Edit: this has now dragged on for nearly a month only for them to find the replacement had been misaligned when installed. Don't bother with these people. You get what you pay for. While they may have the best prices, both my sides of the molding around my newly replaced windshield peeled away, one side within just hours of the "repair", the other side within days. In addition, they offered an "early bird" offer to be the first customer serviced in the day which I opted for. They said the original window was 8 to 12 in the morning. The representative (hi Lauren) arrived at 9:15 so so much for that. Trying to reach an actual human to resolve the follow up issues was also a nightmare, first dealing with a bunch of automated messages and then constantly being bounced around between locations (Janesville and Madison) as to who had what parts when and who I was actually dealing with. Save your time and sanity dealing with these people and just go somewhere else.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

Arrived on Wednesday morning ~7:40am to drop off my car for a windshield replacement. Nobody was at the desk despite the office being open at 7am. There is a sign with a doorbell to ring to get their attention. Twenty minutes later, finally employees arrived at the front desk to help the 5 people that had lined up to wait. Yes, I could've used the key drop off, but I wanted to ask a few questions at drop off. I got a text at 4:30pm that my car was ready for pickup which would've been impossible to be able to make it by the time the office closed at 5pm with beltline traffic. A few days later, my wife needed to use the windshield washer fluid because this is Wisconsin spring and nothing came out. Turns out the tech forgot to reconnect the windshield washer fluid line. The only saving grace to give this review 2 stars is the ease of scheduling with AmFam insurance. Will not be recommending this location to others.

Nate, my tech, was professional, respectful, and very thorough! I needed my windshield to be replaced but I didn’t have time to come in during normal business hours since I myself am working. Once he arrived he said all I had to do was unlock my vehicle and then I can go back inside to work. A little less than a hour later I get a call saying he completed the job. He proceeded to give me aftercare instructions and told me to have a great day. When returning to my vehicle I was very impressed with the replacement process but even more so I was shocked and pleased he removed multiple stickers (parking, toll tag, and oil change reminder) from my old windshield and placed them on my new windshield!! I had forgot all about them and did not ask or mention to him about the stickers. Nate went above and beyond and so thankful for his work and grateful the process was so easy for someone who has never done this before.

Had a no-show by the technician TWICE to replace the windshield on my vehicle. Called Safelite after the first no-show and struggled through their automated receptionist. It didn't understand "technician didn't show up", so went to reschedule the appointment, but the system was only interested in how I was going to pay. Finally got a human who was very apologetic and got me rescheduled. Sat around for another half a day waiting for the technician to show up to replace the windshield and again, DID NOT SHOW. I received emails saying they would be there both times and even received a text confirming the reschedule. There was absolutely no emails, phone calls, or texts saying they were delayed or anything. Just left me sitting, waiting for them to show for the entire time, both times. Time to get the insurance company to give me a referral to someone else that actually wants some business.

Had a rock chip in the center of the drivers side when returning to Wisconsin, traveling thru New Mexico. When contacting our insurance company, via the 800#, they were able to schedule directly for me, in Safelite schedule, to drop my Infiniti QX60 off the following day, on a Saturday. This whole system works seamless.y, and text messages to update me along the way. I was thrilled they can now (as of abut 6 years ago, I was told) re-calibrate all the electronics built in around the mirror area, as this made me a bit nervous. I dropped my car off at 7:30, and it was complete and ready to pick up by 1:30. They did a perfect job- good as new. (Previous experience at a dealership with my previous car- same model, was that there was a lot of extra noise due to a gasket not being installed exactly right). I will use Safelite again in an instant, if I ever need a windshield repair or replacement.

I hate to do this , But really Have no choice here. Had a crack in my windshield. Needed replacement. Drove in, Asked for help, Gentleman took my VIN and gave it to the lady by the computer. 15 minutes later and a lot of confusion, I asked to possibly email me an estimate Because I was running out of time. I spelled my email twice. Waited 10 days, Decided to call. Phone system is so AI, It’s infuriating. Took me 3 tries to get to the store. 25 minutes on the phone, Asked for original equipment, Not aftermarket. Nope, Apparently, even with the presence of VIN , Internet And being the leading provider of this type of service It’s hard to find proper information. Spelled my email twice AGAIN. Still no estimate. Have no choice, but spent way more money at Zimbrick, at least they have no problem spelling my email right and send me the information.

We had a truck spit up a rock into my wife's windshield. Before we knew it, there was a long horizontal crack across her whole windshield. We called our insurance agent, Jason Stendalen, owner of C4 Insurance, and he reminded us that our Erie Insurance policy included all glass protection, no deductible and a free pair of wipers, because they partner with Safelite. Yesssssss! We scheduled our appointment, took the car in and waited. We were told the wait could be three hours, but it was only two and a half hours -- and they installed the new windshield, recalibrated all the systems and installed the new wipers. Safelite took care of all the paperwork with the insurer, and we had the car back with zero cost to us! Safelite and Erie Insurance, an amazing partnership. Reach out to Jason today!

First arrived and front seat lady was a bit sassy when we let her know we were waiting the 2-3 hrs to get things fixed. However it only took about 1.5hrs … saw them pull car around and first thing I noticed was my cross was not hanging but my handicap placard was. Got to car and saw pieces of my rosary on my seat, passenger seat and cup holder. My 97yr old client gave me that and it was broke. However no one said sorry. Or warned me it was broke. Also witnessed the front seat be pretty rude to a customer that could not speak English and kept asking for his keys and got louder as if he couldn’t hear. What a joke. My insurance company had me go there so it was not my choice. However I hope I do not have to go back. What happened to communication and good customer service?

Fantastic experience!! I've been driving for about 5 years now with a 2-foot windshield crack, I kept not doing anything in part because I was worried about a couple bad reviews I'd seen (with prices suddenly tripling or work quickly falling apart). But for me, everything was perfect. I arranged for Safelite to come replace my windshield at my apartment, so I didn't even have to leave home except to hand over the keys. My tech, Austin, was fantastic. Friendly, efficient, and quickly replaced my windshield for the amazingly low price I'd been quoted online. He left the new windshield and everything around it immaculately clean, and everything has been perfect. Love my new windshield and I would have done this years ago had I known what a great experience it would be!

I had my windshield replaced in Madison, WI, and drove down to Orlando, Florida. When I arrived, I noticed the rubber edging holding the windshield in place popped out on driver top side and on the passenger lower right side. It is also bent in 2 places on the right side. The technician also forgot to place the cover on the wires from rear view mirror, which I found on the floor of my passenger seat and there is a 'piece' from windshield that I found on the floor- some sort of a rubber bolt. Please contact me as I need this repaired asap. I have called countless times, and I am unable to be transferred to a person nor do any of the dropdown mention options or verbal comands fit my needs. I will change my rating based on response.
