Unfortunately I used Safelite to replace my windshield. The first visit to install at my house the tech broke the new windshield and ruined the inner windshield liner. I was told that the inner liner wasn't available. It was. Just not from their suppliers. I then had 4 more visits to install the new liner or windshield with tint and all 4 times the technicians either didn't bring the liner or have the replacement windshield with the tint. Really poor communication between the shop and the mobile techs. I finally brought the car in to the shop where they installed the windshield with the tint. Unfortunately again they botched the tint job leaving it uneven and with a gap in the top of the tint. They even incorrectly mounted my windshield wipers! When I inquired about correcting the tint I was told their tinting guy would be in later that week and they would give me a call when he was in. That was weeks ago and I haven't heard anything from them. If your considering Safelite for any glass replacement do yourself a favor and consider taking your business elsewhere. Update, the owner said that the Safelite people would get ahold of me and sort this out was a lie. Its been several weeks now and not a peep from the Flagstaff Safelite people. What a joke they are!!

After the technician worked on my windshield, I inspected the work and noticed the windshield cowl cover was broken. I called Safelite Corporate Office immediately and expressed my concern. They took note and I waited for someone to get back to me. However, I never heard from anyone after the initial call (approximately a week). So I went to the shop later and explained the situation with photos as a back up. The receptionist said the manager, which was on vacation, knew what was going on and he’d get back to me. It never happened, so I called the corporate office after waiting two more weeks. They contacted the local flagstaff office and said the manager would get back to me. He eventually called and told me to come in so we could compare photos. As I showed him my photos, I asked about the time stamp, and he noted they were stamped with the Eastern time zone (however, the photos were on a work order form, not from the actual photos taken by the technician, so the time stamp was obviously inaccurate), but as I did the math, it calculated to the time the technician would have been done with my windshield replacement, if their time stamp was accuate. I asked for a copy of the photos, but he said, along with the receptionist, they couldn’t send them, “We don’t know how” followed by, “We can’t.” So our brief meeting concluded with my frustration by the manager saying it was between me, Safelite Corporate office and my insurance company. As I left the their business, I was told directly, “We’re not buying you a cowl cover.” I was upset, frustrated, aggravated, to say the least, because my photos showed what I was trying to prove and dispute, but the manager was adamant I was in the wrong.

The technician did a great job replacing my windshield and was very friendly. I signed up for an afternoon time slot which said my car needed to be available from 12pm to 5pm. The technician arrived at 5:30pm and apologized for the delay. It took about an hour to replace the windshield and was told that I needed to wait until 7pm to use the car. The 12pm-5pm time slot felt misleading. I also felt that a seven hour window of not being able to use my car for the mobile service was extremely inconvenient and unnecessary. When I gave the feedback in person and through two surveys Safelite sent me, I never received any follow up on the concerns.

UPDATE: Have responded as requested below, and still have yet to hear back. I’ll go ahead and take care of it myself, nothing like adding 300+ extra, out of pocket to the already, overpriced window replacement. Thanks! I had my driver side window replaced, after replacement I found the door panel not securing to door properly. I brought it up with the technician while he was buying fuel line at my work, for a small engine of some sort. Door panel ended up getting attached to door with silicone, and it did not hold. Later on, my door panel got caught on the weather strip again, while opening the door; the panel broke in half. I went into their shop, showed them the damage and was promised a call back for some sort of repair. Never to hear back from them- would not recommend their service, overpriced for work performed and to have no accountability? Don’t bother-NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Don’t bother if you have a newer vehicle with advanced safety camera behind the windshield. I took my 2020 Subaru Outback in for a windshield replacement where they guaranteed me they could get the cameras recalibrated which needs to be done after a windshield replacement. They weren’t able to do it the first time and called it to be a defective windshield. I went in a second time to have another windshield installed and again they were not able to recalibrate the cameras. They referred me to Subaru service where they said I wouldn’t have to pay out of pocket and that they’d send over billing info to be billed by Subaru. Unsurprisingly, Subaru had no idea of the issue. I tried getting ahold of somebody at Safelite and nobody is any help whatsoever. At the end of the day, I had to pay for the windshield replacement and a separate charge on top of it for Subaru to recalibrate the cameras. Lesson learned, please take my advice and don’t go to Safelite if you have a newer vehicle. From what I hear this is business as usual for them. Either go to your vehicle service center or a local glass shop. Don’t waste your time with Safelite.

Pros: It took a month but the job was finally completed by Sam who was great. (Hence the 2 stars) Cons: My wife's car which is only 6 months old needed to have the windshield replaced after a failed chip repair. The initial repair tech broke the clips on both the corners moldings and gouged the front cowl. There was no communication about the damage when the car was returned. The parts which cost over 500 dollars had to be ordered multiple times and felt like I was getting the run around since I had to keep pressing them to fix it. I cannot recommend this company
