Universal Windshield Replace

This is not the place to come if you’re expecting a fast or friendly experience. I called in advance the morning of, to schedule my windshield replacement. On the phone the gentleman informed me the glass would arrive by 11 am, I agreed and told him I’d arrival after noon. Upon arrival I was directed to park my car and they immediately started removing the windshield that had been damaged by a tree during the recent storm. After waiting for 40 minutes without any updates and saw no signs of the new windshield, I approached the gentleman to inquire about the windshield. He said it would take an hour to install the windshield, I asked if he hadn’t ordered the windshield after our phone call and he avoided answering the question by replying “ por qué siempre quieren pelear”. I was taken by surprise with his response as I was only inquiring, but his demeanor was very defensive and aggressive. He went further by going to my vehicle, inspecting it after they had removed the broken windshield, and tell me it about the risk of installing the new windshield. I asked if why they hadn’t inspected the damage prior to removing my old windshield and he replied, “ cómo iba a saber yo “. I couldn’t comprehend how he as the owner didn’t think through the risk for his client. I am used to receiving service with respect, this man’s spoke with a lot of entitlement and even took a picture of my windshield after he replaced it stating, “ por qué nunca se sabe con la gente”. I was disappointed because I always try to support small businesses, but after being treated this way, I’d rather pay a little bit more and have the service that I as a customer deserve. It’s also worth noting that there was another customer who had been waiting for her windshield to be complete since before I arrived at 12:30 and when I left at 2 she was still waiting for her vehicle. I believe they rushed my repair because of our altercation.

The reviews about this place are all true. I called around and this was the nearest and so many places was charging over $35 more for their prices and these guys were the closest with lowest price. They work really fast. As soon as you are ready for repair, they will get it done right away. No games, no playing at all. These guys earn their paycheck for what they do and i am excited about my new windshield and rear glass replacement. You need a place to go Jesus and the gang will get you right!

A few weekends ago we got the windshield on my wife's car replaced. I was so impressed I went back 2 days ago and had my truck done. The guys work quickly, in and out in less than an hour both times. Front windshield of my Audi was broken at noon, called Universal Windshield at 1 o'clock, came in for my appointment at 3 o'clock, picked up my car at 4 o'clock and was fixed for hundreds of dollars less than what was quoted at other "professional shops". The location is a bit rough but if you can see past that you will save a lot of money here with great, quick service. Owner speaks English and gave quote over phone.

My car was unfortunately broken into at Buffalo Bayou Park (very common beware) and my window was left shattered. I contacted a few places to get it repaired, and decided to go with Universal Windshield Replace because they had my window in stock and could do it for $120 that day. This is a great shop. I went a couple of weeks ago to get a windshield replaced. I called the day before to ensure they had the windshield I needed. I did not make an appointment but I did go first thing. They had me in and out in about an hour. I think they will come to you if you can not make it to them. They are my go to from now on because if you live in Houston, then it will happen again.

Excellent experience. Sent prompt quote -- beat the competition by $100. I live nearby, so it was no problem to drop off car in the morning and pick up a few hours later. These guys are busy every day when I drive by. I needed a new windshield so I decided to stop and get a quote. The price was fantastic and they had it in stock. I only had to wait 45 minutes for 2 other cars to finish then mine was done in 30 minutes. The put my toll tag and inspection sticker back on and it looks great. Taking another vehicle next week.

If you’re look for great quality work and PRICE, check these guys out! I’ve had my drivers seat cracked for a while. I ended up paying $400 for my back window to be fixed and I paid $190 for my driver window to be fixed with them! They did this under 30mins. No wait time. I will be sure to recommend others to them! I am so thankful my brother referred me to this place. Safelite was quoting me $300 for my passenger side window and they don't even tint the glass. At Universal I recieved speedy, great quality window repair and they tinted the glass for only $20 more. I have already referred a couple of people here, and will refer more.
