Abe's Auto Glass & More

After Safelite turned down my windshield for having "a little rust," I searched for a local shop. Abe's wasn't afraid of the rust on my 22 year old Honda, and even had a well-priced solution for it. They were cleanly, prompt, and had such great customer service! Initially, they went out of their way to schedule me so that I could come in on just my lunch break. Once they saw the rust damage, they took me out and explained the options, saying that it was entirely possible to put the windshield on without fixing the underpinnings. Since the fix was so affordable, I elected to have it done, and pick my car up the next day. When I called to say I was on my way, they were so considerate that they pulled my car into the shade. This really struck me since I don't have air conditioning. Turns out they will do other work than just glass, and they are quoting my ac system! 5/5 will patronize again, and am happy to have found a place that understands my old, beaten up car like Lawrence's used to.

Do NOT go here. Took my car in to replace the windshield and clean up some rust. Paid extra out of pocket to cover the bodywork. After the first day I could hear wind coming through the urethane strip. And when it rained my interior got drenched. Took it back and they just tried to plug the hole up. When that didn’t work, they said “there’s no warrantee” then continued to give me the runaround about “still waiting to hear back from the boss”. I was able to file another insurance claim to get someone else to work on it and saw the original rust spots on the car. They didn’t take it to bare metal and the strip could have been pulled right off by hand. Horrible experience. Don’t give them your money.

After calling multiple glass shops in the Toledo area I finally came across Abe's Auto Glass. From start to finish everything was very easy. I had a quote on my windshield within minutes and they didn't need any more than my vehicle information to give me a price (a few places wanted my name, address, phone number, etc. just to get a price!). They were far cheaper than any other shop around and they were able to schedule the work for the next day. I was at the shop for less than one hour and left with a flawless new windshield. I couldn't be happier and wish I hadn't wasted time getting quotes anywhere else. I highly recommend them for all of your glass repair needs.

After calling Sonic Auto, and them advising my request was unusual and they couldn’t help me because I wasn’t getting an actual service, I stopped in Abe’s for assistance. My driver’s window fell down, and was stuck as the regulator needs to be replaced(my car is under warranty and the dealership will replace the regulator for free but no appointments for 2 weeks). I asked them to manually pull my window back up while I wait on my appointment. They did it willingly and right on the spot! I asked how much do I owe, and they said NOTHING!!!! Thank you so much for your help and great experience! I would definitely recommend them.

** Update *** 12/2/24 Wont answer my calls or the BBB calls to resolve this issue what a joke of a business. DO NOT GO HERE. absolutely awful place, we talked them of an electrical issue that will cause the car to die unless they hold the shifter while turning the car off. They did not remember to do so and let the car die, they improperly jumped the car and blew several fuzes. Which I had to diagnose and fix myself. They also chipped the paint incredibly bad while taking the old windshield off. I will be reporting them to the BBB. This place should not be in business this is absolutely pathetic DO NOT GO HERE.

Made a few phone calls for pricing to replace my windshield, Abe's was competitively priced, as well as having some great reviews. I made an appointment and my windshield was replaced in less than an hour AND it cost less that what was quoted to me over the phone! I also enjoyed some great conversation with Julia in the office! They even transferred my "oil change reminder sticker" from my old windshield to my new one. It's locally owned and such nice people there. Great price, great experience, great people…I would highly recommend Abe's any time.

Needed to have my windshield repaired on my van and called around to a number of repair places. Abe's was by far the least expensive and he got me in right away. I was able to watch Eric work, and he was quick but exacting. It's obvious that he is a pro with a lot of experience, so you can trust him with your "baby". My new windshield was a dead on exact replacement, and the trim was replaced perfectly. It was completely water tight, and it's just amazing how much clearer a new windshield is! Highly recommended!

My insurance company transferred me directly to one of the large glass repair companies. Once I found I was being over-priced I shopped around. Abe's had the best price. I worried that the quality might suffer, but I decided to try them. They did a great job! My vehicle was returned to me with a nice clean windshield, and they had cleaned the dash area also. I really can't think of anything that could ave been done better when it comes to quality of service. I will definitely use them again if I have a similar need.

The rear view mirror for my 2018 dodge journey had been off for a year, I tried calling places who wanted $100 or more to put back on. I called Abe's to see what they could do.. Dave said stop by and he can check it out , took him not even 30 secs to put it back on for a small fee!!! Dave was very professional and great to speak with!! Way quicker turnaround than any local competitors I could find. My window was broken while I was visiting Toledo for the weekend and I needed it fixed before leaving town on Monday. I called around to places open on Saturday and Abe's was the only glass repair shop that could even get the pane delivered prior to the coming Thursday.
