I've been dealing with Safelite for the last two months now. The first guy came out on June 5th in an attempt to fix our windshield, but he ended up breaking the new one he brought and had to put our old cracked one back in. Then he ended up cracking our old one on the driver's side and another crack on the passenger side. So now our windshield had three cracks in it. Then he scheduled another appointment for the 18th, in which he never showed or called. Meanwhile, I had to call Safelite again and reschedule another appointment. This new guy reached out to me and informed me he was on his way out, and I even gave him directions to the house. He then reached out to me again and informed me he was close, and the call dropped. I had made several attempts to get in contact immediately after we lost contact with each other, and he ignored my attempts multiple times. I then reached out to the company shortly afterwards and rescheduled the appointment, only to be informed by the lady stating that he couldn't get a hold of me, and there was no vehicle in the driveway when he arrived. So he lied and said he called me and I hung up on him, and stated he couldn't find our address. So I had to call again and reschedule another appointment. Guess we'll see how that goes. Safelite job was completed today, Thursday the 3rd, finally! But the service tech managed to chip the glass on the lower driver's side of the windshield. This damage was recorded on video, just in case they don't want to take responsibility. He also left garbage on the center console. After the job was completed, we traveled 6 miles and made it back home; I didn't even notice he didn't reinstall our radio antenna and just left it on top of the Jeep. I wouldn't have even noticed it laying on top of the vehicle until I reached up to grab my bottle of water. I tell ya, man! Completely unprofessional! Guess I should be thankful it even got done. Word to the wise, if your insurance company offers you a different alternative to windshield replacement, just take it and save yourself the hassle.

I have used Safelite in other places in the US and they were great, this place is terrible. I went last month to get my windshield replaced, an early morning appointment. Upon arrival I was told that they didn't have the glass for my windshield. I asked how that was possible when I had an appointment I needed to cancel two weeks prior and was told they probably sent the glass back to the warehouse? um what?! Well that was an hour + drive there and back. I called a few days later to reschedule the appointment and mentioned that I hope they get the glass in and don't send it back to the warehouse and I was told they never do that. Hmmm, someone wasn't being quite honest with me. Fast forward, I had my drop off by 9:30am appt today and my husband brought the car in befor 9am today.. He has wandered around Fargo since then and just went to pick up the car, closing is supposedly at 5pm. He shows up they tell him " they don't leave until the cars are done, could be by 8pm". My car has not even been touched yet?! this is supposedly a 3 hour process, so will the car be ready by 8pm. Doubtful. They don't answer their phones, i had the 800 number try to contact them to find out what is going on. I will never use this safelite's services again. what a horrible disaster. I probably won't get my car back until tomorrow. PS I should have looked at their Google reviews, apparently other people have had similar bad experiences here.

I would never recommend safelite to anyone. I had my rear window (on trunk) replaced last month by safelite specifically for the lifetime warranty. Last week I find myself standing outside my vehicle before work starts talking with my coworker when he hear a loud sound go off. We look towards the sound to find that my rear window just spontaneously blew out (not from heat as this was around 7am). Obviously either the window was defective or installation was not done properly. I schedule a warranty replacement last Friday and the appointment came and went with nobody coming to replace the window. I then scheduled another replacement for this morning. I end up getting a call with them telling me that my window would not be replaced under warranty, but they would replace it if I paid for it. Simply ridiculous, and they blamed it on the manager for not warranty-ing it. Of course the manager was busy on another line but they would call me back.....surprise surprise no call. Do not ever use them or fall for they're warranty claims as they will NOT be honored. UPDATE. I try the contact us link that Safelite responds with last work because I knew that would be their reply to my review. It also was unhelpful as it has not generated any remedy or even any communication back to me.

My overall experience with this Safelite shop was great. It was super easy, convenient, and professional. My vehicle is insured through Progressive with a policy that includes $0 Glass Deductible. All I had to do to get my front windshield replaced was open the Progressive app and schedule an appointment. I opted to have my windshield replaced at their shop instead of having a technician come to where my car is located. I did this to ensure that if they had any issues that required specialty tools they would have close access to them right away. The day I arrived at Safelite at 3:00PM, all I had to do was hand over my keys and sit in their waiting area. They had plenty chairs, a TV tuned to a local channel, a fridge with bottles of water in it, and a nice selection of snacks. After about an hour and fifteen minutes, my car was ready and had a nice new crack-less windshield on the front of it. To my surprise, they even went above and beyond and cleaned my car floors as well. From the front desk receptionist to the actual technician that worked on my car. Everyone was super friendly and easy to work with. Will recommend this shop to anyone who needs their windows fixed.

What a bizzare experience. I used to bring all my vehicles here but it's been a few years and my how far they've fallen. I'm convinced this place is no longer in business and an AI is running it. Nobody answers the phone except an automated message that basically says YOU need to go online and do all the work. I got sent dozens of email and text appointment reminders and they never showed up or called in their 5 hour window. I rescheduled the appointment since it was through my insurance and again they didn't show up. You can't call anyone because nobody answers the phones. I finally called my insurance and said I'll be bringing it elsewhere and sending them the bill as I'm done. Best you can expect out of these clowns as I've read the other reviews is an automated response apologizing and telling you to email customer support. News flash, that also doesn't work. I've finally come to the point where if a living person local to the shop doesn't answer the phone and it's been third partied out or automated I hang up as they clearly don't care and you are just a number to them.

What a rude awakening. The commercials are FAR from the reality of this place. The catchy jingle and pitch make you think there's people that give you excellent service with a smile. I went in to inquire about a business card or price list of services. The lady behind the counter was very standoffish. She gave me a strange look and told me they don't do business cards or do pricelists. Pretty much treated me like I was asking her for spare change and a cigarette... I literally had to ask her how they operate. To which she was just left to answer yes or no questions. Not a good first impression. Very unprofessional way of running your business. You know those little glass chips they advertise they can fix so easily is what i asked about? She said $150.00 to $175.00 starting. That's a hard pass. I got a brand new windshield across town from another business with excellent customer service for 240 dollars. I'm not going to pay that high of a price for low grade service. There are PLENTY of other options in town with stellar service.

I set up an 9:00 apountment and told it would take 1.5-2 hours. At 10:30 the tech called to say he just got my vehicle and was starting a walk around. Stated it would be at least 3 hours before he was done. He did inform me I would be getting a survey with my bill so please remember there is a difference between he and the front desk/management. I couldn’t reach the store by phone and was transferred to a call center who had extreme difficulty reaching the store. There wasn’t a manager there but some other tech told me it would be ready for at 2:00. And it might be taking so long because of rust and several other possible excuses. The vehicle is 18 months old so I doubt much rust. Ended up finally done before 2:30. I did speak with a manager who stated he understood why I was upset but 🤷🏻‍♂️. Nice response. I did get free overpriced wipers so that I guess should make up for everything. The windshield does appear to be installed correctly and seems to be good.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! We paid for and scheduled an appointment online. On the morning of the appointment the technician did not show up. He then proceeded to call us 6 times throughout the day to reschedule the appointment, each time calling again to reschedule. He never did show up. He stopped answering our phone calls. It is now been 5 days since our appointment and our windshield still has not been fixed. I have called customer service over and over and over again and I get the runaround and no one can help me and no one can get me to someone that can. I cannot find a way to get a refund, I cannot find a way to complain about the technician, I cannot find a way to get a new appointment. This has been the worst experience ever and I want everyone to know about it. (The technician's name is Felix. If that helps anyone.) I strongly suggest that you do not use this company!

Update- it has been weeks without a refund or anyone that can help resolve this. Next step is small claims court and report to BBB. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. And don't pay beforehand. This business directs all customer service calls nation wide and you can't talk to anyone local. They tell you the manager from fargo will be in contact and she never follows up. DO NOT PRE PAY Pre-paid for a windshield replacement that the tech was a no-show for. Then I got sent an invoice stating it did get completed. I've rescheduled 2 times, and still nothing. Trying to get this resolved seems impossible. No one gets back to you. This might be a coincidence, but I'm getting this replaced after I just had a side window replaced by safelite. Then, a few weeks later, my windshield spontaneously broke, just like another review had happen.

Michelle at the front desk is extremely unhelpful and threatened me with collections after servicing my vehicle about a week and a half ago. She called me at 8 on a saturday morning and within our 3 minute call she had threatened to send me to collections by the end of the day if I can't display a reciept showing payment for my service. I have an email from them showing I paid which wasn't enough, unfortunately their receipt only displays for 7 days which had passed. Extremely poor customer service to immediately go to collections within 12 hours of notifying someone of their payment not posting on THEIR end. Ended up paying and if I am double charged I will just dispute it with my bank. Should have gone with a local business - lesson learned.
