I'll start by saying they were never rude. Very nice through the whole process. On their website and on their property it says they are by appointment. I was told mine was at 830 AM. I arrived a couple minutes before 830, I've worked in the automotive industry so I know replacement doesn't take too long, so I decided to wait. 2 vehicles got chip fills while I was waiting, I figured maybe just to get them out of the way. Then a Jeep, that arrived after me, got it's windshield replaced before my truck. At this point we are about 1.5 hours in. I think to myself, I'll pay and get an update while I'm at it. I was then told my windshield hadn't even arrived and it was on its way. So I figured I had already waited that long, a little longer wouldn't hurt. It's now over 2 hours from when I got there and they offer me a chair to sit because there is no ETA on my windshield. This is where I become unhappy. I'm then told they have everyone drop off at 830. This means there are no appointments. I'm then told it's due to covid. I understand covid is impacting how businesses run, but I could have been told when my "appointment" was made that my windshield was needing to be ordered. I could have been told when I arrived that my windshield wasn't there. Before they removed my windshield, they could have told me there was still no ETA on my windshield so I could have driven myself home and returned when my windshield was on site. It was a huge waste of my time to wait. 2 stars because the price was good and as far as I can tell the windshield looks fine (cab was a tad dirty and a few scratches on my upper dash near the windshield, but I can probably fix that).

If you're looking to get your windshield replaced, look no further than Southwest Auto Glass. Frank and his team exceeded my expectations in price, quality, and getting the job done right the first time -way sooner than expected. After a drunk ex friend kicked in the windshield, I had it towed in to Southwest. I drive a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta. While it may be an older model VW, I only want the highest quality parts installed, for the sake of reliability. I was expecting to pay more considering import parts usually cost more, especially if you want OEM quality and performance, and if your vehicle has a rain sensor or other features. Frank reassured me that the "generic" PGW brand would be of OEM quality, and at $253.36 after tax, title, license, storage fees, and brain injury charges, I couldn't be more satisfied. (Just kidding about the storage fees and brain injury charges.) I left the car around 11AM and Frank called at 3 PM the same day informing me she was ready to be picked up. By the way, they really exceeded my expectations by vacuuming up all the broken glass in my interior. Frank and the team at Southwest Auto Glass have definitely earned my friends and family's business for years to come. I'm definitely taking my Mercedes-Benz and other VW's when it comes time for a replacement windshield!

Beware Won't replace broken parts damaged during install Said broken parts were a result of old age and not install Replacement of the windshield was straightforward and the quality of the glass is ok (some slight distortion at the edges when compared to OEM) The issue was that the trim on the sides had a screwdriver taken to it (see photo) and now won't stay down. Also the trim on the sides of the glass has an edge that meets up to help guide rain most likely. You can see in the picture that a big chunk was taken out. I wouldn't have noticed this or probably even cared, but I wasn't told the trim would probably start trying to fly off when I hit the freeway because it got damaged. When I reported this Southwest was professional up to the point that she mentioned the best they could do would be to glue it back. I asked if they would be willing to replace the parts, but they said no because they were broken likely because of old age. I have the exact weather strip trim on other parts of the car that show nowhere near the damage in the pictures. The parts are cheap enough that I'll do the repair myself, but wanted to give southwest the opportunity to better the situation.

Not professional. Don’t come here and set up an appointment, they won’t keep your appointment! I had scheduled an appt for windshield replacement specifically for the west side location at 9:00am, I get there and they tell me they can’t take me in until 11:30am, and they hadn’t even ordered my glass for my car! I had spoken with ferny but who knows if he’s even an employee there... anyway, the lady at the front desk Westside location looks rude and didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience caused. Won’t be returning! I recommend alamos auto glass, they come to you, are professional, and keep their word!NegativeProfessionalism

I made an appointment by phone to take vehicle in the following Monday at 9 am for a windshield replacement at their Montana location. They took all my info and said I was all set for Monday. When I showed up, they drew a complete blank. No info, no appointment, nothing. They said they could take me in, and have it done in 1 to 1 1/2 hours. After 1 1/2 hours, still not ready. They then told me they ordered the wrong glass and the right one was on it's way. Not a good experience at all, will not use them again or recommend them to anyone. Will in fact advise them to take their vehicle elsewhere.

They took off my wind shield and assured me the replacement would be done by the time they closed in a few hours. They called 40 minutes after closing time and told me they need to hold onto my car for a few days to order the molding that they already confirmed they had for my car, and then said they "won't charge me any extra" for ordering the parts they should've already had. They charged me $270 for a temporary windshield. Please do not go here. **(They traveled out of their way to go to my work to finish the molding job with the proper parts. I bumped them up from 1 to a 3)

We had a great experience with them. It's when someone has to deal with problems that you see how much they really care. After installation of a new windshield, it made too much noise while driving. We took it back and they gave us great customer service and listened to our concerns. They completely redid the job at no cost after finding the leak, and even gave me a ride home because it would take several hours before ready. Fred Baca was very friendly and genuinely concerned about our satisfaction with their work. I would absolutely recommend this shop to anyone.

I originally booked an appt. with the large national company that starts with an "S" and ends in an "E", but cancelled that appt. after finding out the price quoted ballooned to almost $400 by the time they added everything in! Southwest Auto Glass did the whole windshield replacement for $305.68 everything included! I did bring the car to them instead of them coming to me, but the service was top notch and the finished product is just like the original. They also did it on a moments notice! Thank you!

They were fast to answer my email inquiring about a quote for our van's windshield replacement! So far they were the best & highest BBB scored business. Fred Baca was very helpful & courteous with us! We were very happy & satisfied with the quality of workmanship. Even when the tech mistakenly put in the wrong windshield Mr Baca handled it very professionally & reordered the correct one. He called when it came in & made an appointment to get it installed! Overall we're very happy!! Thank you Fred Baca!!

I called to inquire about getting my windshield repaired. The associate on the phone, Jessica, was extremely helpful and honest. The area of damage was not repairable, and she was able to explain to me, with complete candor, my options. It's rare you find a place that isn't trying to gouge you for your money, so if you want to a place that takes the time to explain things to you thoroughly, give you an honest quote, and provide good customer service, this is the place I would choose.
