I picked up my car and the fist thing I noticed was my cowl was not installed properly. They came out and pulled it back into the shop where they tried to fix it. when they said they were done, the cowl was now very warped and trim was still loose. I was just told it was like that from the sun but I know how my car looked before this. I also noticed many new scratches all over my car which they told me was my fault. They said I taped the broken glass on the car. I can understand that on a flat surface like the trunk lid but not the quarter panel and bumper. On the interior they got my headliner dirty and left a ton of broken glass all over the inside. This is the first and last time I will ever use safelite!

SAFELITE DAMAGED MY CAR, LIED TO ME, AND TRIED TO COVER IT UP. Plain and simple. Needless to say, only go to this location if you are fine paying for their damages to your car and want to be yelled at and lied to. Sounds fun right? Let’s get into it. The short version: One of the technicians from Safelite hit another car with mine and tried to cover it up. I dropped my car off in the morning, parked right in front of their building with no scratch on the front left bumper. When I arrive to pick up my car, I immediately notice the scratch on the front of my car, it’s very obvious. The photo without the scratch was taken over a week ago, and the one with the scratch was taken in the Safelite parking lot. The long version: Of course, I ask them about the mark because it wasn’t there when I dropped it off. Mistakes happen and it doesn’t look like a ton of damage, I just wanted for them to make things right because this clearly happened when one of their technicians moved my car from the parking lot to the garage. Marks like that, ones on the front left bumper only happen when you are backing out of a spot, turn the wheel too early and hit/scrape another car. This doesn’t happen by a car running into you, not where I was parked. The front of my car facing the store and the technician had to back out, reverse to the right, then go around the building to get to the garage. The EXACT way you would hit this part of the car. It’s not rocket science. Okay, now to the cover up. I ask the technician about the mark. We go to look at it in the parking lot and as soon as he sees it he asks me to follow him to the garage. He pulls up the pre-inspection photos… and what do you know? There’s a photo of my car damaged “before” they touched it. EXCEPT THE PHOTO IS IN THE GARAGE. They had to drive it to get into the garage, where the damage most definitely occurred, then they take photos of the damage they did and said it was “pre-existing damage” and they aren’t liable for it. Insane, right? I may look dumb but I assure you, I am mostly not. So I ask for the manager to help clear things up. Enter the manager… Props to him, because he could win #1 at the gaslighting world championships. This man could cheat on his girlfriend right in front of her, then gaslight her into thinking she’s the problem and she’s lucky to have him. Real piece of work. He tried explaining to me that it was IMPOSSIBLE for his techs to do damage to the car because their district manager was visiting the store this morning. Okay??? He then says, “Grocery stores aren’t liable if a shopping cart hits your car when you are in their parking lot.” Yeah, but the grocery store WOULD be liable if an employee was driving your car and hit a grocery cart with it. Then he went on to say, “We have time-stamped photo evidence that your car was already damaged, it couldn’t have been us!” Oh brother… the picture was taken in the garage after your technician drove it, it most certainly could be them (spoiler, it was them). THEN he says “what would we have even hit? No cars exist that are black AND white?” and “If we hit another car, how come no one else complained about having damage?” and they could have easily hit a tire, which wouldn’t really show damage to the other party’s car, or the other unlucky person simply didn’t notice it. He continued to try and gaslight me until he decided the conversation was over. Of course, they don’t have security cameras, too convenient when you are lying about damaging customer property. I know this damage isn’t insanely bad, but the way the manager treated me and tried to make me feel stupid for damage that happened by one of their employees was very unprofessional and rude. I will be putting in requests for traffic cameras to get as much evidence as I can as I will be pursuing this as far as I can.

TLDR: Took 4 appointments to fix my windshield and they broke a $200 windshield part. First appointment I had with them wasn't their fault, the windshield they had for my car had a manufacturing error, a smudge in between the glass, but they were kind enough to point it out (albeit 30 minutes after I dropped off my car) and reschedule the appointment. Second appointment, a couple months later, there was an insurance mixup so instead of me paying $1500 it was going to be $2400, so we rescheduled for a month later. Third appointment, I told them my story of how I kept having to come back and they assured me everything would get done. After ubering home they call me saying they inputed the wrong car into the system and they had the wrong windshield so I uber back and reschedule the appointment. Fourth appointment everything went smoothly, they even gave me a free wiper blade to cover the cost of my uber BUT I come back home and see they broke a plastic/rubber seal piece on the side of my windshield. I didn’t want to deal with them so I just had it replaced for $200. Car: Land Rover Discovery Sport Distance: 25 minutes away The replacement itself was good, with them transferring the express toll sticker well. Just know you'll waste a lot of time while waiting for them to actually do the job as well as if they break any car piece during the installation, they won't tell you about it.

Got a chip in my windshield, and was able to schedule a repair two days later. When I arrived, the chip was about the width of my pinky finger. The shop person was nice and said it should be less than 30 minutes. After sitting for about 5 minutes, I see them take my car into the bay. 10 minutes later, a worker comes over and says, “you’re all set, and there is no charge today.” I thought maybe it was such a small chip they didn’t charge me. When I got into the car, I noticed the chip was now a crack about 1.5 inches across. I pull out of the shop and less than a block later, the crack has grown to at least a foot across. I immediately return to the shop and I was informed “sometimes that happens” and I will need to get the windshield replaced. Not sure what they did to it, but repair isn’t the right word. Courteous folks there, but definitely not paying money to have them do the replacement.

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION! DO NOT USE SAFELITE AT ALL!!! Had to pick up after hours since they were late.. windshield making sounds, and a broken windshield wiper!! And then when we popped the hood, we found windshield plastic packaging near the engine!!! This was after they were late and I had to come back after hours! Of course they are not opened Sunday for me to resolve this. I will be back first thing Monday morning. No way am I paying for this terrible service- which resulted in broken items, and potentially a fire or worse from melted plastic. WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL?!?! I went back and they fixed the wiper. THEN two weeks later, I had to get a mobil tech to come out to fix a water leak above the driver. THEN there was a huge air leak. And I had to take it to another shop- NOT Safelite . Guess what? The windshield wasn’t even making contact with the car. THIS SHOP IS A JOKE Safelite is a scam

I had an appointment on June 20th for Safelite to come replace my windshield at my house. The window for my appointment was 12pm - 5pm. My technician was Sebastian. Around 4pm, the van showed up. When they called, I answered and they immediately hung up. They drove off and didn’t return any of my calls. I called support who gave me the contact information of the shop manager who also didn’t return my calls. It feels like a scam that you prepay for these services online and then they show up and disregard your time by flaking. Next day update: They rescheduled my appointment to June 24th without contacting me regarding this scheduling change. I received no email, text, or call. I found out by looking up my reservation online. Additionally, they are charging me an additional $75.25 that is not clearly explained. What a pathetic excuse of a business.
