I called Windshield Express a day or so before and scheduled an appointment to replace a broken window on my truck. Even though I had an established appointment I still waited over an hour before I decided to leave. Their facility is okay. The waiting room was comfy but could have stood to be cleaned a little more thoroughly. What I gathered from my visit is that this is a family owned business and while I always love to see families in business as it's something my family is working towards, I think this was one of the issues. Apparently the young lady with whom I scheduled my appointment is a sister or daughter who was being trained to work there, however according to the lady who helped me - she failed to document the appointment. There was also a little confusion as to whether I should have purchased the glass myself and just had them install it. The guy who was actually installing the glass was rude and dismissive. At one point while I waited I noticed he was spraying his tires on his truck, so when I inquired how much longer my wait would be, he suggested that I tend to my vehicle issue (my starter went bad) that looked more important than my windshield and then said that, he didn't know how long the wait would be because he had to wait for someone else to return to finish the vehicle he had been working on prior to my arrival. Long story short my window still needs replacing because I left dissatisfied with the level of service I wasn't receiving. I hope they get their business together because the price and convenience of their business to my home was great, but I didn't feel like there was any urgency to retain my business. Update: I am receiving hateful comments from a lady named Eboni Jones on Facebook as a result of this review. Apparently it is wrong to write a review even though I didn’t spend money with them. I tried to do business but my business wasn’t wanted as I was told to take care of my bigger car issue - the starter on my truck.

Never again!!! I'd give 0 stars if I could. VERY poor communication and experience. My sunroof wouldn't close. The owner said give him a couple days for an estimate. After a few days, I called them everyday for 2 weeks, with no answer on problem or cost. Everyday the assistant said "he'll call you back later today". He never called back. Finally a month later I drove in to ask "what's the problem?". The owner said he couldn't close it, but to fix is $500. Now $500 is not the problem, but if he couldn't communicate the diagnosis in a month, how can I feel confident with him fixing it? All the parts were just hanging down from the ceiling, so I asked him to put it back and I'd come back later get the car. He said give him a couple of days. 2 weeks later everything's still hanging down. I said I'll just take it as is. They put dark fingerprints on the headliner and sun visor. Then I discover my car has been hit while there... of course no one knows anything. However the the fragments of my tail light had been swept up. The owner said he's not responsible. I agree. He's Not responsible with communication. He's not responsible with keeping his word. They're not responsible enough keep their hands and my headliner clean or my car from being damaged while in his care. I couldn't believe his smug attitude when I asked my questions, he acted like he did me a favor by taking a month for an estimate and nearly 2 months total for nothing. I found another company that charged $100 to close the roof... End of story.

Ahhhh No, The Quote They Gave Me Was Alot More Then Glassmasters And Safelite And The Price Was More Without Mobile Services, Which Means It Would Have Been Over $200 For Them To Come To Me Less Then 3 Miles Away! To Be A Second Hand Shop With No Advertising I Find Those Prices Extremely High! Furthermore The Phone Attendant Seems She Had No Clue As To What She Was Doing, Kept Putting The Phone Down To Ask Questions, Kept Apologizing, Then Had The Nerve To Ask Me Did I Get Anymore Quotes Elsewhere, Before She Gave Me A Price, Of Course I Didn't Tell Her And Questioned Back, If I'm Calling You For A Quote Why Are You Asking Me Their Prices Before You Tell Me Your Prices, So She Told Me The Price And Of Course It Was Alot More Then The Brand Name Businesses! No I'm Not Interested In Doing Any Business That Operates Such As That! I FOR SURE CAN BUY THE WINDSHIELD FOR $50 AND HAVE SOMEONE INSTALL IT! AND THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I'M GOING TO DO!

Scheduled a 9:00 appointment with the owner for July 2(small crack in front windshield) and was told it would take 30min. Arrived at 8:57 and others were waiting. Signed in and stated to the owner that I had a 9:00 appt. The couple who signed in first(no appt.) also had a crack in their windshield. About 40min later the couple's vehicle was ready. I waited another 10 minutes then walked outside. The owner was not around for the next 10min. so I asked the young guy if my car was ready. He said no but he could start on it. I stated that I had a 9:00 appt. so my window should have been fixed first. I left, called the owner to inquire about the purpose of an appointment if other vehicles are going to be fixed before mine. He stated that "he" was going to fix it but had to go somewhere, blah, blah, blah, NOT GOOD BUSINESS!! I was trying to support my own people.

I was going to take my car to have the windshield done by a corporate shop when they told me they would have to order it and since its labor day weekend it wouldn't be able to get done till Tuesday. I reached out on social media and a friend told me about windshield Express on 360 in mecanicsvill so I called and the owner answered I told him what I needed he said he could do it on Tuesday also I told him well thank you but I needed it done now as my inspection need to get done as I am a uber/lyft driver and had to turn in my inspection by the 24th to keep driving he then said ok if I could bring him the car now he would do it I left Chesterfield and went straight there and like that I got a new windshield thank you so much linwood at windshield Express you now have my business for life.PositivePunctuality, Quality, Professionalism, Value

I wanted to wait for a while before I posted a review, especially after my windshield was subjected to a few rainstorms. Let me tell you: THESE FOLKS ARE GREAT! My windshield is just what the doctor ordered. I had about an 18 inch long crack in it. Called them up in the early afternoon and they got me in and out before 6 PM. That was great especially considering they were hoppin that day. They had a bunch of other customers to take care of. Why so many others? BECAUSE THEY WERE ABOUT $100 CHEAPER THAN MY NEXT LOWEST QUOTE! Ebony, the young lady that handles the phone there is wonderful and she does so much more than scheduling appointments. I highly recommend them. They did a good job for me at a great price. GET IN THERE AND GET THAT NASTY CRACK FIXED ON YOUR WINDSHIELD...and at the right price!!!!

I would have given it 5 stars based on great work and what I thought was friendly staff. My husband called and got a quote for a windshield however when I got there to get my windshield put in they charged me 100 bucks more than the quote. When my husband called to ask why the lady at the desk told him because I did not tell them I had a quote . So apparently if u call and get a price it is lower but a lot than if u walk in the door. What kinda mess is that. She was rude on the phone when he called and he said that e would take his business elsewhere and she said " I don't care " . Why would u not care about customers that would send you more customers. Didn't even offer to make it right. How can you add a $100 mark up on a product. Will not be going back here !!!

This Place is amazing. I recently got into a car accident and on result a had a messed up windshield and a few other damages. Since it's against the law in Virginia to drive with a broken windshield I knew I had to get it fixed quickly. I was looking around for prices and quotes on Windshields and Windshield Express was the only place that gave me a reasonable and affordable price. As soon as I he told me the price I rushed there right away to get my windshield replaced. When I got there they immediately started working on my car and had me out of there in 45 minutes. The workers and the owner are very polite and are very precise with their work. I recommend Windshield Express to any and everyone that wants great quality work at affordable prices.

I an NOT happy at all with their quality of work and would never return there or recommend them to do a windshield replacement for others !!!! The part on the car i bought needed to be replaced and the one onthe car had to be removed to replace the windshield anyway . I bought it to your attention that the gasket that you installed was part of the windshied was not flush to the body of the car as it should be ad you just put more glue to hold it down , but it didn't hold . Since then I was called by the woman who was very rude and I have gotten many lying and nasty text from the installer . Window Express is the WORST BUSINESS I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH ! ! ! !

I had service performed on my vehicle on 6/29/2018, at Windshield Express. I took the vehicle back on 7/10/2018, because I notice that my windshield wasn't repaired correctly. Upon arrival, the owner explained to me that because of the price he gave me, I should accept what was done. I expressed my displeasure cordially with the owner and he became very belligerent and elevated his voice using expletives. I immediately walked away and called the police. I contacted the owner again on 7/11/2018, requesting a refund in which refused. He became upset and began to verbally assault me and we disconnected.
