3 stars because this was neither bad nor above and beyond. Solid service. Safelite is convenient because they have locations everywhere. From what I read, they use NHTSA/DOT compliant glass, and you can also opt for factory-standard glass at a premium. I have an old truck, and they completed the job in about 35 to 40 minutes. It was hot and humid, so I decided to go to their location instead of having a technician come out for a mobile replacement. Overall, I am happy with the service. However, it would have been nice to receive a tour of the windshield, an explanation of what to look out for at the car (did get one over the counter and you do get a video), and information about the large 1/4+ inch gaps around the weathering strips (?). That would probably improve reviews even more. The two staff members seemed to have a "drop it off, pick it up, we do our jobs, don't talk to us" attitude, which I can respect. Little more service to make the install successful after the car leaves the lot would be helpful. And, not too much to ask. They get paid and one ventures not to be on their phone or be social. Overall, I am satisfied. The gaps are a downside. I doubt there will be water intrusion, but my car is off-road and outside a lot, so there's always mud and dust around. I did notice plastic all over the dashboard and mid-console, as well as a black mark on the A-pillar. In an old truck like mine with mud and dust all over this is fine, but if this were a new car, I would already be back there with a complaint.

The service was fine. The communication was awful. Everything is automated. When you call the local shop, you are routed thru a national call center. You cannot reach the local shop thru the call center or by text or email. I dropped my car off the night before service. I was told there were envelopes to fill out by the key drop. There were none. The next day I receive multiple texts reminding me of my appointment (one said 730. One said 930) when the car is already be in their possession., which leads me to believe there was an issue with dropping off my key. I spent almost an hour trying to reach the shop to make sure everything was ok. One text said I would be periodically informed of progress by my tech. Nothing came until the end of the day telling me I could pick up my car. Thats where I finally got a different local number to call. They close at 500pm and got texts later that evening telling me not to drive the car until after 515pm and at 830pm telling me the calibration of my window was almost complete. Their attempt to save time and money by using automated communications results in terrible customer service.it was very frustrating.

First let’s establish that my windshield was badly cracked due to a recent hailstorm. (The damage was was right down the middle and across both sides of the windshield). My appointment was originally scheduled for Tuesday the 20th and was to be done at my home. The day of my appointment, it was raining so the tech called me to say he could pick up my vehicle from my home and do the repairs at their shop. He later called me back to say their shop was too busy for him to do that. I was advised to reschedule so I rescheduled for Saturday, the 24th. This was four days later and I changed the location to their Safelite Auto Shop. The DAY OF MY APPOINTMENT, ON THE WAY TO THEIR SHOP, I was told that all the parts needed to repair my windshield properly had not come in yet. (I’m thinking WHAT???) I explained that this can’t be correct because your repair tech was going to do the repair on Tuesday of that week and he never said that. I was told that this is the problem, and the parts are probably still with the tech on his van and it’s his day off. After arriving to the Safelite Auto Shop, we were again confronted with the statement, the parts needed to repair my windshield are not on site and they are trying to reach the repair tech but he’s not answering the phone. Long story short, I left my vehicle with the shop and explained that they need to find a way to reach their tech and fix my windshield like they should have last Tuesday when I originally scheduled and paid for the repair in advance. Although it took hours longer than it should have, I am happy to relay that they found their repair tech, had him bring them the missing parts from his van and ultimately repaired my windshield. My biggest complaint is that they should have discovered this issue DAYS BEFORE my appointment. After I rescheduled for an on-site repair, the part should have been taken to their shop but that did not happen and wasn’t even realized by their staff until I was on my way to their shop. That’s not acceptable but I am glad they eventually worked it out and especially since Monday was a holiday. I hope they will treat their customers better going forward.

Safelite quoted me 2-3 hours to complete my windshield, and said expect at least 3 hours. Then had the audacity to finish my car in just an hour. Not only were they extremely fast, and my windshield repair was excellent, but they were also extremely kind, courteous, gave constant follow ups, even after my service was finished, to remind me when I can take tape off if there was any on still, and that my cameras had been calibrated. Then, when I made a request to switch my payment from out of pocket to going through insurance, they were able to accommodate with absolutely no issues. In other words, Safelite in Kenosha was exceptional from start to finish and even after. Amazing service and care, extremely warm, genuine and professional. I can not recommend Safelite of Kenosha more. Amazing service, care and quality work! Thank you Safelite!

Exceptional Service from SafeLite – Francisco and Moriah Went Above and Beyond! I recently visited SafeLite to get my windshield replaced, and I am beyond impressed with the service I received. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. First off, Francisco, the technician who worked on my car, was outstanding. Not only was he professional, knowledgeable, and thorough, but he also went the extra mile by pointing out a small defect in the new windshield before I even noticed it. He immediately brought it to my attention, making sure I was informed. I truly appreciated his honesty and attention to detail. Francisco worked with Moriah, the store manager, to ensure the issue was properly addressed. Moriah was fantastic as well. She handled the situation with ease and professionalism, making sure I felt confident that the defect would be resolved quickly. It’s rare to see such dedication to customer satisfaction, and both Francisco and Moriah exceeded my expectations in handling the situation. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my experience at SafeLite. If you’re looking for top-notch service and professionals who go the extra mile, this is the place to go! Highly recommend Francisco, Moriah, and the whole team!

The scheduling, drop off, pickup and price were all as I expected. The new windshield looks great. However, I also had a rain sensor replaced as well. It is behind the rear mirror and if is supposed to be encased in gel. The rain sensor is not working in the rain and would come on at random times when it was not raining. That's when I noticed that there were giant air bubbles in the gel. Like other reviewers I had a very difficult time contacting them by phone and talking to a actual person. I called the number for the local shop and it said it was transferring me to a representative. However it appeared to send me to the corporate office and the automated service asked the same questions and asked if I wanted to schedule a warranty appointment. Now my concern is that the appointment is next Friday and there's nowhere for me to leave any information about what is actually wrong with my windshield and because I can't get a hold of a real person, I'm very concerned that I'll come in next Friday and they'll realize they have to order a part and I'll have to come back for a third time! This is not good customer service by any definition. I'll update after next Friday.ServicesAuto windshield replacement
