Met Danny on 12/27/24 to get the windshield gasket replaced on 1993 GMC van. He suggested that I purchase the windshield just incase it broke when taking it out. That seemed reasonable, so we paid him to order the windshield($300). Two weeks later, no windshield, “still coming”. Two weeks later windshield arrived but he had to order a gasket, two weeks later “they sent the wrong gasket” ordered new one. Two weeks later still wrong gasket. Every two weeks “they sent the wrong gasket”, ”they sent the wrong gasket”. I NEVER was able to get him at the 542 number, always left a message. He usually did call back on a restricted number, that I could only hear every 3rd or 4th word. FINALLY last week, I told him I was going to pick up the van(6 months later). Picked up the van, he says I never paid for the windshield !!!, and I couldn’t take it, unless I paid him. Also the windshield wiper arms had been removed and he couldn’t find them. Took it to Action AutoGlass, waited 3 hours and drove it home.

We were in a bind to get our driver's side, front window repaired. It got stuck in the down position and it was going to storm, so we were trying to find a place that was open on Saturdays. We usually don't leave Johnson City for services, but everywhere else was closed. We got there a little while before they closed, so we were worried that they wouldn't have time to fix our window, but the owner's son went right to work on our issue. He was really diligent in finding the part needed to fix our window, when he could've just told us to go elsewhere or make us come back another day. Within about an hour and a half, it was fixed! We were so relieved to get it done that fast. The owner's son is a really nice guy and I'm glad we took a chance on going there at the last minute like that.

I had a terrible experience with this place. First off, I drop my car off at 10:00am to get my windshield replaced said it would take until about 5-6pm. So, I called, and they said they didn't have it done or anything, so I politely declined and went and got my car, but they were very rude and disrespectful. Okay, so as I got my car back, I get in the car, it smelled like cigarettes and the radio was blaring to 99.3 don't even listen to the radio and the a/c was blasting and then as I got home, I found a sonic receipt in my car. They had used my car as a personal vehicle for the day. There is not much I can do, but I am just warning other people.

This was several years ago. They had me pick the car up after Dark. The windshield wipers were not put on, they were just laying on the windshield. The next morning I realized why, apparently when they put the windshield in, it started cracking in the corner. That's why they didn't finish putting the wipers on and had me come get it after dark. I called them the next morning & talked to the owner about replacing the windshield and he said I would have to pay for a new one, even though it was their workers that had started the crack in it. They refused to give me a new windshield. I would never do business with them again.

After having my windshield cracked while following a truck on the interstate, I took my vehicle to Danny’s Auto Glass & Upholstery, in Elizabethton. Danny was recommended to me by a friend. I went in for an estimate on a Wednesday, Danny had my new windshield in his shop by Thursday and the job was completed satisfactorily by Friday. You get what you pay for is something to keep in mind. He was $200 cheaper than other places but he put deep scratches in my hood and both doors. Cracked one a-pillar cover and the other one is so badly scratched its needs to be replaced which will be easy since it was barely glued down. These repairs will cost much more than the $200 "savings". I should have gone to a reputable company that wont damage your car but if they do they will fix it. Go here if you dont care about your car, go somewhere else if you do.

His work on our windshield was very good, no complaints there. But our RV was on his lot for several weeks and we had many items stolen from the inside of the coach. The person who stole them needed to go all the way to the back of the coach to steal out of the closet and from Kitchen drawers and cabinets. Over $150 in property stolen. He said he would reimburse us since no sign saying not responsible. But after putting us off with the checks in the mail, we finally drove the hour to get reimbursed personally.

Danny was great! Not only did he provide great service on our windshield installment, but he carried on a conversation with us and got to know my husband as a person, not just a customer. Danny was very accommodating and courteous with assisting me given my schedule and traveling. The price for a windshield was excellent and he was very conscientious about doing right by me to assure the work was clean, safe and ready for me to get back on the road. No more huge crack. I purchased a windshield from Danny's, I paid an extra hundred dollars to ship the windshield to his facility. I still have the receipt. Danny now hangs up on my calls under the dilusion that "he" paid for it and won't refund ANYTHING. He avoids my calls and hung up on me....AVOID THIS FACILITY
