I do not write many reviews but I felt obligated to right this one. I have a good job and have encountered many challenging situations along the way, and there's come a time when a honest review is needed on a poor customer experience. I walked in the door with my male friend because I realized after one phone and one live conversation, the only way a semi-respectful conversation could happen - rather than confrontation - would be if I brought a guy with me. We walked in the place & the owner started with "Oh, I see your brought your armour today". Nice! What a way to set the tone with a customer. And since we spoke the day prior & my arrival was not "expected" I can only wonder what it would have been like if he was aggitated. We all make choices, and I choose to go to place that knows there's stuff AND treats you with respect. I share this because I thought chauvenism was by the wayside or closeted with those who work with customers, but that's clearly not the case based on this experience. I have found a new auto expert to address my car's leak and although I did not like the news, we always had respectful interactions. Pretty basic stuff right? Well...maybe not so basic after all.

I got a quote from Steve to get my driver side window and my passenger side window to be replaced both for $315. When I went to pick my car up the next day when it was finished he gave me a quote of about $465. That is completely unprofessional and it he denied giving the original quote, And told me that I can come back tomorrow and pick up my car so that he can take the windows out as if I’m going to drive around without windows. Oh I ended up taking my car that day but I will never do business with them again, and I know plenty of people that Steve did the same thing too, gave them one quote at first and then when they picked up the car gave them a totally different price. If I was able to give 0 stars then I gladly would. This place is a scam. I went in to get my back window replaced and come home to my driver side window not being able to roll down and up without the weather stripping tearing off, to which the owner responded "dont roll the window down and it'll be fine." "It was like that when you dropped the car off in the shop." Are you serious? Dont roll down my window? It was already like that? Ive been rolling my window up and down for months w.o any problem so dont tell me it was already like that because thats some bs. Come in with a broken part and leave with a new broken part created by Steves Auto Glass. The owner agreed to fix the problem he created but at the cost of an additional fee. Complete rip off and completely unprofessional business.

This company made us a replacement for the side glass. when we arrived to pick up the car, we saw two deep scratches on the body, next to where the glass was changing and traces of trying to fix it. the owner of the service did not admit his mistake and did not correct it, although he promised to fix it. As a result, we now have more problems than we had before the glass replacement, because the car is on lease and we will have to eliminate the mistakes of inept workers of Steve's avto Glases for our money. I don't know what's going on with all of these other reviewers, and frankly I don't really care. I almost didn't go to Steve's Auto Glass because of what I read here, but I decided to call ahead and get a quote. The guy who answered was totally nice, and patient and said he could replace my broken window for $140 in an hour. Not only did he live up to this promise, he also cleaned all the broken glass from by seat. Steve's Auto Glass really exceeded my expectations, and would have done so even if they weren't lowered by all these negative reviews. Whether or not the owners added some fake reviews, it doesn't matter. This is some quality service.

My drivers side window got busted. I was referred to Steve's because I was told they are polite, courteous, reasonable price, shop is clean and most of all they can do the job the same day. Well, with all that said I found this to be very TRUE. I called them at 8:30 am but they missed my call and I didn't leave a message for my service. At 8:35 am they called me back and I stated my service and he stated that he will order my glass and to arrive to the shop at 10:30 am. I arrived to the shop my glass was there and I was out of the shop within 1 hr. STEVE'S AUTO IS THE #1 SHOP IN NORTHEAST PHILLY!!!

They were the fastest, most affordable, friendliest, absolute best ! I live near Center City and called every shop in town; they were the only one who could get my rear window done the next day (after someone smashed it overnight) AND they had a better price than almost anyone else. Steve even let me leave my car in his shop overnight so that further damage/breaking in wasn’t done to it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND ! This place is wonderful. My side window was smashed when someone broke into my car. I called Steve’s first thing in the morning when they opened, and they had the window for my car make & model in stock at their warehouse. They told me the window would arrive to their shop at 10:30. I went there and it was less than an hour wait. The window was replaced and the glass was vacuumed out. Couldn’t be happier with them. They also gave me the lowest price of all the places I called. If you need a new window, this is the best place.

I have a 2023 chevy equinox with collision warning system in the windshield so its more expensive to replace. I was looking for quality workmanship, not price. And quality is what I recieved! It cost me what they quoted, no games-$783 total. They said three hours and it was done in two, again no games. They even cut out my inspection stickers from my old windshield so I could duct tape it to my new windshield! I'm completely satisfied and if you want quality over price, I highly recommend the steves Auto Glass!

Recently had a Windshield broken on my older Acura. Called another chain place to get an estimate and couldn't believe the extra surcharges for replacing a windshield. Called Steve's on a Monday and arranged to leave the car at their key drop over night. Next day by noon the car was finished and at a very fair price. Installation looks flawless and they saved my stickers for me as well. Stick with local business. They still know how to treat a customer.
