Really had a good experience. After I got my quote I was able to make an appointment that fit my schedule. Went to my appointment and was told it would take about 45 minutes, they had complementary coffee and sodas while I waited and it only took about a half hour. The technician told me everything he did and if I had any problems to call them and if the window would crack more and needed replaced the cost of the repair would go towards the cost of a new windshield. When I paid for the repair the woman behind the desk told me the same thing the technician told me. I would definitely refer anyone to Safelite Autoglass in Lancaster in the Wheatland Shopping Center

It was easy to contact Safelite by phone. I only had to wait a few minutes to speak to a representative. I had my pick of installation dates and choice of location to complete the replacement of my damaged windshield. The representative was very patient and answered all my questions and made sure I understood everything. The technician who came to my house was very friendly and professional. He knew exactly what needed to be done and did his job in a very efficient manner. I couldn’t be happier with the whole process and hope I never need Safelite’s services again but if I need another windshield replaced, I will be using Safelite again.

If I could give zero stars I would!! Tech came to my work to replace my windshield. Laughed in my face and drove off when he realized he had the wrong glass and almost took my windshield off before realizing. Came back the next day with the right one and replaced it. The interior of my car is light tan and he left black fingerprints all over the inside of my car!!! Dash was covered in black stuff as well as my steering wheel and a black stain on my drivers seat! Got an apology from the girl at the desk but manager has not called me back and it’s been 2 days! Never again will I go to safelite for anything.

My insurance company scheduled me to have a cracked windshield replaced by this location; in hindsight, I really wish they hadn’t. When the work was completed, there were numerous issues; the windshield molding wasn’t properly reinstalled, the dashboard was marred, the trim for both the front driver and passenger side doors had imprints of the service technician’s boots, the interior had little bits of rubber everywhere, and the camera system was not properly calibrated and had dust in the window where it was located; the calibration was something I didn’t figure out until I was on the road a few days later and hundreds of miles from home when the safety mechanisms of the car would try to “correct” itself and steer me outside of the lines or brake for phantom vehicles unexpectedly while at highway speeds. This latter event occurred multiple times. I tried to remedy these issues myself, and reached out to the location. I was told that it was essential for the techs to stand on the trim during replacement, and the other issues would be evaluated if I brought the car in right away; this was not an option due to travel plans and a general distrust that the store would not effectively remedy these issues because of how the work was performed the first time around. I was also provided with an alternate Safelite location to visit, but I still can’t trust these people because the person suggesting it noted she was related to someone at the alternate location. Having taken my vehicle to a dealer two days ago for an oil change and a recall, the dealer confirmed that the camera system wasn’t correctly calibrated and needed to correct it. This came at an additional cost for me. While I appreciate the efforts of the front desk person to try to offer to “make things right” and am reflecting that accordingly in my rating, I still can’t recommend this location’s services because there shouldn’t have been this many issues snd it shouldn’t have come to this. I would advise to stay away and have any replacements done at a dealership.

Safelite came to replace my rear windshield today and ended up denting / cracking my spoiler and knocking the paint off of the white smaller spoiler on the top of the car. He denied the denting the spoiler. The pictures that he took beforehand showed that there was not a dent or crack there before the start of the service. I witnessed him shaking the tailgate hard so hard that the entire car was bouncing. He was trying to get all the loose glass out and but he had my spoiler on top which caused the dent and the paint was chipped on the smaller spoiler. Both parts obviously banged into each other. Wires are visible showing after the service because parts were not properly installed back correctly. There is also loose glass still rattling in the tailgate that I can still hear while driving. The technician also did not place any screws back in the tailgate on the handles. When I called this to his attention, he placed in these plastic circular plugs that are loose and not secure. I really wish I would have had this service completed at Acura which is where I purchased the car. I sent to the photos to safelite and my insurance company so hopefully I can get my car fixed the right way by Acura and not Safelite. I wish I could post the before and after photos here with post. I uploaded them but they haven’t showed up yet. (4) days later since I went to Safelite’s local location to speak to a supervisor but was told that he was too busy to come out and talk to me, I also sent two emails, and called several times and was left twice on a call que that doesn’t give you an option to speak to a live representative I still have yet to receive a call from a supervisor.

I'm not sure if this is an issue with the corporate office or the local office but getting an appointment has been an issue. My first appointment was cancelled because the technician was only available in the morning before my appointment was scheduled. I was told by the road technician that I had to call the York office to cancel my appointment and schedule a new one. So I did just that called the York office and cancelled my appointment and asked if I could schedule an appointment at their mechanicsburg location rather than at my home. I was told that was possible and was given the number for the Mechanicsburg location to cancel and schedule when I was ready. I then called the Mechanicsburg location and provided them with my work order number as my insurance would be covering the replacement. After scheduling this appointment with the Mechanicsburg office I was called about an hour later to confirm my appointment which I had been told was scheduled for the York office. I then corrected this issue having the representative change the location to Mechanicsburg. But the 2 things that have caused me to write this review are 1) why was the original appointment scheduled if the tech wouldn't be in my area until later in the day 2) why did it seem like everyone I talked to today was scrambling to figure out what was going on. I did all the work to schedule an appointment, cancel an appointment (that still worked for me), schedule another appointment, and change the new appointment location which was not properly updated on the work order.

I had a windshield replaced on my 2013 Honda Pilot on January 4, 2025. Nine days later on January 13, 2025 the paint in the middle of the roof directly against the windshield began to peel away. I immediately took the car back to Safelite on Memory Lane in York PA. I spoke with the manager who said his name is Rick but would not give me his last name. Rick was very combative and insisted that Safelite had no fault and was not willing to help with the repair. I called customer service and requested that someone else look at the problem and specifically asked for someone from a location other than Memory Lane. On January 16, 2025 a technician named Jacob came to my house. Jacob took his time to explain the situation and was very good at customer service. Unfortunately Jacob works for the Memory Lane location and explained that Rick would have final say on the situation. I have had no more communication with Safelite, I requested communion from a regional rep and my request was ignored. I used Safelite because my insurance company has an agreement with your company. This complaint was not handled to my satisfaction.

Safelite Auto Glass put in a windshield in my Nissan and the amazing thing about Safelite is they will come to you. The Safelite technician called me ahead of time before showing up which I thought was great. He showed on time. The Safelite technician was very professional. The Safelite technician explained everything he was going to be doing. He had a great attitude and I would recommend this technician again. I wish I could remember his name because he really deserves to know that he did an amazing job. I love it when someone is doing a job for you that they are friendly and just down to earth and it just shows how they love doing their job. I would give Safelite 10 stars but it only allows 5 stars.I Would recommend Safelite to anyone who needs a windshield. This was the Safelite in York PA

Been dealing with the process for over three weeks. I was told an OEM windshield would take two weeks, I was fine with that. Three weeks later, no call back. I called them Wednesday to get an update and was told they would reach out to parts and get back to me, never called back. I called into the corporate center and reached someone. She put me in touch with York again. I was then told they were going to see when the update was and reach out to me first thing Friday. You get where this is going right? It is now Friday at 3:00 and surprise, no call back even after being assured over and over again that they were leaving notes to get back to me. This place is the biggest joke out there. Here I am, still no update on my glass. Lazy people

The service was great and fast! I never had a windshield repaired before so I wasn't sure about it. The guy that helped me looked at the windshield, quickly explained the whole process to me and told me how long it would take. He mentioned that he had been in the business for a long time so I would expect most people to be visibly annoyed at explaining the same thing to customers many times but he was not. He was very informative and straight to the point without making me feel rushed. Overall it was a great experience and I wouldn't hesitate to come back.
