American Auto Glass in Virginia Beach was subcontracted by another company to replace the seal on my motor home windshield. The good thing was that they identified that the windshield could be put back into the existing seal, which saved me quite a bit of money. The bad thing was that while my motor home was in their possession, one of their employees backed up the motor home crashing it into the dumpster across the street and they didn’t tell me. I was “scheduled” to pick it up on a Saturday, was told someone would be there until 2pm. I drove 2 hours, arrived on time by 11am to find that no one was there and their office was locked. Obviously they were avoiding the impending confrontation about the damage to my motor home. A neighboring business owner told me that he witnessed the accident, which had occurred a couple days earlier. After calling their number many times (couldn’t leave a message because their mailbox was full) and waiting for over an hour, I called the police and made an accident report, after which I left and drove 2 hours back home. On Monday, I called and spoke to the woman in the office and then man in charge and as expected they denied everything and made up some story about one of their vehicles being struck and that my motor home must have been struck as well. Such BS! These people have no integrity! In the end it cost $8,000 to repair the damage to my motor home and they wouldn’t even pay my $500 deductible!!!ServicesAuto windshield repair

You won't find a better deal or nicer business owner than Mr. Curtis Horton at American Auto Glass. My new Bronco took a windshield full of rocks thanks to a dump truck with an unsecured load. American Auto Glass was recommended to me by a friend and my friend nailed it. Curtis provided two different options (OEM & Aftermarket) and explained the difference between them. His quote was a fraction of the big box auto glass companies and his customer service was top notch. He actually knew the product versus reading some script and he was able to get me in immediately. Installation/calibration was quick, the product top notch and he is even great conversationalist. If you are in the Greater Hampton Roads area and in need of a windshield give Curtis a ring, you can thank me later. I hope I never need his services again but it's good knowing if I do there is an honest glass company in the area I can depend on.

Terrible experience. Spent months trying to get them to order glass and get an appointment. Were told to come in sometime today and that they would follow up with an address. Never followed up with address or appointment time. Then we received messages that we were late for an 8am appointment and then told not to come in because they can't afford to have guys standing around getting paid while we weren't there. Manager was rude and a complete jerk. Despite the poor communication on their part, their attitude was that we were in the wrong. Do not go to these jokers. Edit after reply from owner: Typical of this business to reply to a negative review 11 months after being posted. They truly don't care about their reputation or their work. Moreover, his description of events is a complete lie. Totally fits with the experience I had.

I have needed American Auto Glass Llc twice this summer- the first time for my drivers side power window which had fallen off the track- They were able to fix that while I waited at their shop. The second time I needed a new windshield for a different vehicle- I had call for a quote which was way less than the other 4 places I called and they came to my home the next day and it was professionally installed in under an hour! Highly Recommended!PositivePunctuality, Quality, Professionalism, ValueServicesAuto power window repair, Auto windshield replacement

First off, they didn’t call about my am appt on a Friday until 3 pm that day. Rescheduled for 9 am on Tuesday and they were in route 1 hr after appt time. Owner did not disclose the 3% upcharge for using a card. This should have been disclosed by the person on the phone or the tech. It’s bad business to not disclose this charge beforehand. It is a big deal especially on such a large purchase as a windshield. I did not look at their website as I had all communication over the phone. Tech Mike did a great job.

Dropped my car off to have the sunroof replaced. It had exploded while driving down the interstate! I was referred here by my dealership so I obviously thought this was a reputable place boyyyyyy was I wrong! The next morning after dropping the car off he calls me at 7:45 am on a Friday mind you to tell me they are about to start working on my window around 3 pm the same day they call me to tell me that the window is in and they had it closed but they opened it again to inspect it and now the window won’t close and he believes the mechanism in the window needs replaced now! Or possibly there is glass in the window track he’s not sure but he doesn’t feel like messing with the mechanism so I need to take it somewhere else to have that fixed!!!!!! Then requested I pay 225 for the glass in the window!!!!! Mind you I just had the dealership do an inspection and detailed the car there was nothing wrong with the mechanism when I dropped it off at this place!!!!!!! So I go to pay and pick my car up and I asked if he had change for a 20 all I I had was 240 he says yes I hand him the money and he hands me 10 bucks change back and says let’s just make it 230 even and sends me on my way!!!!! Extremely unprofessional and disrespectful business!!!!!!!!!!!! Do not waste your time or money!!NegativeQuality, Professionalism, ValueServicesSunroof glass replacement
