas. Even Toyota themselves said it would be about 2 or 3 weeks for me to get my truck fixed, and it would be a hefty price. Dallas took the time to track down the specific window for me and my truck was fixed in one day at a much cheaper cost than Toyota's. Hi, After experiencing my first broken window, I was a bit flustered on how to get this fixed quickly. Being it on a holiday weekend, I was worried on how long this would take to get fixed. Most places didn't have the item in stock and/or had appointments 2 weeks out! Thank goodness for Dallas' team. After finding them on google, I contact Dallas. Dallas was able to find the glass within a dayand get a mobile technician to come to my residence to replace the broken glass the following day. A rock hit and cracked my windshield. I was preparing to buy a whole new one. I got a couple of quotes for a new windshield and then I came across AA safe ride and Dallas was very helpful. I told him my situation and he was able to save me from buying a new windshield and a few hundred bucks. I also told him that I can wait til he had available appointments if he didn’t have any same day. He told me to prevent it from cracking anymore he would schedule me the day of the call.
