I went to Safelite to have my back windshield replaced . They told me they can wrap the window for free until they were able to service me later on in the week . I went and got the wrap done and everything seemed fine . My car was working fine . They come to fix my windshield and they are unable to open the trunk and say glass must have gotten into the lock mechanism . Now the trunk opened just fine prior to the wrap but now all of a sudden it’s not working . They tell me I have to take into the shop inconveniencing me more which I did . I get there only for them to tell me they are not responsible and that they were doing me a favor by wrapping the back for me . This is completely unacceptable . The worker there named Nathan was completely rude and inappropriate to my wife and I was told there is nothing that they can do even though they got glass in my lock mechanism and now I have to take my car to a body shop pay more money out of pocket for them to fix the issue and my back windshield . I called their company and they could only forward me to the manager who only repeated what his rude employee already told us . This place is unprofessional and terrible . Avoid it all cost

My Volkswagen Golf had the windshield replaced this past Saturday on May 24, 2025 at my home garage. The service tech was on time, but the windshield seemed to be a struggle to remove and caused the glass to break and leave broken glass in my car. A couple hours later another tech arrived to assist. They provided a $70 discount for a $400 job but I ended with scratches on my A-pillar, a raised weather strip, black grease stains on the interior of both A-pillars, and what looks like tears in the interior upholstery on the passenger side A-pillar. I left a message for the store to call me back with a manager or supervisor as I have serious buyers remorse and just want the workmanship to be done right. Add to this I normally place my cell phone in the cubby slot in front of my gear shifter, but found out the hard way that there were small shards of broken glass that cut into my finger. Please do better. Several days and call back requests later, I still have no response or resolution.

Caleb came to fix my left rear window. He asked if I had an extension cord for his vacuum for vacuuming up the loose glass out of the door. Would I get the one from the garage so that he did not have to walk back to his truck to get his which was actually closer. This wasn’t really a big deal, except that he left shattered glass all over my driveway and in the backseat. He ONLY vacuumed the door spot. Apparently, he did not do that very well as the window makes crunching and scraping noises as it goes up and down because it’s still hitting up against shattered glass pieces. So instead of having the problem fixed, I now have to deal with trying to get them to come back and do something about it. I would not let Caleb work for me or represent me. I love this company, but this technician and this experience were awful.

Unbelievably poor customer service. I was not told until after the repair was paid for that the repair was not done. The mount on the windshield for the mirror was broken and they would have to come back. I am driving without a mirror or sensors associated. I asked for a refund until the repair is complete but was told that is not an option I should have been told before I paid. I should be given my money back until it is corrected. I was told it is a warranty issue and not their financial burden. They did a job and had to be paid. They did not do the job and should be liable until it’s corrected.

I see a few negative reviews here, but honestly, I had a great experience. I set an appointment for chip repair through my insurance company. Sefelite sent me numerous reminders of the appointment and what to expect. I was in and out of there in 31 minutes. My technician Mr. Eric Brown was nice and let me know how the process would work and what results to expect. The waiting area was clean. There were plenty of seats plus free coffee...huge bonus at 2 in the afternoon! There were plenty of spots to park as well. I have no reason not to come back!

Safelite overcharged me when I get the online quote and called to schedule the replacement, they charged me $300.00 too much and then the tech broke our outside lower windshield trim instead of taking it off properly and tried to hide it and the lie to me about it.. I have before and after photos and the before photos are time and dated from our insurance carrier as they came out to look over the damage and take their photos before any work was done.. so beware and be sure they remove the outside trim properly before any work is done by them!!

These folks really were amazing! Our installer.....well, he rocks! He was a pleasure to meet and associate with. Learned alot from him in the short time that he was here to install a new windshield in our class c rv. Can't say enough good things about our installer. Great customer service. Something thats almost impossible to find these days. It was good to meet someone who really takes pride in his work. You just don't see that much anymore. I highly recommend Safe-Lite to anyone!

Safelite took my vehicle info so they would get the right part, and still got the wrong part. I had to wait untill the next day for the replacement glass. Which was supposed to be installed from 8a.m.-12p.m. the following day. Didn't even receive a phone call untill after 12p.m. to be told by the driver that he was gonna be late because someone else had complained. No apologies, or compensation for me waiting around for a day and a half for them to complete my glass replacement.

Update; And two years later, I'm here again, June 1st. A different vehicle with minor chips. They did a good job, but I was expecting perfection like the last time. The guy that did the work was very friendly and did the work fast. I will definitely come back here. I came here on October 16th for a minor windshield chip and a tiny hairline crack. The shop was busy but they got it done quickly. If my car ever has issues again, I will definitely come back here.

The technician came on time, was very polite and efficient. However, the company promise to vacuum up the glass inside my vehicle was not possible because the company did not give the technician the equipment necessary to make this happen. As a result, the technician and I had to make-do by picking up the glass by hand and with towels, etc. The technician and I both deserved better. But, the glass was installed as promised.
