My car’s front windshield fell casualty to the hail storm a couple days ago. After checking with our insurance they quoted us something over our deductible, luckily my wife had the good sense to shop around. I’m sure glad we did. Safe View Auto Glass and Mike (I assume the owner) was one of the most pleasant car services I have ever had. Firstly his quote (and final bill) was half of what the insurance companies suggested company to go through. Don’t let the professional great UX website fool you, this is a local company that treats you like a human being from end to end. When I called Mike made it really easy to set up a time and was great about communication of when and price. He even was able to get out to our house earlier. I know this is a personal choice but we are still wearing masks, when he noticed this he quietly and courteously wore one although he was outside and working, just another testament to his professional and personal character. The replacement was quick and quality was great. The price was exactly the low quote, no hidden fees or up charges. My Subaru Forester had a cracked windshield and the dealership wanted more than $1k to replace it. They said my EyeSight system needed a "special" windshield or else the car would throw codes and require a costly calibration. Mike from Safeview said, "you probably won't need a calibration after I replace your windshield, but even if you do, the cost of both will be less than $1k." True to his word, my Forester didn't throw any codes after the replacement and didn't need a calibration. However, the shape of the new windshield was *a little* less curved and caused the wiper arm to scrape. Mike came out two more times after I called about it. Once to see what was going on, and one more time to adjust the wiper mount and replace the windshield at no extra cost to me. I don't think he made any money off of my replacement - it seemed more important that he had a satisfied customer. I just got a new car and the first time I take it on mopac, a rock flies at my windshield and makes a chip with some small spider cracks. I live in South Austin, but I found myself in Round Rock to buy some things that I can only get there. I pulled over and did a quick Google search and found Safeview auto glass repair. The rest of the story is really simple. I called, they came really quickly to where I was and fixed my windshield right up. The man was friendly and he seemed to know exactly what he was doing. After the dealership told me I had multiple sensors in my windshield and that it would be $1200 to replace, I decided to check out Safeview. Man I'm glad I did! Mike was so awesome!! I contacted him Thursday, and he was here Friday morning on time. He replaced my windshield right outside in my apartment complex parking lot! I was traveling from Houston to Austin and noticed I had a bad crack in my windshield when I got there. I called Mike, the owner of Safeview AutoGlass and told him I needed it fixed quickly due to my travel time constraints. I also needed a special custom windshield. He was there fixing my window super quick and got the exact windshield that I wanted for my truck! The workmanship was as good as it gets! The price was less than what I had expected. I had my window knocked out by a petty vandal, and needed it replaced. I called all around Austin and Round Rock. Some places wouldn't even respond with a quote! Mike got right back to me AND had the best price. He ordered my replacement, got back to me at the agreed upon time, and came out to my work to replace it. I only gave 5 stars because they don't let you give 10! I hope you don't need a window or windshield replaced, but if you do, give Mike a call. 👍
