Our experience with this specific location wasn’t the greatest. I’d rate them overall one star, because I’m of the opinion that a windshield repair place should have experience dealing with all kinds of collision safety systems across various vehicle manufacturers. We chose the drop-and-go option and left our car there. I took my wife to work. A few hours later, received a message from Gerald (I was told he’s the manager?) stating they weren’t willing to repair the windshield or calibrate the camera due to fault codes. Here’s where I would expect them to understand that, because of the collision system, it’s tied in with everything else—lane departure, traction control, ABS. Due to the camera being out of calibration from the crack in the windshield, the whole system is thrown out of whack and will throw codes in some systems. Our mechanic had already checked this because of the “FCW SYSTEM FAILURE” warning. The only fault currently showing is with the O2 sensor, which needs to be replaced—and the exhaust system has nothing to do with the windshield. We had NO collision system failure prior to the crack, and now we do because of the crack. Extremely disappointed. A lot of time was wasted today for no gain. My feeling is that they didn’t want to do the repair because we declined the overpriced new wipers and “treatment” that amounts to Rain-X. Furthermore, I’d give even more negative stars if I could, because trying to reach a person through Safelite’s AI menu system is atrocious. I was hung up on three separate times and had to retry my call eight different times before I was finally able to reach someone and even then, they couldn't reach this shop with multiple attempts.

Recently went to get my windshield replaced and they did not recalibrate it correctly. When I left we noticed an error system. We figured out the issue right away (via the owners manual) and turned around and went back so they could fix it. They refused. We called customer service and they set us up an appointment for the next day and when we went back in they refused to correct the issue. The customer service at this location is horrific. It one thing to not complete a service or not do it properly, but to not care and to be so dismissive and straight up rude is astounding. I’m not sure how this place stays in business. I’m guessing people don’t have a lot of options for an alternative. Obviously we will never go back there. We now have to go to the dealership to get this corrected and done the right way. In the meantime I will be driving a vehicle that does not have all of its safety features enabled.

I had an appointment scheduled for a windshield this past Tuesday. On Monday, the day before service, safelite called saying the broke the glass in transit and would call me Tuesday morning with a new date they could do it. It is now Saturday and I still haven’t heard from them. Highly unprofessional and frustrating. Not sure if it’s poor management or an employee that needs to do better, but it 💯 needs addressed.

The manager has made me drive out there 2 different times 1 with my family all because he sent automated messages and he didn't even have the parts or anything ready it's been weeks and they still haven't been able to fix my windows for my truck this place is an absolute joke and it's full of incompetent buffoons The manager makes multiple mistakes and will never take fault or accountability this place is a joke

We actually have a national business account with Safelite but this location seems like it’s a bad thing. Manager was very rude and only offered alternatives to their suggestions which resulted in more lies. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get someone one the phone!! I've been trying since 930am this morning. It's 336pm. Had my windshield replaced in October 2024, its already cracked in April 2025. They insist it was impact xaused even though there's no point of impact but if they say that there is than they don't have to honor their "lifetime warranty"

I had my wifes windshield replaced here and paid 500 just to have them mess up the the trim and when she took it back they said there not responsible for cosmetics that they tore up it was fine until your incompatent people bent it so I would not recommend these people to anyone go somewhere else unless you wanna spend on more parts.

Very appreciative of Gerald and his group. We had a windshield put in last April and developed a stress crack in it a couple of weeks ago. They confirmed it was a stress crack and replaced my windshield free of charge without any hassle whatsoever. I highly recommend The Johnson City branch for all of your windshield needs

I didn't care for the grouch working the front discuss politics he ignored me for 10 minutes as well The technician came out and gave me an arm twist to score him high on the survey I was supposed to get e mail I don't understand why you do your job and expect praise I won't be back....uncomfortable atmosphere

I drove the whole here from Kentucky to get my window fixed only for them to cancel my appointment the evening before! My guess is they don’t have the window in stock and just sent you automated messages like you’re coming to get your vehicle fixed complete crap
