Got a chip on my new ride coming across I-80 on a Sunday. Called my insurance agency on Monday to find out if covered. It was with a $0 deductible since only a chip not a crack. ($500 deductible if had cracked & the cost could've been in the $228-278 range I believe if it did need a new windshield). So Wednesday I was able to make time in my day called their Insurance Companies Autoglass repair number around noon, got scheduled for 2:30 and was back on the road before 4PM with a barely noticeable dot from the chipped area, and a warranty on the repair. Great service, would recommend if you have a chip to give them a chance to fix it before the chip begins to spider out.
