Cascade Auto Glass

I had Cascade Auto Glass replace my cracked OEM windshield (rock hit it on the freeway) on my Subaru Impreza. Because the Subaru has eyesight technology (two forward facing cameras), it needs to be calibrated when a new windshield is installed, so it requires service in the shop. The tech and the customer service person were real nice and professional over the phone and in real life. There is a lobby area where I waited while the windshield was being replaced and recalibrated. The issues I encountered were defects in the glass itself. The first windshield, I think the brand was PGW, but I know it wasn't OEM Subaru, had a two inch warped circle on the passenger side. I noticed this defect on my drive home from the shop, so I turned around and went back to Cascade Auto Glass, but it was closed. So I called them and they scheduled me a week later to have the windshield replaced again. The second windshield they installed was brand Fuyao, also defective, it had these wavy lines on the passenger side (while sitting in the driver seat) that are really noticeable when making a right turn or driving slow, like in a parking lot. I noticed the same lines on the driver side while sitting on the passenger side, so this whole windshield is defective. I ended up calling my insurance, explaining that I can't go back to Cascade Auto a third time because it's too much of a risk that I could receive another defective windshield. So now I will have a third windshield installed at an entirely different business. Hopefully my third windshield replacement will be defect free. The whole hassle with defective windshields has become real time consuming and quite annoying while driving with these defects. I suggest Cascade Auto Glass order from places that diligently inspect their glass before shipping it or at least carefully inspect it themselves when they receive it. In looking at the reviews the owner always posts positive feedback only to commenters that leave a great review. He doesn't respond to customers that present valid issues about aftermarket windshields that may be defective or any solutions to address customers that aren't happy with the quality of product. I'm looking for a new windshield and was concerned about a review from Andrew 3 months ago regarding a defective windshield and Gerald Bartlet 9 months ago with several problems. The owner didn't respond to them on Google reviews. While he may have contacted them directly and hopefully addressed their issues, I would have hoped he would have responded to them on Google reviews that he would work with them to resolve their complaints. It makes me a little leery that he only responded to positive reviews. Nevertheless, it's commendable that he is very responsive to his customers. I'll probably be calling them to discuss my windshield. Thanks for taking time to listen to my concerns.

When both my girlfriend and I ended up with cracks running down our windshields, I wasn’t exactly excited about having to deal with it. But working with Cascade Auto Glass made it surprisingly easy. I called Brenda, who connected me with Kellie to set everything up, and they handled the rest. The installers showed up right on time, replaced both windshields while we worked from home, and even put the cars back where they were parked when they finished. The whole thing was straightforward and stress-free — which is exactly what you want when dealing with car repairs. Hopefully I won’t need another windshield anytime soon, but if I do, I know who I’m calling. If you’re trying to figure out who to trust with your windshield, I’d definitely recommend giving them a call.

Finding their building was a bit difficult since it didn't have an actual sign on it from the "front" but once I figured it out and arrived, it didn't take terribly long for the install and calibration. (I had to go to them for the appointment since my vehicle required a calibration.) They were super kind and helpful both on the phone and in person. I was lucky enough to get an appointment within the week which I was thankful for since the heat was starting to get intense and the crack in my windshield was not liking it. After calling several auto glass companies in the Portland-Vancouver-Longview area I chose Cascade Auto Glass in Orchards (Vancouver) WA. Not only was their pricing very competitive, but I was able to make an appointment sooner than others I called. My replaced windshield, including camera recalibration was done sooner than expected while enjoying free coffee and conversation with their helpful, friendly office person. Very good and helpful customer service. They did all the work to have my insurance provider approve a windshield order from the dealer, ordered the windshield from the dealer, and scheduled a tech to come over and install the replacement. I had my windshield replaced here on my Toyota Rav 4. It has since developed a stress crack. The techs came out and looked at the windshield for about 30 seconds and told me the crack was from an impact. I asked them how an impact would originate from the corner underneath the protective barrier and they had no answer.
