Auto Glass Installed

In January 2024, Rich replaced the windshield on my 2022 Nissan Leaf. At the time he replaced it he asked me if my car had Nissan ProPliot feature (driving assistance) which I confirmed. A higher price windshield is needed to be compatible with this feature - he explained to me that the system is calibrated to cameras are connected to the windshield. He charged me accordingly and replaced my windshield expeditiously same-day (I have to give him credit for this). As this is a feature I use rarely, I didn't recognize that ProPilot would no longer engage until 2 months later when I was driving on the highway and saw the feature was grayed out. I took it to my local dealership, who were quickly able to identify the failure to re-calibrate the cameras and ProPilot system following after-market glass replacement as the cause. I called Rich to discuss this and he denied having anything to do with the issue and actually claimed he never told me anything about the ProPilot calibration issues (which I actually learned about from him). This is a cash only business with limited record keeping and recourse for issues like mine. I'm rather disappointed in Rich that he denied even the possibility of his repair causing this issue (despite the evidence for this). Even more, he tried to argue with me that he knows better than the Nissan dealership mechanics and lied to me about what he said when I had my windshield replaced. His place a of business is probably perfectly fine for simple glass repairs but cars have become quite complex and he should not be offering repairs without the appropriate expertise. The driving assistance features are not just a luxury feature but affect the vehicle's safety, as they can engage automatic braking etc. This business should not take on jobs it cannot handle.

Horrible! The owner returned my call after my driver's side window was broken, he claimed that the junkyard he gets windows from had the window I needed and as long as I got my car in there soon it would be done that day, however it was not. I called the next day and he was very rude, yelling at me about how it was "out of his hands" and all of the sudden it had to get shipped in and he could not guarantee me when it would be done. I explained that I've already missed two days of work and he continued to yell at me and threatened me if I called again I could just "come pick up my van and he wouldn't do any work" so I found a different shop with a lower price and went to pick up my van from his shop. When I got there he tried to make me pay him $50 for nothing, he did no work at all yet tried to keep my keys until I gave him $50. After refusing multiple times he finally gave me my keys and I took it to a different shop, work was done within 30 minutes from a different shop who was also cheaper. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE TIME TO WASTE AND WANNA SPEND MORE FOR CHEAPER QUALITY WORK. Absolutely the most unprofessional person I've ever dealt with.

STAY AWAY! I Had a crack in my windshield and took it in to get replaced. When I went to pick my car up the car was scratched all around the windshield, the inside left panel was cracked which needed to be replaced, the rear view mirror mount was hanging off, the car was filthy, and the windshield was not even properly placed. Rich did have the scratches fixed by a local body shop and ordered a new side panel, but refused to correct the windshield that was sunk in and not done properly. I was charged $325 dollars and was without a car for 5 days because it was in the shop getting re-painted. Rich did not offer me and refund for the inconvenience. I highly advise avoiding this place at all costs. The price to have it done cheaper was not worth what it cost me in the long run.

My car was broken into overnight. The junkie tried prying my door open with a crowbar, bending the frame, and when that didn't work, smashed my window. Upon recommendation of my normal neighborhood garage, I called Auto Glass Installed to see about replacing the window. The guy there said to bring it around whenever I can. Within two hours, Auto Glass Installed replaced the window, was able to bend the frame back in place, vacuumed up the remnants of broken glass and cleaned up dirt the junkie left behind on the door and steering wheel. AND...they did it at a very reasonable rate. Highly recommend this to anyone in Fishtown that needs good, quick work done. They went the extra mile.

On a holiday weekend we had our front passenger window broken out. After making an appointment at Safelite for several days out and several hundred dollars, I found this shop in our neighborhood. Since it was a holiday the shop was closed but I called and left a message. Got a call the next morning from the owner as soon as the shop opened, got an extremely reasonable quote, and had the car in 20 minutes later. It was done by noon. The owner couldn't have been nicer. Someone popped my window with a crowbar and ransacked my car (‘19 Nissan Rogue). I called first thing in the morning got a great quote and had my window replaced by 4pm same day on a Friday. I didn’t even have to clean the shattered glass up, it was already vacuumed upon pick up. My car was broken into and one window was completely shattered. Rich gave me a quote right away and was able to replace it the next morning at a very reasonable price. He also cleaned up all the glass that I didn’t get a chance to clean up before dropping off my car. I had a great experience and I would definitely recommend using his business for window replacements

2 car windows were busted, found this place on Google bc i live in fishtown, he answered the phone right away, got a quote (which was cheaper then if I had gone through my insurance's deductible) got me in the next day, replaced them both and vaccumed all the shattered glass, car look amazing! Great service and location! Definitely reccomend:)

My car was broken into and passenger window was shattered... Owner here got back to me quickly and offered a very fair quote for fixing the window compared to other places I called. On top of making the repair sooner than expected and doing a quality job, he also vacuumed up the shattered glass. One less headache to deal with. Recommend.
