Some up and down experiences posted here. I will share mine. I got a small rock chip in my windshield on Wednesday. Booked an appointment for Saturday at 8 AM. Received a video link through text the day before with directions which was helpful. The video mentioned to arrive approximately 10 minutes early. Got there at 7:52 AM. Car was being worked on by 7:56 AM. There was a man who checked me in and woman who may have done the actual service, she was the one who returned my vehicle and keys. Both were polite. No problems. I got frequent text messages with updates which I imagine would be helpful if I left. I did not however because the video from the night before mentioned my repair should take 30 minutes or less. The lobby was spacious and clean. There were large, plush black chairs to sit in. Very comfortable, better than other similar experiences/places. There was a unisex bathroom, which I did not use. There was also a coffee machine which I did not use. No one was there since it was an 8 AM appointment on Saturday. Rock chip repair looked good, as good as it can be. This was not my first rock chip repair so I understand the glass will not be blemish free after. This was also explained by the guy who checked me in. I was back in my car at 8:11 AM. Overall very satisfied with the service. Super simple and fast.

Avoid this place at all cost, please read till the end or skip to the end. I am very annoyed and disappointed. So, my entire window was shattered, , so I took the effort to remove most of the window, and took off some panels and my rear seats so clean up would be as easy as possible. The only glass left was on the edges of the window held on by the factory glue. When I got my car back, the first turn I took all I heard was glass sloshing around. I didn't have time to turn back and have them do there job nor did I feel like trying to argue about it so I took it home and took of the side panels again and sure enough, there was a ton of glass in there. Why would you not clean all the glass before putting the window on? I doubt they ever remove panels to clean broken glass. Pure laziness, even after I did the trouble of taking my car apart for them. It only took me 20 annoying minutes to clean their mess, with the new window already in. And to top it off, it looks like one of the techs cut their hand and bled on my car- didn't even bother cleaning up the disgusting blood. Next time I'll replace the window myself. What a waist of 500 dollars.

I stopped in to get a price and schedule a windshield replacement. I asked if there were any discounts available to help offset the insurance deductible. I was immediately accused by Noah and the the lady with him of committing insurance fraud. I asked for the Utah Code that indicated this. They did not have this information and told me to leave. Discounts that helped cover the deductible was a standard practice in the past. If indeed laws have changed, that is fine. Please train employees to politely educate your customers of the new laws and have those laws available when asked. This would be great customer service. Accusing customers of insurance fraud is not the way to treat your customers. These are questions that every customer has the right to ask without being told they are breaking laws that employees cannot reference or provide. Rating: Customer Service terrible. Needs training in how to handle situations when a customer asks these questions. I second another reviewer. These employees seem to be looking for an argument and a reason to tell customers to leave. A real chip on their shoulders.

Safelite has become a scam. I was on the road and my wife got a rock chip in her new car. I told her to head over to Safelite on 90th because they have been doing my windshield repairs and replacements since it was Techniglass. She goes in, offers to pay up front, and the guy tells her no, we'll get you afterwards. This would have told her the price before the work, but "getting her" afterwards is obviously part of the plan. So they hit her with $115 rock chip repair bill after the fact. But don't worry, the subsequent rock chip repairs are only $29. You should be telling people this is your pricing model up front. Instead you point to a small, poorly made sign that's half covered, taped to your front door. Have some character and make it clear this is the price of your services. If I walk in and say "I need a rock chip repaired" you should say something like "okay, let me explain how it works". You lost a customer today, as I'll go anywhere else no matter if it costs more.NegativeProfessionalism, Value

Had a crack in my windshield after I called my insurance they scheduled me a week out which was on 8/21/20, once I brought in my car they told me they ordered the wrong windshield and told me they could start it at 3 in the afternoon, I scheduled a morning appointment because I work in the afternoon. Was rescheduled a week out again for 2 in the afternoon since they told me that's all they had so I took the day off and when I go and drop it off today they tell me that my appointment is for a windshield repair scheduled at 2:30 not a windshield replacement scheduled for 2 explained again if was for a replacement but they can't take my car back early since its scheduled for 2:30. Second time this type of thing has happened and i wanted to give them the benefit if the doubt. Don't go here they don't know how to schedule appointment and the receptionist there treats you like its your fault.NegativePunctuality, ProfessionalismServicesAuto windshield replacement

Our company had 3 Tractor windshields repaired this past month with SafeLite. I scheduled an additional windshield repair almost 3 weeks ago and have been given the run around regarding the schedule. Last Friday I just didn't have a good feeling so called to make sure they would be here on Saturday.....I was told my appointment was Monday (today) that was not ok, but we took the appointment and changed our drive schedule to accommodate that appointment. This morning, I again did not have a good feeling, called Safelite and was told that they no longer do Tractor windshields.....they said that decision, from their company was made over a week ago, but again I was told last Friday they would be here today to do the repair. Long story short, we called Expert Auto Glass and they will be here tomorrow to do the repair at only $410.00 vs over $1,700.00 with SafeLite. DO NOT USE SafeLite. Buyer be Ware.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism, Value

Went to the Sandy location. I had a windshield with a warranty and tried to get a rock chip repaired. I waited 19 mins before someone even came up to the desk to talk to me then we look at the car windshield. He said they won’t do it with the warranty. I asked to talk to the manager. It took another 20 minutes for the manager to come up to talk to me. I think he was hoping I would just leave. The manager was extremely rude and said the company was bought out and they don’t honor the warranty anymore. He was just trying to get me to replace the whole windshield because there were a few other divots. I may have done that had not been selling my car.The manger went on to tell me it’s up to the manager at each location if they want to honor the warranty. He’s short handed so he’s not able to do it. So he is not willing to honor it but he wants me to buy a new windshield from them. I wish I could give them a ZERO stars rating!

Pulled car in for an appointment. Man come out with real chip on his shoulder and curses me for pulling up to service doors (I didn’t leave the car, just rolled in like for an oil change and asked where they would like the car.). I pull in a parking stall and go inside to speak to the manager. Guess who’s the manager? Same guy. Has a total attitude and is very rude. I asked for his boss name and he wouldn’t provide it. I left and contacted management through skip tracing. Heard my concerns but ultimately wouldn’t do anything. Folks- if you want to be brow beat and abused as a customer go here. If you want great service (where they actually even answer the phone) go to valley glass. They fixed my rock chip repair promptly and courteously. Thanks for wasting my time Safelite. I’ll never be back. Simple rock chip repair a total crash and burn. 🔥

The individual that scheduled my appointment was professional and accommodated me with the best appointment to suit my schedule. The technician did an excellent job and was also very professional. The review lacks stars on account of the personality and professionalism of the individual at the front desk. He was completely rude to me and others. The man sitting next to me leaned over and said, "I guess he isn't much of a morning person." I feel your operation met my expectations for the MOST part, but I will consider going elsewhere just for the mere fact that this location has such a poor individual as their point of contact. He embarrassed me, and clearly offended others as they too commented on his demeanor. As I read the reviews, clearly this location has a massive issue with rude customer service. Way too many reviews have single stars.

First windshield had a blemish. They took care of it, replaced it the next day. Second new windshield less than 6 weeks old. Major rock chip. You call the local number, you get a corporate computer "I'm sorry I don't know how to process that request good by" you try and set an appointment for the same day.....not. commercials not true, to busy. I went to the store they close at 5:00, according to the door hours. 3:45 one car in the shop 5 techs standing arround. Dude comes out after I stood in the office for 5 min. "Can I help you" explained the situation, "sorry can't help you all booked up" "MIGHT be able to get you in tomorrow" next windshield will not be purchased with safelite. Silly me thinking I would pay $250 more and get better service. Next time I will go out of my way to find a different company, and pay less!
