I'm sure John is a fine person and great mechanic, per the comments. I wanted to give him my business. I had an appointment with him during the morning (he gave me a time range of 8-10am since he potentially had one job before me), and although I fully understand things can change, the lack of communication on his part was really disappointing. I cleared my entire morning for him and took half the day off from work and canceled other commitments, however I never received a call or text until I had to double-text him around 12:30pm, to which he responded he was on the eastside on a job. I'm very understanding, and a simple "Hey, I had told you morning, but something came up and I have to move you to the afternoon" goes a long way and it would have allowed me to plan my day and workday better. I think it's neat that he's a mobile mechanic and he seemed like a really nice person on the phone, but communication needs a lot of work. If you plan to schedule something with him, just make sure you check in the day before, the morning of and take the entire day off.

I contacted this company as their availability for mobile on a Saturday was what I needed. After a freak accident on the freeway that left our windshield on the jeep wrangler completely destroyed, I knew that I needed to get it replaced as soon as possible. John’s rates was reasonable and his communication was up to par. He arrived promptly during the day of the appointment and provided insightful information on the repair. I am very pleased with his service and expertise. I’d recommend him to everyone for 2 reasons, his personable trait and his exceptional service. These guys are great!! I called at 9 am Saturday morning looking for a quote to replace my windshield. They gave me the quote, said they had the windshield in stock and they could install the same day. I tried calling 3 other places, no answer. I went online and did a price estimate for the big name company and they quoted me $150 more! So I called these guys back and set my appointment. They took my car back and started working before I even finished filling out the paperwork. Told me it would anywhere from 1.5 to 2 hours to complete the job. They called me back in 45 mins! The job was done quickly and the customer service was outstanding! And no leaks! Thank you American Windshield!

The night before I gave them a call a couple of rocks had smacked my windshield pretty bad while driving and I could hear it cracking. Next morning I gave him a call and explained my situation and I had a 2 hour drive home. Within 5 minutes he gave me a call back saying one was in stock and he’ll be there by 11. Long story short he was AWESOME showed up on time and replaced my mustangs windshield within an hour! I highly recommend John for any window repairs. A window company was charging me almost $500 when I didn’t need my whole window to be replaced, and only needed a portion of my window sealed. I called John, and he gave me a reasonable price to get my windshield sealed back into place. He even showed up at my work to fix it. Excellent customer service. Will be calling him for any other needs I may have in the future.

Found this guy out in the pebble hills area found someone else’s car and asked for a quote for my wife’s car. Gave me a good ballpark quote. I called him a month later when we got the car back from the shop and he showed up the next day and gave us a great price. I called the number listed on Google on May 31, 2022 and John from Optik Clear glass responded at 830am. He said he represented American Windshield Repair. I requested a quote and was verbally quoted $290 to $300. He texted me that actual quote of $360 later that afternoon. I choose to use another service. I gave 3 stars due to response time and quote change.

Excellent experience! Along the way to Pheonix I had gotten a rockchip on my front windshield. When I came back to El Paso, I called this company. John came out to my location quickly and answered all my questions/concerns. He was meticulous on getting the glass just right. It came out better than expected. These folks are great and very welcoming. I appreciate how they treat female customers and don’t use predatory pricing. For me, that is where the rubber meets the to road or the rock hits the windshield. Serious, good warranty, couldn’t tell the repair was there and fast and friendly. Go by and see why this is a good business frequent and recommend.
