Glass Doctor of Tuscaloosa

This company was paid $443.00 to install a broken window at my resident. I called the scheduling receptionist with a question ( she bounced all around with). I wanted to know if the technicians usually carry a mini shop vacuum or a dust buster or something to suction the left over glass residue? She tried to "gaslight the question, so I asked her slowly, She responded with , "well ma'am they can't vacuum your whole house!, I said I didn't need them to vacuum my house period, just the left over residue in the window. She finally said , " yes they do suction the left over residue from inside the window seal, cracks edges or whatever. So I said, well I be dam!, ( not surprised) so I can't get the same treatment as anyone else? I guess BLACK PAYING CUSTOMERS are not entitled to nothing but the bare minimum. Trust and believe I did try find another glass business but couldn't in this area. I'm not surprised just hate I couldn't take my business else where.

Lonnie went above and beyond when replacing the broken pane in my double paned window. Add to that the frame was wooden, not vinyl, and I was impressed he had the carpentry skills needed to remove the frame and put it all back together like nothing had ever happened. Did I mention the poor guy didn't let the rain stop him? Every other quote / company told me I'd need to replace the whole window and I was looking at paying triple what Glass Dr charged me. It's worth mentioning that this company gave me an up front price and time frame and held to both without any hassles or delays. When was the last time a contractor kept their word or came when they said they would not to mention ordered the parts and returned when they said they would. Highly recommend. I won't hesitate to call them should I need another glass service.

Absolutely blown away! I called Safelite because they had done the windshield in my semi truck twice last year for ~$430. Today when I called, they quoted $1665. That was for just the passenger side. I called the Glass Doctor and they quoted ~$300 out the door. I was very skeptical, but I went to their location to verify. I was asked to sit in the waiting room, presumably for a technician to be available. Less than 10min later, a technician came in and said "you're done". I questioned that and even walked outside to my semi to see a brand new windshield already installed. From the time I walked in, to the time I drove off was 11min. I'm absolutely amazed at the speed and quality of service. You have earned a customer for life. My total was $306, tax included. I'm still in shock.

Glass Doctor was super busy when I called and now I see why. All of the people I spoke with on the phone were super courteous and helpful. I had no clue what some of the terminology was when trying to explain my problem, and they were super kind and took the time to educate me without being demeaning. Once they came out, the gentlemen were super polite and got to work immediately. They cleaned up the glass, cleaned up the window, even took care in cleaning up my temporary fix while I waited for them to come out. While it was a bit pricey, it was worth it to have such reliable people who come to you and take care of the clean up AND the repair. Wonderful experience from the beginning. I filled out the online form for a quote and received a call within the next few hours to set up installation. Before I set up the appointment I called three other glass companies in the area. Glass Doctor had the best price by far. And the price was the same at the end as it was when it was quoted. When I arrived at my time they began working to replace the window within 5 minutes. I sat in the waiting room and before I knew it I was out back on the street with new window in 20 minutes. The company is very reliable the person who measured and fitted my broken window was very friendly and precise. He fits the new glass right there in the old frame ,it didnt take long at all. This has been the second time that I have used them to replace a broken window I recommend the Glass doctor to everyone. Also the lady who takes the order on the phone is very friendly and professional, she gave me an instant price . Due to the Pandemic I have had to wait a little longer to get it delivered because of supply problems we are facing in many fields, we all understand this. I’ve been trying to get an estimate and schedule an appointment for over a week only to receive the “run around.” I was hoping to get a window repaired before the weather gets cold. SMH. Good service is hard to find. I originally made the above post about six days ago and gave this company one star. Since then the secretary has reached out to me and was sure to book my appointment. Both windows were repaired and the broken glass was removed. It looks better than ever. I will be calling in the future if I need them again.

While my husband was cutting grass, his back glass got shattered. I called the Glass Doctor at 4:50 (10 minutes until closing) and the sweet lady that answered the phone had him an appointment set up for the next day at 8:00am and his glass that had to be ordered from the warehouse was on the way. I recently moved to the area and driving down the highway a rock cracked my windshield! My insurance had this company listed as a vendor to do a replacement. I am glad I went to them too. Had a vandalism incident on a Saturday evening/Sunday morning and got my car towed to their shop and left my info on their website and got a call that Monday when they opened and got 2 windshields and 1 window replaced same day.
