Worst. Experience. Ever. It took them FOUR attempts to fix my windshield. First one cracked, second time they brought the wrong glass, third time they didn't repair rubber molding, and now I have a 4th appointment for them to fix the rubber. Second visit tech was cussing (Mark), angry, dropping the F-bomb - the works. They even tried to tell me that the molding would require a WHOLE NEW WINDSHIELD. NIGHTMARE. Time windows are any time from 8-5 they'll show up. Call Safelite (I did). Our windshield cracked again from a rock (not Mel's fault). Safelite had given me a time window, texted me when their en route, gave me a real time map update as to when the tech would be here, etc., Extremely professional. They even went above and beyond and changed my appointment type from “windshield replace” to “windshield repair” when I called the day of, apologizing, indicating that I was wrong and didn’t need the windshield replaced – just fixed. Jason, the tech from safelite, was AWESOME. Extremely professional, nice, accommodating, and quick. He even gave me a discount on the repair because the promo code I used from the Safelite website technically didn’t apply to repairs (just replacements) which was MY misunderstanding, not theirs. He felt bad with the nightmare Mel had created so he knocks $30.00 of the repair (which was $5.00 more than the promo code had even given me).

Mels replaced my windshield but broke the windshield trim in the process. I wish they had told me and repaired it instead of waiting for me to get on the highway and have them come loose and almost fly off. One piece I only caught because it's a convertible and I had the top down and was able to grab it. I had to push to get them to order replacements and bill my insurance so it wasn't coming out of either of our pockets. Just ended up dragging out a process longer than it should have. But in the end they made it right and the windshield itself is very nice.

Made an appointment for the next day at 10:00 via telephone for windshield replacement and was told it would take about an hour. I arrived at 9:50. At 12:20 I asked the status of my car. When they came back they said it was being brought around now. I asked if there was a reason it took so long. The answer was they'd made a mistake in scheduling and my appointment was actually 11:00. The next time I hope they tell the customer what's going on instead of letting them get frustrated and angry while hoping they don't ask why is it taking so long!

Worst customer service I have ever dealt with. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Scheduled an appointment, called me around 2pm to confirm appointment, 2 hours later they called back and said they didn't have the windshield, it was in Cincinnati and didn't have time to get it. My wife called off work to sit at home all day and wait for them, when i asked the lady why schedule and appointment she said "its not my fault". Was told Mel or Lisa would call me about 4 times about the situation. Stay away.

Unfortunately, we had a few trucks broken into and windows shattered. We called Mel's and they came right out and fixed them all in one day. We are used to providing great service, but seldom do we receive it. This was a "Wow"... I'm not sure if any other glass company could have fixed this many windows in a short time such as this. Thanks Mel's!!!

I had a great experience using Mel's Auto Glass! I filed a claim for my windshield through Statefarm and Mel's customer service was quick in scheduling and making sure I got the exact wind shield that I wanted! Alan the technician came out the next day and did a great job with the repair! He even moved my stickers from the old windshield to the new.

Live in Dayton and they come up when you google windshield repair, they don't even provide service here, only in Cincinnati or Northern Kentucky is what I was told when I called. Not to mention they wanted $250 just to reseal a windshield.

The staff and Alan were wonderful. They were very accommodating since I have kids to drop off and pick up from school. We would absolutely call them again and are very grateful we found them.PositiveProfessionalism

Excellent customer service! I needed the windshield replaced while I was at work. They got the job done in the time frame they promised and submitted my insurance paperwork for me. Fantastic work!
