I made the trip to Boone to visit my favorite servicing auto dealership. It gives us an excuse to come to Boone from Winston-Salem. On the way up, a lumber truck through a rock. It put a large bullet like hole in my windshield. I just knew that there was no way it could be repaired. I placed several calls inquiring the process for windshield repair. With the current Co-vid related issues, and to put it nicely, I received no good news. I asked my dealership if there was a local place to call and inquire about a possible repair, to hold me over until the windshield could be replaced. Appalachian was recommended. I phoned and spoke with Chris. He immediately said come on by. I will take a look. Not only did Chris and his associate stop what they were doing, they repaired what seemed to be an unrepairable windshield. The cost was nearly nothing. The experience far exceeded any expectations. This is the way a business should be run!

We live in a relatively small town and things are different here; i.e., mountain attitude; a reliance on reliability, honesty and hospitality, and pretty much a foregone conclusion that most businesses and most customers are honest. This business placed at the top in these regards and I can’t be more grateful that we have businesses like this as a given. Anyway, a chipped windshield, a quick phone call, an appointment, and a quick fix, along with a nice conversation with the owner and, for me, a lifetime commitment to not only continue using this business but also to recommend them whenever someone has a similar problem. Water had been leaking into my car and I knew it was likely due to the sunroof drain being clogged. I called Appalachian Auto Glass to set up an appointment and they said I could bring it in the next day. Dropped it off that next morning and later the same day, they let me know it was good to go and ready for pickup! They didn’t even charge me even though he said it was more labor intensive than anticipated due to how clogged it was. We will be back for a windshield replacement in a different car which is the only reason I agreed to no payment. Excellent service, definitely recommend!!

Amazing folks with 10/10 customer service! (and they are pretty funny too lol) I had my windshield replaced last year by them and it was super easy & stress free! Well I must have the worst luck ever because my windshield got hit by another rock this year and they patched it up for me before it could turn into a bigger issue!! I was in and out within the hour, they even cleaned the inside of the windshield for me & it was so clear I had to poke it to make sure it was really still glass! 😭🤣

We have a 2009 Toyota Corolla, which was leaking into the floorboard behind the driver's seat. We had tried to find the leak and thought we had fixed it, but it still leaked. Appalachian Auto Glass did find the leak and got it sealed. They were so professional and thorough and didn't give up until they found where water was coming in. Professional, honest and reasonable. Had a fantastic experience getting my windshield replaced! Scheduling an appointment was a breeze (I submitted a request through their website and was able to chat back and forth). While in the shop, they kept me up to date throughout the process and invited me to reach out if I had any questions after leaving. The installation itself turned out perfect. These guys know what customer service is all about, and it shows. I will come back for any future auto glass needs!

These are the nicest, most professional people I’ve met in years! I took my car in because of a leak, they were very busy but dropped what they were doing and checked out my car, they fixed it in 30 minutes…then, they said no charge….wow, I could hardly believe my ears! They certainly have my business and I will tell everyone about them. Wish there were more people out there like them and not because of it being free, but because they cared. Thank you!!

I am incredibly grateful to have Appalachian Auto Glass in Boone. After fleeing the hurricane, my windshield sustained a major crack. John and Sean were extremely helpful and efficient, ensuring my windshield was replaced within just a few days. Additionally, when I later chipped my new windshield, they repaired it at no cost since it was within 90 days of the installation. Their excellent service and dedication to their customers truly stand out.

As a very busy chimney sweep it’s hard to find time to take the truck off line for anything. Took my car in for a leaking windshield. I have no idea how they came to the conclusion that it was a clogged sunroof drain, but they did. The person I hired to fix the "leaking sunroof" found no clog, but tested the windshield just to be safe. He was able to push it out of the frame on both sides - the seal was completely loose. I'd recommend taking your vehicle to someone who actually checks out the problem instead of just assuming.
