Safelite Auto Glass

I had the back window of my truck replaced at this location 2 yrs ago. The replacement went well enough and I thought I got a good price and service. Now two years later, the window shattered, for no apparent reason, while I was driving down the highway. I called for a warranty claim, since nothing I did caused the window to shatter. They sent out a tech who eventually called me back saying they aren't going to warranty the window because they couldn't prove that something didn't hit the window. I told them that it happened while I was driving and nothing could have hit the rear window while I was moving forward. Then they changed their story to they only warranty workmanship issues or defects in the glass. I argued that the glass must of had a defect for it to just shatter like that but they said they still won't warranty the glass. So much for a lifetime warranty. I don't see how they would admit anything was their fault. I won't be doing business here again. Buyer beware. You get what you pay for here. And you may end up paying twice. Just a quick update. I had the broken Safelite window replaced at another glass company and they showed me where Safelite scratched the paint taking out the original window. My new window from the new glass company is working fine. Safelite just didn't want to admit they installed an inferior window. Don't do business here or believe anything they say. It may be cheaper but you'll get what you pay for.

The guy said it’s corroded trim it won’t seal I said it’s fine it’s a race car. Then said he can’t do it even though he just said he could put it in but it won’t be water tight I agree an can’t get what he offered. Customer isn’t always right apparently about what product or service they want. Imagine a roofer coming to tear off your roof an lay down a new one, an they say sorry we can’t do the job we said we could cause this tear off an install would require me to add drip edge and facia boards and I can’t all I can do is pull shingles and lay shingles. Not a roofer I’m a shingles. This guy said he can then wouldn’t. Then stated he was only able to pull windows an set new ones anything that required an extra effort or materials for the job to be done wasn’t with him an they don’t get it done if it’s more work than the bare minimum. Safelite auto glass is a joke. Just call any mon big name auto glass an they do it no problem and are professional about an do what they say they can. Safelite should give a heads up if a car is old an has anything wear am tear on it they can’t do it. Well according the guy he can but won’t donit because I asked for a non sealed window and apparently I can’t get what I want from their services with my money even though they stayed their the best in the industry. Best at being generic and not helpful, it was like talking to a third grader that could only say what he was told nothing wlse

I was very pleased with this experience. I needed my windshield replaced right away as I had to go out of town. I was able to set it all up online and I was surprised and pleased that they had availability the next day. The price was very close to the charges if I had taken it somewhere and waited on it to be done. The technician, Jacob was very friendly and accommodating when I called a couple hours before my scheduled appointment window and told him that I had a sick cat that needed to go to the vet but I was afraid I might be late to get back for my appointment for the windshield. He was so kind and understanding of my dilemma and suggested that he could communicate with me through text to make sure we could get the windshield replaced today, which I really appreciated! It all worked out! My cat got to the vet and I have a new windshield and Jacob even swept out the car and washed the windows. I would definitely recommend Safelite.

Wow i thought safelite would be the quickest and easiest way to go till i got my quote. $929.15 to replace a driver side rear door glass. I couldn’t believe it so I did some research and found the same glass they was going to install for 161.xx after tax and next day for pick up same part number. As I looked through the quote from safelite they are charging tariff for glass that is made about 15 mins from their shop. I have used them multiple times on other vehicles including commercial and I can promise that after such a make up and or attempting to charge almost $800 for labor for an hours worth of work I’ll never call them again. I installed the thing even went deeper into the door to get all the glass out of the door frame more then they would have or have in the past and was done in under an hour. Check around people this is price gauging highway robbery at its finest.

Got my windshield replaced on Friday, 31st. Two stars for clean waiting area and friendly service. And the replacement itself is functional. I got my car washed twice so far no leaking issues. However, the details of workmanship are not so satisfying. I saw gaps between the window seals and car trim immediately after the replacement. The glass is not centered either. Hopefully this won’t cause any leaking in the future. And when I was trying to apply some water repellent today, I found a scratch and some unremovable glue spots on the hood. So if you love your car, you might want to choose another place.

I have to be honest, these guys couldn’t have been more professional, respectful, and thorough. Even when giving me bad news that my camera couldn’t be calibrated due to my car being lowered with aftermarket tires, they still remained incredibly polite and professional. Came out late with no notification, even though I paid for The early appointment walked around with my van with his hands in his pockets and told me he wouldn’t touch it because the windshield had been replaced before and there might be rust under it. Absolutely ridiculous. I have been waiting over a month for the windshield to be replaced. Thanks for the huge waste of time.

Nash came out to replace my windshield. He called on the way to let me know he was coming. He let me watch and answered my questions. He did an amazing job! It was easy to schedule online and Safelite worked with my insurance company and the repair didn't cost me anything. We had to reschedule a few times this week due to weather conditions. Today, George and Jacob came by to replace our windshield and absolutely killed it! They were both very knowledgeable and also great to have around. They showed up with great attitudes and knocked out the job in just a few minutes. I would highly recommend these guys for any project you may have.

Had an absolutely amazing experience with this location. The price was great and the service was even better! Wait time was only an hour an half..not bad at all esp since they have a nice waiting room with a bathroom, snacks and drinks free of charge, they offer their wifi password, and there's is also a tv. Great job safelite of mansfield👏👏👏
