Don’t waste your time with these people. I was in the process of making an appointment online and called the shop to ask if they had my windshield in stock before I made the appointment and traveled there. The girl that answers the phone tell me she doesn’t know if they have my windshield. Then said she needs the part number to find out. Evidently VIN number or year/make/model isn’t enough. How the hell am I supposed to know the part number of the windshield? If I was the “expert” on windshields I wouldn’t be calling this place to ask questions and get the glass replaced. Chances are these people aren’t experts they claim to be but what did you expect for the big corporate company I guess. I’ll call the local guys, maybe they’ll have better customer service and knowledge.

what is purpose of the appointments when they are going to work on it whenever they’re feeling like it? My Initial service appointment for windshield replacement scheduled on Thursday 1:30 PM. They somehow couldn’t finish the “recalibration” on same day so rescheduled me for Saturday morning at 9:30 AM then told me “it shouldn’t take more than 3 hours at the latest, should be done by 12pm or little earlier if you drop it off earliest as possible by 7:30 AM” So I dropped off at 7:30AM. Time passed to 12PM and I didn’t get any update so I decided to call. I couldn’t get any update so I decided to walk in to the store. Surprisingly my vehicle wasn’t even being touched and employee at the counter told me “it might or might not get it done by today. It will be looked if there is no other work to do. Your car is not on priority list, so wait or your next available appointment is Thursday at 8 AM” I was like wtf??? I strongly argued then they agreed to get it done by end of the day and they finally got it done at 3PM. I immediately went there to pick up my vehicle, there was same employee named Devonte? sitting there with AirPods texting on his phone totally ignoring me until I said I’m here to pick up my vehicle. Then he slowly stands up and walking around like he lost something. Going to the shop, outside, talking with his coworkers then after another wasting of time, I was finally able to pay and drive off with my vehicle. What is going on with this place? I feel bad for branch manager Travis who is always super nice and super helpful but those employees simply don’t care and seem to be hating their job.

This was an insurance claim to replace my windshield. I had originally posted a glowing review regarding the ease of the entire process. While the windshield replacement seems to be alright, they used defective parts or broke parts during the installation of my wipers. Two days ago, I was brushing snow off my vehicle. And the passenger side wiper simply flew off with the snow! I have replaced the wipers on my vehicle dozens of times and never had this problem. Upon closer inspection, the retaining tab was either busted off during installation or was defective and did not have one. The vehicle has not been driven much at all since the installation. But this is not my chief complaint. My complaint is that one can not reach the Northern Lights franchise in Anchorage other than going there! I have tried numerous phone calls and texts. Everytime, I am kicked to an automated system that is garbage at best, and intentionally deceptive at worst! While I can not speak to the company's national standing, I WOULD NOT reccomend this particular location.

Excellent workmanship, speedy and accommodating. Everybody here seems to be happy with their job. I had my back window broken out by somebody and was able to get it replaced the same day it happened. At first they didn't want to do it, sighting extra RTV around the window as a liability, but after explaining that I live 6 hours away and can't be missing a window for two months, they made an exception when I agreed to not hold them liable if there was underlying body damage or rust that would prevent them from installing the new window. It all worked out in the end and they finished an hour ahead of schedule. Appriciate it fellas

The first replacement windshield was warped. When I took it in to have the windshield fixed, they broke my mirror cover, which now dangles from the ceiling and impacts visibility. When I asked them to fix the cover, they glued it rather than replacing it causing further damage to it. I have now been dealing with this problem for over 2 months. They claimed to order the part, but it disappeared and there has been zero communication. Clearly disinterested in fixing a problem that they created. The automated phone system never leads to the store or a real person, which means I have to go in person every time only for them to have no solution. Shop local instead.

We discovered that a vertical crack had developed in the windshield of our rented minivan after it had sat in a parking lot for two days. We did not want to return the van to the rental company and pay extra for a repair or the down time to the van; we also didn't want to run it through our insurance company and risk increasing our rates. We called Safelite and scheduled an appointment for the day before we were to fly out. When we arrived, we found that the phone rep had scheduled a fill rather than a repair. Even so, the manager and his assistant were ready to help us with the replacement, even given our time frame. Then the manager inspected the crack and found it was a defective windshield, so we'd not be charged at all! Even better, he called his contact at the rental company and made arrangements to schedule the replacement after we left. We were stressed when we arrived at Safelite, but left so happy with the outcome. Safelite really went above and beyond to help us out, all the while staying positive and friendly.
