It is rare these days to find an owner and a company who really understand the meaning of customer service, and treat you as if you really matter to them. Such was our experience with Don and his staff at Rapid Auto Glass. It is with pleasure and gratitude that I write this review of our experience there. We were on vacation, and had the unfortunate experience of a big bird smashing into our windshield while we were traveling at highway speed late at night. After several calls to auto glass repair businesses in Rapid City next morning, we ended up on Don's doorstep, not knowing what to expect. Don was very welcoming, and immediately went into action. In the process, he even caught a part number error made by a different repair shop.He arranged for the correct part to be ordered and delivered, and installed it promptly and professionally the next morning. It was quite obvious that he knew exactly what needed to be done. He graciously arranged for us to use a loaner vehicle while ours was being repaired, which was something he did not have to do. It certainly made our stay much more enjoyable, as we were able to take in some of the surrounding sights. I can only say that if you choose to do business with Don and his staff at Rapid Auto Glass, you will not be disappointed. So we were unlucky and a huge truck decided to fling a huge rock into our 2020 Chevy truck windshield leaving a humongous crack. Of course it happened on a weekend so we were unable to do anything, without spending a ton, till Monday. My wife called and Don was able to get her in same day. Not only was he nice enough to get us in right away to make sure the crack did not spread but did not over charge us at all. Once repaired he guaranteed his service and stated if it happened to keep spreading he would take off the amount we paid on a new windshield. So if you want great, fast, dependable and extremely polite service do yourself a favor and contact Rapid Auto Glass TODAY!!!! They will not screw over people for a few extra bucks. Our sunroof was shattered going through construction on our way out to the black hills for vacation and we figured our chances of getting a new one during our trip was pretty slim. We called Rapid Auto Glass and they said they had a used one that was a match and he could get us in on short notice! I brought our kids to a museum and my husband planned to drop the car off and get a Lyft to us and then back to the shop when finished. Don at Rapid Auto Glass was so, SO kind to insist on giving my husband a ride back to us and then picked him back up when the car was done in a couple short hours. We tried tipping him for being so nice and helpful but Don would not take it and insisted on us spending it on our kids on vacation 🥹🤍 And on top of all that kindness, flawless work and appears as if nothing ever happened. After being ignored at Safelite for 45 mins I left and ended up at Rapid Auto Glass based on posted reviews. Boy I could not have picked a better place and wish I came here first. After receiving a stone chip during a move from PA my daughters windshield needed repaired. Don took a look and had me come back the next morning to complete the repair. He was a pleasure to talk with and assured us he could also provide her with any mechanical work she needed. Rapid Auto Glass will be her go to place. We are traveling from Indiana to the Seattle area and were unlucky in that the South Dakota state bird decided to crash into our windshield while cruising along on I-90. The driver's side was completely shattered. Rapid City was the next big area on our map so I googled glass shops to see if anyone possibly had a windshield for my 1989 Chevy Suburban. Rapid City Glass was my first call and Don assured me he had one in stock. We were a couple hours away but made our way there and he and his employee had the new one installed and had us back on the road in good time at a reasonable cost. Don was amazing. I caught a rock chip on my windshield on my way through the area. Don got me in the next morning. He did great work and gave excellent customer service. I saw him assist another out of towner. He could have easily taken advantage of their situation, but was honest and sent them in their way happily. I highly recommend seeing Don for your windshield needs. For Don: thanks for the suggestion to head to the Hippie Hole. The waterfall was nice, but the mud hooked on the road were even better ... adding even more layers to my paint job than you had seen in the shop. Thanks for adding to this nomads memories!

We were on vacation and got a chip in the windshield. By the time we got to a decent sized town, the chip was a large and growing crack. I read the reviews and called Don at Rapid Auto Glass. We really needed to get this fixed without too much change to out travel plans. Don checked, gave me some great advice even though it might've cost him business. I am so so glad my insurance company would work with him. Don keeps his word, does the job when he says he will, on time, and perfect. I highly recommend him for any service he offers. What a great experience! He saved our vacation and is just a really nice man.

Some of the best customer service I have ever received in my life. Our large passenger van was the victim of some pretty severe vandalism; we only found out a few hours prior to a performance, and Don went out of his way to help us out and get the van to his shop so we wouldn't have to worry about it. He also got us the very best deal on the three large windows the vandals shattered, and had it repaired lightning fast. We took a rock to the windshield as we were leaving the Grand Tetons heading for Mt. Rushmore. We checked on line for glass shops in Rapid City and Rapid Auto Glass had great reviews so we chose them. We had a great experience with Don, the owner. He lent us a mini van to go do things in town while our windshield got replaced. We were able to park our 36 foot travel trailer in the lot next to the shop while the work was done. Don treated us very well and service was done at a very fair price. We feel like we've made a new friend.

Don gave me a very affordable quote on replacing my windshield. He made sure I knew that I probably did not need to have a calibration done as most times they can replace the windshield in a Subaru Forester without needing to do it. That saved me a lot of money as everything worked just fine without getting the calibration done. Don also met me after hours to drop my car off to help work into my schedule. He went well above and beyond. They did a wonderful job and would do business with Don again in a heartbeat. Thank you Don!!!
