Went through the hail storm that hit the west side of Madison in the fall of 2016. After a terrible experience at ABRA on the west side of Madison, I went to Dependable CARSTAR in Verona and was treated courteously, professionally, and got a well prepared estimate immediately. I will definitely go here again in the future and would prefer them to do the bodywork by far! (BTW: Went to ABRA on Odana Rd in Madison first. Even though I had an appointment, there were many other people there scheduled at the same time. ABRA lost the hail damage estimate, but never admitted it when I called asking for it 3 times. Long story short, after another unsuccessful trip to ABRA to redo the estimate - who was again overscheduled at the same time as my scheduled appointment - I finally asked my insurance company to direct me someplace else. Hence the much more pleasant experience at Dependable. Even though it is a longer drive to Verona, it would have saved a lot of time to just go there first!)

Really good. Very nice WI people here. This was one of he approved repair shops of my insurance company, Amica (best insurance company). Using a pre-approved shop means I didn't have to worry about bringing a check, rental car taken care of, etc. Should have been a one day deal (bumper replacement). But when the manager inspected it; he found that they had scratched the plastic above the bumper. He called; and said it would take another day but they would make it look like new. They did. They washed this sucker and polished it like never before, never seen it look so good. The rental was old (85,000 miles) and though it had a no smoking sticker; had a faint smell of cigarette smoke. Still five stars; five plus if they get some new loaners. A very good choice. Super nice people.

Had body work done at this shop. The body work itself was fine. But, there was a noise coming from my car prior to repairs done that I was well aware of. They called me to inform me of the noise coming from the other-side of the vehicle (not covered under my insurance claim). I declined the service as the noise was infrequent and subtle. Upon receiving my vehicle back, the 'unrelated' noise was suddenly much louder and much more frequent. Not sure what was done, but if the wheel realignment caused this issue to worsen, it should fall back on the shop to return the vehicle to the state it was dropped off in. Update: Mark Gerber reached out to me and performed diagnostics on my vehicle free of charge. Thanks for making going out of your way to do this for me!

I was shopping for a used car, and found one for a good price—BUT it had been in a previous accident. I asked my trusted mechanic for a reference to a good collision repair specialist, and he instantly recommended CARSTAR in Verona. I’m so glad I took his recommendation. The CARSTAR mechanic was extremely thorough, showed me details photographs of the areas of the vehicle that were of concern, checked all the “usual” items along with the structural check I really was concerned about. It made all the difference in my decision, and he was super helpful answering all questions that I had about his report as well. I recently had some rust repaired that wrapped around my door. It was fairly involved, and the door seal had to be replaced. They did an excellent job. I can't even tell there was any rust there. Also, they replaced my windshield. Perfectly done. No leaks. Finally, my exhaust system was rusted out right after the catalytic converter. They were able to weld in a new peice of pipe without having to replace anything. I expected to spend $600 on exhaust work, and only spent $165. Things took a bit longer than anticipated, so they gave me a free rental car. They kept me updated by phone every step of the way, and didn't start any work until I approved it. Courteous and knowledgeable. I would do business there again.

I came in to get an insurance estimate. I made it clear that I was debating whether to file a claim or do the repairs myself so I wanted to know everything that should be fixed. I was told that he would look at it and if he missed something that he'd just add it to insurance during repairs. I reiterated my previous statement. I felt like the car was given a very cursury look. I got 3 estimates for the repairs. The other two estimates were $1800; and $1900 (pretty close) while Carstar was around $800 and didn't account for several things needing work that both other estimates caught. If I would have gone off Carstar's estimate and done the repairs myself, I would have been out a considerable amount of money.

Dependable CARSTAR rocks! I've had my car serviced by them a number of times and they've been fantastic. I've only experienced one mistake, electrical system wasn't reassembled appropriately I believe. No problem though! It was addressed efficiently and transparently, at not cost to me. I'm about to take a used car I'm looking to purchase in to them for a third party inspection. Highly recommend. Also, give them a Google review when you're done! From the estimate to the finish of the vehicle our service was great. The car was deemed totaled by other body shops, Dependable gave us an option to fix the part that was the most expensive to fix and they did a great job and saved me from having to purchase a different vehicle. My car came back not only fixed but cleaned inside and out. They finished in the time frame promised even with finding an additional broken part that they needed to replace. Also a great warranty on the parts and labor that they did which means a great deal to me. Thank you Dependable I will recommend your services to others.

My car was hit in rear. This location was recommended by Hometown Sevice and a couple of friends. Since I am new to area, I didnt know who to reach out to for estimate. Brought car in for estimate, took less than half hour. Insurance company accommodated with estimate. Called to schedule repair, dropped car off on Monday, received call this morning, Wednesday, car was ready. Looks fantastic, everything was done to perfection right down it being washed. You can trust them like no other shop. They are straight forward and know their stuff. I have been working with them for 20 years and they're simply great. Update: Back for a repair after my son had a fender bender. I could have been $4,000 in. These folks found a way to do a great repair that was just over 10% of that cost! I say again: Simply the best. I would not have known if the costs were necessary or not but they have always tried to operate with integrity. You simply cannot find the same degree of that anywhere else.
