Defender Auto Glass - Mentor

I can not say enough about this place! Obviously, having a cracked or damaged windshield is never a good thing, but these folks made a bad situation so much better. Scheduling was a breeze with a few quick questions they had the correct windshield available and made it super simple for me to make an appointment. We called a couple of competitors, and without a doubt, Defender had the best pricing in the area. Plus, they gave me a very well appreciated veteran discount. On the day of the appointment, my installer Matt called ahead of time and let us know when he would be arriving. He was very nice and super knowledgeable he had the entire job done in less than 1 hour. The windshield looks fantastic, and it is an identical match. We could not be happier with the results. I would recommend these guys to everybody you will not be disappointed with the price and the quality of work!!

After reading the reviews I thought this would be a good place to get my windshield. Smh. They came out after installing my windshield I was informed that cuz of the roof damage they can't give me a warranty. 8 months later water is leaking in my car from the windshield. I gave them a call the lady tell me call back in 2 days and they'll set something up for somebody to come out and look at it. I called back and now they're telling me that they see that they can't honor my warranty. So now instead of sending someone out they want me to drive it out there for them to check it out. I live in brookpark and they're in mentor. One they should have informed me before putting the windshield in about the roof damage in the warranty. Two they should be able to do something to help me with the water leaking in my car. I guess a lesson learned.

I highly recommend Defender Auto Glass. Their prices were the best and their customer service went above beyond. They sent out a technician the next day. He was professional, polite and finished the job quickly. The next day, I noticed a small distortion in the windshield on the passenger side affecting an area less than an inch. Although the distortion may have been within OEE manufacturer's tolerance (my thoughts, not theirs), Debbie said they would get a new windshield and send someone out to replace it. They wanted to ensure 100% satisfaction. Within a day, a tech was out and quickly swapped them out. The replacement looks great. Defender carries top tier OEE windshields made by companies who supply many of the OEM glass (examples PGW, Pilkington), along with the OEM option as well.

Getting a quote over the phone was nice & easy. No auto garbage. The lady was super nice & helpful. I wasn't home when they came to replace my windshield, but they came early, which I appreciated. Only thing is they left the invoice on truck's seat and my entire bank card#, including exp date and cvv# was on it. Wish they would've placed it face down or in my visor. Also, they left both doors unlocked. Not real happy about that either since I live in a condo and don't have a private drive and park where anyone can walk by and see tge invoice/unlocked doors. Other than that, I'd recommend them to anyone.

Our windshield was cracked on a weekend and I filed an insurance claim shortly after. I realized then that I forgot to up our glass policy and full replacements were running $500 for the deductible. A few calls later and I canceled the insurance claim. Defender was less than the deductible and did the job the very next day. I received a call when the technician was in-route. He was professional and quick, removing, cleaining, and replacing the windshield. Provided all the info on when I could drive, what do to, etc. Would recommend 10/10.

I called around different places and everybody was extremely high in price I called defender Auto Glass in mentor and they had a very reasonable price for changing the windshield on my Jeep I was able to get an appointment right away they came to my home and did it right in my driveway Jesse was extremely kind and efficient on his work we have another truck that needs a windshield and we definitely will be calling defender Auto Glass for that truck as well I highly recommend this company !!!

I needed to supply the glass and Defender gave me an install-only price that was very reasonable. They allowed me to leave the glass at their shop a couple days ahead of my appointment, which was very helpful. I was able to get the car to them early on the appointed day and they were able to have the work done ahead of schedule. I was impressed with their friendliness, helpfulness, and the quality of work.Everyone was great, especially Rich! Thank you and your team very much.

I’m extremely pleased with the back window repair I received. Tyler did an excellent job, demonstrating great attention to detail throughout the process. The service was not only top notch but also efficient… my car was in and out within a day, and it was ready to roll in just an hour after the repair! The entire experience was smooth and hassle free, and I truly appreciate the outstanding service. I’ll be sure to recommend this shop to others in the area!

I had to call Defender a few times for some questions I had And each time I got on the phone with someone I was treated with respect and kindness, and just general, excellent professional professionalism. Jon was the gentleman who replaced my windshield and was very prompt very polite and very quick. I will recommend Defender to anyone who asks. I enjoyed the experience. Also their prices were better than other companies I called.

Defender was so easy to work with! I had a rock chip my windshield driving home from NC and placed a claim with my insurance and choose Defender as my repair facility. Debbie called me within 20 minutes of placing my claim and arranged to have their mobile guys come out to the D&S East Mentor facility for a heated garage to repair it. They were quick and got me repaired in the window they said they would. High recommend.
