I'm afraid there's no good way to condense my saga of an experience with this Safelite location. Upon my first visit it was determined that the crack in my windshield couldn't be repaired, so they had to order a new windshield. I asked, "It will be the same windshield, correct?" and the man behind the counter agreed. Luckily a coworker of mine explained his experience with Safelite using OEE unless you explicitly use the phrase "OEM," at which point I called and they indeed did not order the same windshield but an equivalent from a different manufacturer. After that hurdle was cleared, I came in to have the windshield replaced, and noticed after arriving home with wind coming under it the whole drive back that my plastic antenna had been broken off. Luckily we did a walk around the entire car before work started and photos were taken to document the condition, so it would be easy to file this claim and have the antenna repaired. Wrong. After filing an online claim and calling corporate twice, I was finally connected to the repair location half a week later. When reviewing the before photos of the car (which I was never allowed to see), the manager made it clear that the antenna wasn't shown. I explained how this is a problem since the photos were to document damage, and therefore the antenna likely wasn't snapped off between my house and the repair shop. I then asked if he could review security footage to confirm, and he quickly became indignant at that assumption and made it clear that no cameras are on site, but he would look at the damage when I brought the car in to have the window reapplied so that air wouldn't seep under it. After showing him the antenna, he said it couldn't possibly have been them since it wasn't in the "area of work" (obviously). I then asked how it could have broken off on the 4-mile drive home, and he explained that "anything can happen." As an architect, I have a reasonable understanding of physics and material composition, and for wind to break through half an inch of plastic on a 40 mph road would require divine intervention. I therefore was out three Saturdays, the cost of a windshield, and the cost of a new antenna after trying to have a crack repaired at Safelite. As they told me, "anything can happen there," and they clearly have absolutely no liability and accept no accountability, so it is entirely not worth the hassle. Take your car to a dealer that values its reputability and pride in craft. Ps. The photo that is used to identify this site is a photo of a different location. Street view will give an accurate depiction.

Bad business, little experience with higher end vehicles…their mobile rep cancelled his appointment over the phone due to traffic…but stated safelite would handle everything…including sensor calibration to inspection sticker transfer….4 days after our service our dash is lit up like a Christmas tree and need to drive nearly 2 hrs each way to the dealership who performed the inspection for replacement stickers…one tech said the rock chip could be fixed “No Problem” then bc of the rain (Weather) they asked me to bring it to their shop. There we were told we def needed a new windshield and the mobile reps info ….. we must have misheard. Didn’t have to remember as all interactions were audio/video recorded. Also missing docs/receipts that were left of the passenger seat, along with our ez pass, inspection stickers and they want me to bring the vehicle back…I will trade it in before I deal with safelite

Setting appointment was easy enough. Customer service was friendly. I have a couple of issues. 1. When I made the appointment I was told I would get OEM windshield (I needed a full replacement). After installation I was told they put in an aftermarket windshield because my insurance would have charged extra. I just would have appreciated someone letting me know this up front. 2. Apparently it is state law for them not to stick on back your inspection stickers. So these guys cut out the glass wrapped it up and handed it to me. I now have to go pay a mechanic to put this on for me as there's no way I can get it off the piece of glass and do so in a way that I can stick this back on again. And I can't ride around without inspection stickers showing. Please safelight let folks know upfront that this additional cost is expected of them. It would be greatly appreciated.

It went from noticeable to really noticeable smh! My experience with Safelite Repair and technician **Souky** was frustrating due to a complete lack of communication. Despite submitting detailed photos, he failed to set proper expectations after physically inspecting the damage, merely stating that the results were "the best they could do" without any explanation. No warranty details were covered, and basic service steps—like cleaning the windows, as shown in Safelite’s own videos—were ignored. This disconnect between advertised service and actual execution made the experience incredibly disappointing. Clear communication should be a given in any auto repair service, but Safelite fell short. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Used Safelite to replace my old 2002 windshield on my F150 truck. Joe came out and did a great job. First he hit me up a half hour before arriving. Be nice if ALL service related companies did that! Joe took the time to explain how he was going to do the job. Took the extra time to clean up the surrounding areas of the windshield. Replaced my wiper arms for me, even though I had only paid for wiper blade replacement. He covered the hood and made sure no paint got disturbed in any way. Cleaned up everything when he was done. Left me with instructions and tips to keep my new windshield new. What a nice product and highly professional installation to go with it. Would not even think of calling anyone else in the future

Funny enough, I went over 45 years of my life without getting a broken windshield and I have literally had three windshield replacements on two different vehicles in the last three years. Every single time I went to Safelite on Baltimore Pike in Springfield and they have always, done an amazing job. They communicate throughout the entire process, you receive text messages with updates. And typically the vehicles are done in about an hour. I have never done the at home service as personally I just feel that they may do a better job in their own shop, but my three experiences at their shop have been great

I needed a chip in my windshield fixed. It was very easy to schedule an appointment online. They sent me a friendly reminder as well. When i got there the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They said it would take 45 minutes for the work to be completed. It was done in 40. (I'm pretty critical) I inspected the work and they technician did an excellent job. I was paying put of pocket and the young woman at the front desk informed me i may be able to have my insurance cover it and they are. I had an exceptional experience at this place and i would highly recommend 👌

So I brought my car to get a chip fixed which is covered when we purchased our car extra protection plan it covers windshield chips and cracks. The chip was size of dime and they went to fill in chip and ended up making it crack about 6 inches and then tell me windshield needs to be replace. Now they say they are not responsible and to call our insurance!!!!! The whole point of purchasing extra protection plan was to not go thru insurance and they’re the reason it needs to be replaced!!!!! Not even there 10 minutes and made it worse won’t take NO accountability what so ever

I had a WONDERFUL experience with Safelite and our technician, Jalen. He was so kind and prompt with his communication. He let me know when he was on his way and then called me when he arrived and when he was done with the service. The windshield looked great and we’ve had no issues with it since. I also reached out to Safelite about getting my wiper blades replaced as that was to be included as part of the windshield replacement. Jalen came back out to me and replaced them two days after I reached out. Truly great customer service all the way around. Thank you, Jalen!

This company doesn’t stand behind their work. I had a windshield replaced last year and the molding they used is falling off. I called customer service and they said they would send someone out on Saturday. Well I waited 4 hours and no one showed. I went into my appointment and someone from Safelite had cancelled my appointment. I guess they don’t honor their work. Extremely disappointed with this company as I have had the same moulding issue on another different vehicle where Safelite had replaced the windshield. Avoid this location.
